Either that or the alternate Stars screwed up in other ways.

The other stars have their own problems. I imagine a few probably did not lose their spell books.

Biggest contenders right now are Star and Jackie, but there's also Janna, newcomer Hekapoo, and Gay Option Tom.

So that was an alright episode. Though for some reason I'm getting some weird vibe from a few of the episodes lately. Like, some kind of theme to them to do with Star's character.

[up] This is just me spitballing, but:

  • Star breaks conventions, or fails to measure up to them (Raid the Cave, Baby, Mathmagic)
  • not being able to fix stuff (Raid the Cave, Trickstar, The Bounce Lounge)
  • growing up (Running With Scissors, The Bounce Lounge)
  • potential self (Baby, Running With Scissors, Mathmagic)
  • taking responsibility, and the first steps in an unknown direction (Raid the Cave, Mathmagic)

Actually that's far more thought out than what I was thinking, I only got as far as three episodes. Still, basically that

In general the running themes seem to be that Star needs to take responsibility for her own personal development, and also the notion that despite that she won't always be able to fix every problem she comes across. The combination of those two could lead to some interesting conflicts.

And here's one for "Raid the Cave". Don't remember if it was posted yet.

I haven't seen the episode just yet, I'll give my thoughts on it when it airs again in a little over an hour.

Should we still try and work out the spoiler policy for this thread?

[up]I think you may wanna fix your post and delete the spoiler in there. We kinda have a policy in the thread not to talk about spoilers until the day said spoiler airs.

The episode did make me curious about a few of the alternate universe that were shown.
There was a Star who was dressed like her mother, and there was a Star who was dressed like Ludo... And one was a dumplinghead! I wonder how many of the non-human ones were just transformed and how many were from a reality where, say, everybody was always made of candy.

I imagine a few probably did not lose their spell books.
Sure, and didn't we see one reality where Ms. Skullnick wasn't transformed into a troll?

So Star is the worse version of herself in all the parralel realities. Well that's good to know!
Means there's nowhere to go but up!

Somehow, the idea of Star being the "worst version of Star in all parallel universes" makes me chuckle to no end.

Then I saw the episode where they're Getting The Band Back Together to save a club. I kind of liked that more for its good story and lesson (Nothing lasts forever), while I loved the time loop episode for its entertainment and humor.
