• Name: Madelaine Rapley

• Appearance: Tall and with an athletic figure, with a complexion the color of the moon and silevry-white hair cascading down her shoulders. Grey eyes and elfish ears, Madelaine has the build of a typical fantasy elf and the prettiness of one.

• Abilities:
  • Torch: Madelaine can turn her hands into torches of moonlight that light the way and can can also blind an enemy.
  • Shape shifting: Madelaine can shift into the forms of the two woodland animals most associated with night and the moon, an owl and a wolf. Her transformations allow her to shift into either a bipedal version of both animals or their true animal forms. She also has the ability to talk to owls and wolves.
  • Energy-throwing: Madelaine can send fire balls of white energy that look suspiciously like a moon.
  • Tidal Flow: As the moon controls the tides, Madelaine can also control the flow and direction of water. The only requirement is that water is there.
  • Elfishness: Like your fantasy elf, Madelaine and moon elves in general are physically better than humans in every way. They're faster, more durable, stronger, more agile etc.
  • Increased mental defenses: As the moon is usually associated with insanity, Moon Elves, from worshiping the moon, have better mental defenses and can see through illusions or mind tricks and have a higher resistance to mind-reading, mind rape or psychological torture and effects.
  • Increased healing: When under the moon, Madelaine heals remarkably fast, something that is amplified the larger the moon is.

• Equipment/Weapons:
  • A custom-made, advanced rifle with several modes and gimmicks. It's three modes are sniper, semi-automatic and automatic and it's two settings are non-lethal and lethal. It's gimmicks include having no recoil, being more durable than most guns and somehow never running out of ammo.
  • For close-quarters combat, Madelaine owns two long knives that are made out of a mysterious, shining material that is like fire when under the moon's influence.

• Assets:
  • A bullet and largely magic proof SUV that she gets as a perk of being a captain.
  • A fairly large bank account, again from being a captain and that she inherited from her late parents.
  • A houses in London and Canada where she is mostly based, due to it not being to sunny there.

• Bio/Some History:
  • Madelaine was born to two rich merchants who sold custom-made magi-tech within a small elven town that was completely human-proof. Her parents brought her up lovingly and cared for her quite well, all things considered, bringing her up in a decent family-environment and making her pretty well-rounded.
  • Then when she was but a teenager in Elven terms (45 to be exact) disaster struck and her enclosed community was raided by Sun Elves, their hated enemy, and ransacked. Her father put up a fight and was killed while her mother and her were kidnapped and put to work as slaves. Madelaine was made fun of and worked doing the most horrifying jobs, just to break her fiery spirit. Needless to say it didn't work and when the camp she was working at was raided she contributed in killing the nastiest of her captors.
  • Full of anger and a burning desire for revenge, Madelaine joined the Moon Elven army and efficiently participated in the battles, showing no mercy or remorse. It also helped that she was suited to army work. This led her to rise through the ranks rather rapidly until she joined the Special Forces squad as the Magical Council was formed and the war ended. Her rise through the ranks is rumoured to have been due to her having an affair with the general and it is certainly true that they had feelings for each other but nobody can doubt that she is also an outstanding soldier.
  • When the plague came about, Madelaine was promoted to the vacant space of being the Captain of Special Forces. As such she is still able to take part in dangerous missions while also having a seniority about her. Nowadays, she serves to fight in the occasional skirmish against the Sun Elves in their Cold War with them and against general enemies of the Magical Council. She also serves as a bodyguard for the president when needed or there is a summons to the Magical Council.

• Misc:

The Moon Elves are, unlike their counterparts the Sun Elves, generally friendly to most races and are on good terms with them, displaying none of the haughtiness or pride of the Sun Elves. They have taken to urban places pretty well and the technology they use is a blend of the advanced technology, magi-tech and the good old-fashioned ways. They are friendly with humans but are on the fence on whether or not to let them join the council. On the one hand, why shouldn't they be and the Sun Elves dislike them, on the other, some of their allies dislike them.

The Sun Elves on the other hand are mostly the opposite off the Moon Elves. As aforementioned they are haughty and proud, and they think of themselves as aristocrats and dislike humans with a passion, thinking of them as nothing more than dogs. Their organization is of a monarchy and while their nation seems pleasant on the exterior, if you dig in deeper you'll find the corruption, crime, the poorer sectors, slaves and everything else that the Sun Elves try to cover up . They also despise technology prefferring traditional methods and magic or magi-tech.

