This looks interesting, though someday I wish somebody'd focus on Purgatorio or Paradiso. Inferno is getting dull.

• Name: Count Isaac Penham
• Sex: Male
• Age: 44 years old
• Appearance: The guy with the hammer
• Occupation: Fencer/Buissnessman
• Religion: Christian. Member of the British Church.
• Personality: Extremely arrogant, exploitative and short tempered, yet competitive, viewing most things as a challenge. He is also obsessed with history and believes himself to have been born in the wrong century.
• Magical Artifact(s):
  • Skin of the Serpent: A vest made from unnaturally hard scales which constantly changes colours. It is in fact made from the skin of the dragon that St. George slew.
  • The Mirror of Medusa: A small hand mirror which have the capability to reflecting attacks that hit's it's surface, however if the mirror is angled the returning attack is as well. Homing attacks ignore it but gaze attacks does not.
• Weapon(s): An edged rapier which have the ability to grow in length with the speed of a bullet, allowing Isaac to impale or cut opponents from a long distance, and then retract to normal size. It is also capable of discharging a powerful electric shock that can fry a normal person
• History: Isaac was the son of a wealthy count in England who started to practice fencing at a young age and became quite good at it. At the age of 37 he had inherited his parents wealth and business empire and moved to America where he set up an underground fighting ring where competitors would fight for money, all for his own sick desire to prove himself the best fighter in a battle to life and death. He did not stop at volunteers either but he also kidnapped and dueled people who had wronged him in various way. This lasted until he fought the wrong person who ended up crushing his throat.
• Sins: Pride and Wrath. He was prideful enough to believe himself invincible and kill those who challenged him, and Wrathful enough to kidnap and kill those who wronged him.

You can't have the scales of the serpent as an artifact because that serpent was Satan, and Satan is still alive.

You could say that Satan simply wore the scales of the serpent - so Satan can give them away whilst still being alive and sinin'

What about a scale of the Serpent? It could have been dropped somewhere, would still have magical properties.

• Name: Timothy Agee
• Sex: Male
• Age: 49
• Religion: Southern Baptist
• Appearance: Well groomed with a pompadour of tastefully graying blond hair and blue eyes wearing an expensive suit.
• Personality: Oozes false piety. Convinced he doesn't belong here, arrogant, especially to those below him, a coward underneath a blustering exterior.
• Magical Artifacts: The Ring and Dagger of the Borgias. Belonging to Alexander VI and Cesare Borgia respectively, the first adds to the wearers persuasiveness and allows him to command lesser monsters and demons (how lesser I leave to the GM) The second is permanently poisoned and deals extra damage if you strike from behind.
• Weapons: See above. Also, if allowed, a small automatic pistol.
• History: Tim grew up the son of a preacher man and was himself a child preacher beginning at the age of twelve. His father was an odd mix of con man and fanatic, raising Tim in the belief that when one "gave one self body, heart and soul to Jesus" that all sins past and future were forgiven. He and Tim, who took over his father's ministry and took it to the airwaves both on television and radio translated this as a get out of Hell free card and both acted accordingly so Tim had no problem embezzling from his successful ministry or cheating on his wife with partners of both sexes and all ages. Unfortunately for him said wife reached a breaking point when she caught him "ministering" to a sixteen year old girl parishioner (well, for a certain value of "ministry", he was on his knees at the time) and shot him with his own gun.

Well my interpretation has always been that the Serpent was actually a dragon. After all before being cursed by Yahweh it had legs. What would you call a walking snake with at least human intelligence and the ability to talk and (maybe) cast a charm on someone? Oh and in the Judaic interpretation the Serpent and Satan are not synonymous. Make of that what you will.

