Well I thought about going ahead today, but I dont know when today, especially since the lead would have to start with chuck and rai since they claimed the CO's not myself since I can not leave the ship. >.<

I got the initial post down, but the recruitment has to come from them.

Name: Peregrine "Perry" Perkins

Gender: Male

Age: 28

History: Perry was born on the island of Winter Holm a distinctly average island in terms of size, but further north then most. Despite being so close to the poles its actually warmer then a number of its neighboring islands simply due to the ocean currents simply bringing warmer waters to its. These somewhat nicer conditions made it the most populous island of its region and the home of the capital city of the region. Which happens to be were Peregrine Perkins grew up.

The capital city of Winter Holm, Snowhearth, was also the center of industry and innovation for the region. Perry was a poor orphan lad in this industry capital. He would often get into brawls in the street with other urchins in between daydreaming of soaring through the skies much like his namesake. He, like many other orphans, not having many other options in life, enlisted in the Winter Holm military. Which was when Perry finally got his first taste of flight. It was almost everything he had hoped it would be since he was but a lad. But something was missing. The enclosed canopy of the planes he piloted just felt somewhat constricting. Still it was great and amazing and he had a natural knack for it. Eventually he managed to get himself transferred over to being a test pilot for all sorts of fancy new toys.

One of these toys ended up being something astoundingly new. A flight system that didn't require wings or a fuselage, simply a backpack with a rocket engine. Perry took to this experimental jetpack like a duck to water. It wasn't perfect, having limited fuel supplies so it still need him to fly a specially modified plane to get to and from engagement zones. Still, it was an amazing device which he learned everything he could about it despite not being an engineer.

Unfortunately, one day, the head scientist of the jetpack group apparently snapped and went mad. No one is entirely sure what caused it, but he destroyed all the prototypes and blueprints and backups of the jetpack, and caused the entire lab to detonate taking out the rest of the staff with him. Which left Perry, who had been on a test flight at the time, not only the most knowledgeable living person about the jetpack but also the possessor of the only one left. Knowing that he would be grounded for the indefinite future as they went to work recovering all the lost progress, and hating the idea of it, he decided to go pirate. Taking the jetpack and specially modified Wanderfalke with him. Needless to say the government of Winter Holm isn't too happy with him.

Appearance: Peregrine is fairly short for a human, being only five foot five inches in height. Despite this he's fairly broad in the shoulders and his frame is packed with hard wiry muscles from a childhood full of brawling and an adulthood full of military service. His nose is a bit squashed due to being broken multiple times when he was younger. He has wavy dark short cropped aubrun hair and brown eyes. He is also quite pale by most pirate standards due to being from so far north.

Personality: Peregrine is very much a daredevil. He doesn't really have a concept of too dangerous, or suicidal. Only what's fun and exciting. Which makes it surprising that he hasn't done something to get himself killed yet after turning pirate. A number of crews he's joined up with in the past actually had pools betting on when he'd finally bite the bullet. That never really bothered Perry he finds it amusing.

Plane: "Renegade Lucky" Instead of a 20mm projectile nose cannon its been swapped out for a 20mm laser cannon. Also, the plane has an on-board automated piloting system that allows it to evade enemy combatants while still staying with in the combat zone. It has no offensive settings in its programming to minimize the chance of accidental friendly fire. It has also been specially modified for an nontraditional ejection system where instead of blowing the canopy and rocketing the pilot seat out, it dumps the pilot out of the bottom of the plane much like a bomb.

Equipment:

Jetpack: Perry's pride and joy and at the moment the only one of its kind still in existence. It has a fairly limited range due to a small fuel capacity.

Cutlass: A fairly hefty one handed blade he uses during boarding actions.

Laser Pistol: An energy based handgun that he uses in accord with his cutlass.

Sticky Bombs: Perry has three sticky bombs on his person whenever he goes out on a job, to breech the halls of dirigibles and the like with ease.

Magnetic Boots: Sometimes he's got to land on an enemy vehicle in mid flight. These make sure he doesn't end up falling off in the process.

Frag grenades: He also brings a trio of frag grenades along on his boarding missions if he ever really needs to blow a bunch of people right up.

Body armor: Perry's flight suit is somewhat armored and reenforced. Though it won't stop much more then some low speed shrapnel and small arms fire its better then nothing.

Helmet: Has a nice hefty helmet that hooks up to his jetpack to provide air at higher atmospheres and speeds. It's also thick enough to stop a bit more then what his body armor can.
