Kiryu's actually a really nice guy who wouldn't put his hands on anyone that didn't have it coming to them.

All of those men just made the very poor decision to jump or mug him.

I really like Tekken 7’s OST

I saw the first Yakuza, so I sorta know that part of him.

Tekken 7's finals are on, so we'll probably get something afterward news wise.

I know the bears win their share of tournaments but it's still hilarious seeing them succeed every time.

I wouldn't put my chips on this one. But let's see if Harada has something for the game or if he wrapped it up.

We already know Season 2's coming because of a leak somewhere. Hopefully they kick it off with the Dragon of Dojima, but we'll see.

If he can address the fact that Arcade Mode has no endings, I'd give him the benefit of doubt. On the rest, I won't rain on others' parades. After all, Tekken 7 still sold better than Street Fighter V.

I can only hope Harada learned something from Yoshinori Ono.

There are already character endings for everyone who wasn't directly involved in the story, they're just not tied to arcade mode. What you're asking for isn't reasonable, and it wouldn't enhance the game experience in any significant way, particularly given Tekken is well past its honey moon, casual explosion period.

Given the very story is still quite unfinished, I'd say it could still not be over. Kazumi's case was even ignored in the main story, for example.

Also, I wouldn't say it's unreasonable. Right now I have no reason to play the game's Arcade Mode, or actually play the game at all.

As far as we know Kazumi's only in the game because of her ties to story mode, and the playable version's a balanced variant not unlike mostly-human Jinpachi in Tag 2 that's largely noncanonical for the time period, or like Devil Jin in general outside some very specific appearances.

I get wanting to get more story content, but you're probably going to have to wait until Tekken 8 for that.

Most casual fans don't. Fighting games get their longevity out of the competitive aspect, and if that doesn't interest you there's only but so much content they can keep producing for you to chew through and toss aside before you're right back here barking for more. I'm all for a robust single player experience, but it's already got Treasure Battles, a full fledged Story Mode, endings for the vast majority of the cast, Tekken Bowl, bonus bosses only fought under special conditions, and Survival.

There's a reason most fighting game DLC is new characters, since those extend the life of the game for the audience that's going to stick with it more than a few minutes of CGI cutscene.

Except that what I want is not a myriad of modes, but the very basics, which the japanese industry is quite much abandoning.

On Kazumi, this is not the treatment you give to a Final Boss in a fighting game. It's actually a very bad play coming from Harada. Azazel was treated better than this, despite almost being a Giant Space Flea from Nowhere no matter how we look at it.

It has the basics. Arcade mode is here. Survival is here. A cinematic Story Mode is here, and more. All the character endings are in the game, you just need to finish story mode and play a special character specific match afterward to watch them.

I don't understand what is you want out of this game, otherwise. You know I've got no problem criticizing a game, but it legitimately seems like you're whining about nothing in this instance.

Considering Kazumi was dead before Tekken 1 she can't exactly effect the plot all that much. She is simply the arcade final boss.

Then why put her as a boss now? If she's meant to have no effect on the current story, why make her appear as a boss rather than just an NPC like the reporter? Do you see the writing problem here? Basically Harada turned a character that could have importance to what he loved to call "the final episode of the Mishima storyline" (which it isn't by any manner of thought as Jin and Kazuya are still around) to what amounts to be a Giant Space Flea from Nowhere.

Harada basically outed himself as a really bad writer, if only by accident.

Hashil: Why have an Arcade Mode that gives you nothing in exchange for the challenge? Tekken 6 had that problem, and so this game. Also, T6 did the "Endings included in the Story Mode" thing way better, in that it offered you something to make you work for it.

But I can understand your point, if anything. I tend to stick a lot by my own principles and moral code, which rarely stays much in tune with the rest of the people. Comes with being an Aspie. There, I said it. Now people will start accusing me of using this as a "get out of jail free card".

Nope I have no issue with how it was done considering this is the first and so far only game she was in. Sounds like a really odd complaint to even have. It's not the first time a character has been in a game and have minimal to do with the story.

This wouldn't be the first time a dead character has had an effect on events long past their own death. Your essentially making a mountain out of an ant hill. The arcade boss doesn't have to be based on the story since the plot is in story mode.

Because she's relevant to story mode, the model's already there, and arcade mode has no story tied to it, so they can use whoever as the final boss - may as well make it Devil Kazumi. Evil Ryu's a common fixture in Street Fighter but canonically he's existed for like a collective 12 seconds.

Either way, grand finals is on and it's not particularly hype. DLC announcement imminent hopefully.

somehow negan makes less sense in tekken 7's setting than Akuma or Noctis.

What does Season 2 mean? Also, after Noctis, it's quite obvious Harada is riding on other franchises' star power rather than trusting his own product.

Which, given Geralt in Soul Calibur VI, may be true of Namco as a whole.
