Yeah and thats why Medus has a shotgun and not a sniper rifle. Although unless Ruby actually calculates all of those shots in show I'm willing to bet sniper rifles work off the Rule of Cool in the RWBY-verse

), being able to calculate at supersonic speed isn't that much of a boon unless your target is already a lot slower than you are, which means you'd probably be better off engaging in melee anyway... I think I may have just justified why Ruby never actually uses Crescent Rose to snipe...
