I forgot he even existed.

I remember him from that tournament arc that didn't go anywhere.

I had to look it him up, and even still I assumed he was just a placeholder archetype for a tournament arc. Don't remember him at all, unlike fellow Nobunaga Hazama from Hunter x Hunter. No impressions what so ever.

That 2 fighting festival really was just a waste of time.

I mean we all know those guys weten't gonna be relavent or capable so stop trying to pull the wool over us that they aren't.

At least he's a memember of a main antagonist group & did shit.

First one was fun for a simple Let's You and Him Fight setup, second was pretty extraneous.

How are we talking wasted characters but not bringing up Arthur and Cath?

The fact that he's still dead and never accomplished anything of value is part of what makes me feel this can't actually be the end of the story, despite very much feeling like it is.

... that's literally what started the conversation.

I would have liked to learn more more about Arthur and Merlin's relationship.

Also, whatever happened to Cath?

Really? Well that's embarrassing.

I think the cat thing got its aaa kicked or something.

I assume Arthur will come back to life sooner or later so he can be, you know, King Arthur and have his own adventures. Maybe he'll wake up just in time to match the age of Ban and Elaine's son or something.

Seriously, you can't have an Arthurian mythos story where King Arthur dies before doing literally anything but drawing Excalibur. You can't. He doesn't have to be involved in this story, you don't have to tell us his story, but his story has to happen.

What a joke the DK turned out to be.

I know Supreme Goddess is next at this rate but god that will be a joke too with how things ended here. FF handled Light vs Dark/Divine vs Demons way better even as it has Dark guys as villains. Including XI Vs soon to be expansion when the army of Light seeks to consume a world and everyone who lives there.

I like the Supreme Deity Curse is gross in its own way. One eye and a bunch of wings.

But yeah I wasn't impressed. DK was a joke.

Wait, that's it? Mael was more impressive than this. Hendy was much more impressive than this.

Yup. The power creep was written so badly you can't take it seriously.

Wait, is the series over?

Epilogue is multiparta but yes this was the final battle.

Even though it felt nothing like this.

Eh, it's not over till there's an announcement about it.

Oh, whatever is my reaction to that nonsense.

I mean it ending with a whimper would be proper with what weve seen.

So here’s a reminder of what Nakaba said said on the Trivia page under Word of God:

According to Suzuki Nakaba in an interview with Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of Final Fantasy, Nakaba tries to emulate the same amount of effort and love that was taken in the creation of various characters from games such Final Fantasy I and Chrono Trigger (which would explain the art style, considering how close it is to Akira Toriyama's) when creating his own characters.

Nakaba has also stated in the same interview that he plans to end the manga with a "satisfying" ending. What he means by this is at the moment rather ambiguous as he mentions both Tragic Endings and Happy Endings, but at the very least he states that he plans to make an ending that will leave people saying "Wow, I'm glad I read this."

Any of you feeling that?

Even though I'm much less harsh on this series than most here, I'll agree that end was a bit of a wet fart. Seems like Nakaba ran out of ideas a while ago. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