• Appearance: Hybrid form but with two tails. In cat form she's a normal calico cat with two tails.
• Personality: Kali has two very different personalities. When pretending to be Marielle, she is the most proper, polite and kindest young lady you could imagine. Elegant, dignified and gentle to a fault. In this, Kali can imitate her past mistress perfectly. However, the moment the masquerade isn't needed, Kali falls to a completely different behavior. She's quite deadpan, no nonsense with an inborn sense of haughtiness coming from her nature as a cat. She's also terribly childish and expresses glee in the most minor of things when her pride doesn't come in the way... the prospects of food and respectful petting ranking quite highly on things she likes, as well as napping under the light of the sun. Sincere and brutally honest, she doesn't mince words, though she's really not a mean person. However, there is one aspect on which she is completely determined and ruthless... and that is taking vengeance for the murder of her Mistress. Those even tenuously linked to such a sin will receive not an ounce of mercy from Kali as she accomplishes the purpose for which she lives.
• Abilities:
  • Feline Abilities: Kali, even in human form, has a wide variety of skills derived from being a supernatural cat. She can jump up to four times her height, climb up building with support from her claws, move fast, have great balance, reflexes and agility. She can see a lot better than a human in the dark and her sense of smell and hearing is a lot more developed. She's also slightly stronger than her frame would suggest.
  • Transformation: Kali can freely transform from cat, hybrid and human form... though currently, she can only transform into the shape of her dead Mistress.
  • Fey Fire: Kali can manifest a pair of eerie blue flames that follow her around. While unable to burn anything with them, she can store up to the contents of a wardrobe within the flames. When transforming back to cat from human form she tends to cover herself entirely in the flames to get all clothes and other belonging stored within these flames instead of having them fall to the floor.
  • Shadow Claws: Kali's claws are infused with the fell supernatural power that transformed her into a nekomata. Currently, it can manifest as sharp, shadowy claws that can grow up to two feet long.
  • Fell Magic: Currently, Kali doesn't know any magic... but if she keeps slaying human and feeding on their energy and blood, her supernatural powers will continue to grow, giving her access to other abilities.
  • Memories of Marielle: Through drinking her blood, Kali obtained all the knowledge and most of Marielle's memories to peruse at her will... something highly useful in pretending to be her. Additionally, as a nekomata infused with magic from the far east nation she obtained rudimentary knowledge if Japanese and the ability to naturally interpret and read kanji.
• Equipment/Weapons:
  • Tsubamegiri: An enchanted Japanese blade with its sheath, Tsubamegiri is constantly sharp and stronger than a normal blade. Originally belonging to a kitsune clan of some renown, Kali now wields the blade that slew her Mistress and whose magic transformed her into a nekomata.
  • Omnicell and headphones: A top of the line omnicell with all the utilities such a device brings, calling, applications, net access, virtual reality access, music player, wallet, navigation and the like. It is connected wirelessly to the big headphones that once belonged Marielle, the which can bring out a visor for both eyes.
• Assets:
  • Wealth of the Crois: The Crois family is quite an influential and affluent family and one of the most important members of the human coalition to gain equal rights. Thus, Kali who is passing off as their heir has a veritable fortune to back her which only depends on approval by her parents. Directly usable by her is the wallet on her cellphone which has quite a nice sum on it.
  • Room and board: Kali has to place that Marielle could consider her own to live. Her room in the Crois mansion and a small but individual dorm room in the college to the which she was accepted, the University College of London.
  • Transportation: While Marielle liked to walk and use public transportation system, she also had access to a family chauffeur that drove her when necessary. Kali needs only call his number to have access to transportation.
• Bio/Some History: Born a completely normal calico kitten, Kali was adopted as soon as she could survive without her mom by the Crois family as a pet for their younger daughter, Marielle. As her pet, Marielle lived an idyllic life, full of love comfort and companionship... and as much as a regular animal is able to, she loved and was completely loyal to her mistress. Marielle was a remarkable, young lady... intelligent, sociable and gentle to a fault she had a bright future as scion of the Crois family. Her older sister joined the army, while her two mothers were successful politicians coming from old wealthy families. Thus, Marielle was figuring out what to do with her future after being accepted to college. However, her future could not be secured... as on her way home for class, her habit of trusting the world and walking home was used against her. While carrying Kali in her arms, Marielle was dragged into an alleyway... and then brutally murdered before her cat's very eyes. The assailant was a strange, otherworldly Caucasian lady with long, pure white hair and deep blue eyes. For some reason, she used a Japanese blade to cut the young human lady down, pinning her to the floor with it to let her bleed to death... leaving the murder weapon and a few hairs from a bag on the scene before disappearing into thin air. Kali's grief and pain were great and her cries filled the whole alley as she saw the pain, cries and fear fade away from Marielle's eyes as she died. However, something strange happened at that moment... as the magic infused with the blade somehow resonated with the pet's grief. And as Kali licked at her Mistress trying to wake her up and got a taste of her blood, knowledge and power filled her... knowledge that compelled her to keep going, drinking Marielle's blood. As she did so, Kali's tail parted into two... and Marielle's body erupted into blue flames which transformed the cat into the image of her Mistress. Knowledge flooded her... but immersed in her grief, Kali didn't pay it any mind as she cried for hours in that dark alley. Eventually she emerged from it... a whole new being. She knew what she was... a demonic cat, brought to life by magic from distant lands. In her new powers she saw opportunity... to make her Mistress legacy reality by living in her stead... and with her dark powers obtain revenge on the white haired woman that robbed Kali of the person she loved the most.

Ah, sorry, kk, seems I somehow lost this thread off my watchlist this morning. The Church might support the rebellion, but Cirnaea will not.