Maybe it's a chatty iguana? :p

Name: Sylvain Mullins
Sex: Male
Age: 43
Appearance: Approximately like so. Tall and slender, with long limbs.
Occupation: Pharmacist
Religion: Agnostic
Personality: Lazy and uncaring, Sylvain cares about little more than himself and his most immediate needs. He does not ask for much, but is used to getting things his way. Still, he enjoys luxury. Sylvain hates getting personally involved or having to do something himself, and prefers to sit and waste time with idle past-times like puzzles, games and riddles, none of which is a match for his intellect. His favourite position is a place where someone depends on him and others serve him, and he is used to having servants or goons to do his work for him.
Magical Artifact(s): The Flower Basket of Persephone. This beautifully wrought wicker basket of indeterminable fibres carries a large bunch of colourful flowers, branches and smaller plants of a myriad of shapes. The plants come from the Elysian gardens and the fields of Hell, and can induce various magical effects if ingested or it enters the bloodstream in powder or liquid form. Sylvain has little difficulty gleaning the effects of the various plants, and knows what will harm and what will heal. Aiding in his use of these plants are the Gauntlets of Vlad Dracula, that are covered in tiny, sharp barbs. When he crushes a plant in their grip, the residue of the plant sticks to the barbs so that it spreads in the victim's body as long as blood is drawn.
Weapon(s): The gauntlets, as well as a Glock 18C and a simple all-purpose knife.
History: A genius pharmacist, Sylvain grew up to the sound of praise about his intellect and abilities. Once he had his degree in pharmacology and medicine, however, he decided that it would be much easier to earn his money peddling narcotics to drug lords than medicine over the counter. Over the years, he established an effective MO, where he would set up base in recently pacified areas of strife and get cozy with local gangsters and criminals, having them sell his drugs and paying him shares of their earnings. On the side, he would sell difficult-to-produce or otherwise unavailable medicines and poisons at cut-throat prices. When the situation stabilized to the point where such elements were getting rooted out, he would withdraw all his assets in that country and find another place to start again. He finally died when the daughter of a victim of his drugs infiltrated his base disguised as his personal servant, and shot him in his sleep.
Sins: Sloth, pride and murder, with a touch of greed and lust.

Everything so far looks good. All accepted.

• Religion: Christian (Protestant)
• Personality: Adrian has a rather cheerful demeanor that belies his tortured soul. Adrian tries to be friendly to everyone he meets, which he owes to his 13 years of being a priest but has been known to snap at people who are overly disrespectful of other people's beliefs. After killing so many innocent bystanders in Vietnam, Adrian expected that his final resting place would be Hell.
• Magical Artifact(s):
  • Fragarach the Answerer: A rather sharp sword once wielded by Manannan mac Lir that allows it's user to keep a person from lying, provided that Fragarach is held to their throat.
• Weapon(s):
  • A Colt Python: Adrian believes that the big man upstairs protects him from evil, but sometimes a man's gotta take a more personal approach to things.
• History: Growing up in a military family greatly affected Adrian's outlook on life, especially his plans for the future. So when he turned eighteen, Adrian signed up with the Marines and shipped off to Vietnam thinking it'd be a great way to serve his country and he'd welcomed back as a War Hero. Things didn't go as planned. War Is Hell as they say, and Adrian learned rather quickly that few people make it out of large scale wars without their fair share of psychological wounds. After seeing the gruesome killings inflicted upon both sides, Adrian just snapped. No longer caring about how many civilian casualties he caused, as long as he was killing Viet Cong he was more than happy to kill innocents. When the war was over, Adrian regained some semblance of sanity and started feeling nothing but crushing guilt about all the innocent lives he had cut short. The first thing Adrian turned to in an attempt to dull the pain was drinking. After a while, Adrian realized that simply drinking his way into a stupor wasn't going to cut it and decided to see what religion could do for him. To cut a long story short, Adrian found that praying for strength seemed to be helping him overcome his guilt and decided that he wanted to help people do the same and became a priest. Despite his attempts to quit drinking, Adrian had difficulty stopping and ended up getting completely shitfaced on the night of his death. While he was drinking, Adrian ended up getting into an argument with a man which led to a fight. In his rage, Adrian ended up beating the man to death before stumbling into the street and getting hit by a speeding eighteen wheeler.
• Sins: Mainly Murder and Wrath with a few more minor sins sprinkled here and there, most stemming from his tour in Vietnam.

I really like your character. Accepted. Though, I would suggest adding another artifact, as you may be a bit underpowered.

Actually, after re-reading your character's history, I realize that he is good in God's eyes, and would not be fit in this game's Hell. You'll either have to rework his history so that he did not find peace through religion, or go with a different character. Or, you could reverse it and say he was a priest before he was a veteran.

Maybe he could have committed another big sin after he found god?

I think I'll just go with that. Gotta figure out which sin to go with though.
