- Occupation: Slave.
- Religion: Not religious.
- Personality: The Big Guy, yet somehow tall and lanky. In personality and ability, but not appearance, anyway. Joana is an Anti-Hero who believes that Good Is Not Soft, and she's the first to pull a knife in a fight, still, she's not without a sense of morals. She's benevolent to those who show her kindness or who she believes are kind, even if they show a rough exterior. As a former slave, she's no stranger to starvation, rape, humiliation, and other terrors. As a result, she's callous and stoic. She weathers the worst tortures with a grimace as she vows to return the favor. She's very passionate about her goals, which mostly involve fucking shit up for people who have done her harm.
- Artifact: I don't know anything about mythical items or anything, but I'mma say that the chain around her neck originally belonged her first love, Thersa, who was the favorite concubine of the guy who owned them. It's a slender, silver choke chain that contains the memory of Thersa, who believed and confided in Joana to set them free. Now her spirit inspires Joana to keep fighting, and subtly guides her.
- Weapon: Just that behemoth of a sword. It'a dull, heavy slab of unpolished steel.
- History: She was a slave in the manor of a South American crime lord since she was a little girl. She was beaten and abused a lot, and never understood her own worth until she met Thersa. Thersa believed in her, and they made a pact that they and the other slaves would break free and burn the place down. Their owner killed Thersa, and in a fit of violent rage, killed just about everybody, buried Thersa, and set the whole place on fire. She didn't get out unscathed, though. The lord's goons shot her a couple of times, and she died a few days later.
- Sins: Lesbianism, making a massacre, not believing in God.
