Assuming it can be mass produced in the first place. And going off the description it just stops them from phasing through you. Which would stop handshanking (Eobard), but seems useless against high-speed neck snaps (Zoom) or just stabbing (Savitar).
But... you're not an alternate version of him, Wells. You're an alternate version of the guy whose identity he stole.
It's kinda strange how people still refer to him as Wells on occasion. Same with people calling Zoom 'Jay' even after his real identity was revealed.

Wake me up at your own risk.I think in some deleted scene it's also explained that the process by which Thawne stole Wells' face also gave him some of Wells' personality, so he might actually think of himself as Thawne and Wells. But again, I think that was only in a deleted scene.
That is unfortunate, but it could be worse. I hope he at least managed to film the next episode, because I think Joe's point of view on the argument Nora is having with her parents would be nice to see.
...Oh wow. I never even noticed he's been sitting in every episode he's been in.
But yeah, Joe's gotta weigh in on this whole thing, so I'm assuming we'll hear something from him. I'm guessing that the current episodes will still have him, and then when the mid season break ends, he'll be out of sight for a while.
One Strip! One Strip!Come to think of it, he only had one standing scene and it featured him leaning heavily against a doorframe.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. It must have been painful to do that, too — back injuries are no joke. I'm glad he's taking a leave of absence, but his presence will be missed.
I wonder if anyone will bring up how what future Iris did continues the long tradition of West family secret keeping. Remember when Joe kept Iris from knowing that Barry was the Flash? Or when he told her that her mother was dead, and let her go on thinking that for twenty years until her mom was literally on her deathbed?
While Future-Iris suppressing Nora’s powers to protect her from xenophobic future-ARGUS does make a lot of sense, I fully expect Nora’s and Zari’s versions of the 2040’s to have absolutely nothing to do with each other. That, to me, feels like the kind of thing these shows would do and the alternative feels like much more planning, continuity, and cross-show communication than we usually get
My problems with that are:
- I'm almost certain it can be mass-produced at least to the members of Team Flash because Wells, Caitlyn, and Cisco are able to produce every other manner of end of episode, 11th hour, life-saving medical treatment or power nullification device. Wells can cross dimensions on his own, but he can't reproduce nanomachines? Even Oliver was able to get Speed Force-dampening nanomachines from Palmer.
- Going off the description and what happened in that clip, and Wells' stated intention of never being hurt by a speedster again, I don't imagine it just stops speedstersfrom handshanking people. If Thawne could have hurt him then I'd imagine he'd have resorted to high-speed punching Wells, or pulled a Bullseye and thrown test tubes at him at mach 3.
- I don't think the concept of a high-speed neck snap exists in the Nazi-verse.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Well, all those comments from Iris about Oliver's looks paid off.
Wake me up at your own risk.I love how legitimately freaked out Ollie looks.
I assuming Barry is also aware of how different things are... and currently in jail 0_0.
Also, in regards to today's ep... How exactly did you swallow him Ralph?
One Strip! One Strip!I don't think he swallowed him. I think he just wrapped himself around him like a giant egg.
Also: I kind of love this episode. Ragdoll was super creepy and I love all of Cisco and Caitlin's interactions. I have a feeling next episode, when we finally meet her father, we're going to see the return of Killer Frost.
Also, a bonus scene that was, for some reason, not included in the episode.
And it hints at the return of the Rogues, which is nice.
huh. Marden would pretty be the leader of the Rogues by default with Snart gone.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, it's about goddamn time.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I might start to like Nora again. Also, Rag Doll was like some seriously creepy serial killer ala Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees! Terrifying.

Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. The Mark Hamill one.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I wonder if there's a grandson of the Mark Hamill Trickster causing trouble in Nora's time.
Just saw this. You can understand why it's a deleted scene because why wouldn't Wells have this anti-Speedster cologne on all of the time and mass-produce it for Team Flash?
