Azure Striker Gunvolt

We've only seen one unknown human and that was close to the end of the trailer. We could be going the Zero 3 route where the Mavericks looked human before going battle mode and looking all machine or we could just be dealing with all machines. Hard to tell.

But then that begs the question who's making robots that can fight adepts?

It's the faces that really makes it feel like we are fighting machines rather than humans. Looking at the previous roster of bosses whenever they equipped their armor you could still see their faces with these bosses you don't get that. It really stands out.

Regarding the boss adepts, in a Japanese screenshot Kirin calls one an "outdated primal dragon." So they're related to whatever GV was prevented from fully becoming.

Wonder when the Physical Copy Pre-Orders will start.

A full English dub for Gunvolt 3 got announced.

Current known cast:

All the Image Pulses of past characters will also have voice clips in both Japanese and English.

English physical also went up for pre-order, with collector's edition bonuses identical to the Japanese limited editon...but with the usual wait times.

Funnily enough I always had Sean Chiplock in mind for an english dub voice for Jason from Blaster Master Zero

I have a question or two regarding how you get the bad ending on Luminous Avenger iX 2: Are you supposed to be hitting Kohaku while the final boss is vulnerable, or are you supposed to hit her after you've depleted the final boss's health but before you touch Kohaku to trigger the final cutscene?

Here is the latest music video that helps to serve as promotion for the new game. Looks like Inti Creates has been posting other music videos and news videos for the game up on You Tube for the past three months. The music video has English subtitles if anyone is interested.

How are people liking Gunvolt 3?

I'm surprised there's not a bigger ruckus about Gunvolt being sidelined as the main playable character in his own damn game. Was his play style that hated that no one cares?

They put 3 back up on Pre-Order on LRG. For some reason.

I haven't gotten to play it yet, but apparently 3 completely drops all characters and plot threads from 2?

If I'm recalling correctly 3 does take place after a time skip of centuries?

In the opening (after she pummels Gunvolt back to humanity) Kirin says decades have passed.

That's all we get though. No other details.

It seems the time skip was done in order to separate the franchise from previous plot point...maybe.

Like, for all we know Xiao could have been part of Shadow Yakumo from the get go.

Unless they plan on some mid-quel stories that finish off some of the old plot points, we seem to be done with everything from before.

Even Copen's story has deliberately gone off in another direction via the iX series, and a bit of Alternate Universe crazyness.

I guess it's possible they could follow it up in another Gunvolt Chronicles game.

So umm, am I understanding right that Gunvolt 3 pulls soft reboots of sorts in pulling megaman zero type "character gets alone time skipped so all previous plot points and characters got dropped unceremoniously" sort of dealio?
