Yes, if it looks like a ten year old, you are attracted to drawn ten-year-olds. It doesn't really matter that they're Really 700 Years Old. That being said, do I think people who like lolicon are necessarily attracted to children in real life? No.

It involves the main love interest kidnapping the MC right out of the gate, and promises there will be at least slightly less of the "super special main character" bullshit than other L Ns on top of a female cast that won't quickly become totally irrelevant.

On the other hand, useless underpowered harem leaders are also a common problem, so let's hope it doesn't go that direction either.
Mhm. The balancing act here is that if there's nothing special about the protagonist, there's no good reason why he should be the protagonist. You want him special enough to justify his main character status, but not so special that he kills the tension or overshadows everyone else.
I think there's a whole spectrum in between those extremes making it very surprising how much some authors miss the mark with no good reason.
"Hmm, main character powers. I want him to have all the powers of God. Conflict? Oh yeah, he blows people up sometimes."
"He's not special at all but I'm going to base an entire show around him. Everybody cares about him in spite of his apparent lack of interest in anything. No I don't even think I want him to rise to the occasion."

Aikatsu is getting 3rd season. I'm rather mixed with this. I do like Akari as a character, but to have her ascending to main character level is too quick for me. Also, it is implied that Dream Academy ceased to exist.
