I originally was planning to completely step out of this RP, but luckily I already have another idea in mind:

Name: Dr. Ivo Eggman Robotnik
Gender: Male
Age: 47
Alignment: Anti-Villain
Appearance: Got◊ the◊ Master Plan◊
Personality: At first glance, many people would assume Eggman would be nothing but a completely hammy doofus. It would be quite easy to think that, with the man's penchant for being incredibly goofy, heavily egotistical, and immensely over the top. However, those people just as often forget that he is capable of building armies of complex machines as has a machine that can turn flesh and blood into metal and circuits. Eggman just be just as ruthless and murderously sadistic as he can be jovial childish. He also tends to be quite easily angered when he's directly insulted to his face. The mad scientist, however, has a very strong moral fiber and code of honor, believing that the world would be a better place if he was in charge of the planet, a staunch believer in the philosophy bringing about positive change even if he has to shove it down peoples' throats until they either swallow or choke to death. With the list of things he wishes to actually implement upon world domination and the amount of rampant corruption and incompetence in various world governments, he might actually be right about those beliefs. While he tends to proclaim his hatred towards a multitude of people, its really just extreme annoyance coupled with childish tantrums. Very few people he actually legitimately despises, and the ones who wind up either dead or vanished from the face of the Earth are the lucky ones......

Powers: Capable of feats of super strength and super speed, though the former only manifests when he is truly angry and the latter during life or death situations which involves running. The extent of his physical capabilities are enhanced physical durability, very low grade superhuman strength and, surprisingly, superhuman agility. Otherwise, he's a normal human.

Abilities: Eggman boasts an IQ that is well into the 300s and throws this intellectual weight around by being a genius in all things mechanical and technological. He is a brilliant roboticist, having designed his first robot blueprints when he was in kindergarten, and an expert computer hacker and programmer. He also dabbles a bit into the fields of biology, chemistry, literature, and even archaeology.

Weapons/Equipment: Being a mad scientist bent on world conquest, it would be obvious Robotnik would have more than a few tools at his disposal. Here are the most used:

• Egg Mobile◊: Eggman's personal hovercraft. While the machine itself lacks any sort of on board weaponry except for an electric trazer array to prevent direct attackers climbing into it, its greatest strength is its customizability. Simply put, the Egg Mobile can be easily outfitted with any sort of external weaponry, tools, and/or larger vehicle and/or mech he would want for a given situation and just as easily detach from these tools if they gets damaged and for a quick getaway. The most often used attachments are a pair of large legs, on board machine gun and laser cannon◊ for when Eggman needs to assault someplace with a more personal touch.
• Army of Robots: Eggman's bread and butter, his main military might. Broken down into four major categories:
  • Badniks◊: The main cannon fodder of his army, these robots come in many different designs with varying functions and levels of usefulness. While each badnik design is unique, different "families" of designs can easily be gleaned when one looks at the entire selection. These robots are often either powered by mysterious energy emitting Golden Rings or by actually little animals forcefully used as living batteries*
    most common as pigs, chickens, squirrels, rats, rabbits, and a species of bird called Flickes
    .
  • SWATbots◊: Fully functioning androids meant to be Eggman's main military muscle, every one programmed with basic military combat knowledge and tactics and each outfitted with military grade laser and ballistic weaponry. While certainly a tier far higher than badniks, they lack the ability to fully implement and improve upon the programming given to by Eggman and incapable of more advanced tactics. Ultimately the SWA Tbots can either be easily overpowered by those with superpowers and outsmarted by highly trained human soldiers, but they are a force to be reckoned with against those who are not prepared for them.
  • The Super Search and Smash Squad (SSSS): A gaggle of various robot minions Robotnik initially created to be generals for his army. While all of them are extremely capable in combat situations with human like A.I.s capable of independent thought and extreme loyalty to the Doctor, the programming used for said A.I.s are no where near as advanced as what as developed by Light, Wily, and Cossack. As a result, these robots ultimately came out as rather.......stupid. Thus, Eggman instead made these robots to be menial tasks, such as scouting or intimidating targets. Aside from the group's leaders, Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts, Eggman has no real plans one rebuilding any of these nitwits if they are ever too damaged to be still functional, and even then those three would be good target practice for future robots......
  • Others: Robotnik has built a whole host of other different robots for many different purposes, most of them being lab assistants or manual labor workers. However, Eggman has been working on a series of combat robots which will the middle ground between the badniks and SWA Tbots he always wanted, as well as finally replacing the near useless SSS Squad.......
• Roboticizer: The most dreaded of all of Eggman's invention, it is a machine capable to turning organic beings into mindless robots programmed to do his bidding. Only Eggman himself knows the full details of how exactly the thing works, but by judging how he only uses it on people he really hates and how the victims turn out to have the basic intelligence of Roombas and look like animatronic skeletons, its probably best not to know.....
• Personal Weapons: Though Eggman abhors getting into direct fights without wielding or riding within some kind of giant death machine, he carries around a semi-automatic pistol on him just in case and mostly for self-defense.

Possessions: Thanks to a combination of his hacking skills and knowledge in economics and markets, Eggman has amassed massive amount of wealth, adding it along with his own family's fortune. He uses a variety of viruses and cypher programs to steal small amounts of money from various large corporations across the planet that go into an equally large variety of foreign bank accounts in various tax havens such the Cayman Islands, Panama, Monaco, Ireland, the Bahamas, Samoa, Luxemborg, and one in Switzerland just to throw off officials who automatically assume the cliche. He also makes money by selling off a few of his more mundane inventions to other companies and gaining royalties for them, though Eggman keep many of his more useful invention for himself, such a teleportation technology as well as investments into many lucrative companies and industries, bolstered by a few dummy corporations of his own creation.

Eggman possess many various bases and auxilliary labs across the world, he has a major base of operation on an island called South Island, which is converted into one giant death trap from invaders. He is also constructing a second base of operations, but he's saving that for a special occasion......

Origin: The Robotniks is one of the most well respected families in the world, their lineage dating back all the way to the 18th century and consisting of long lines of scientists, scholars, and philantropists, each one a grand academic genius in their chosen field*

. Young Ivo showed promise of carrying on that grand legacy, specifically in machinery as he made his first blueprints while in kindergarten. As he grew, he tirelessly gained knowledge in all fields of academics, including mythology, history, biology, and archaeology, while honing his own skills in robotics and electronics.

However, as he broaden his own intellectual horizons, he saw humanity at both its best and at its worst. He was sickened by society's worship of idle celebrities instead of praising individuals who deserved admiration; he stared in slacked-jawed awe at the sheer corruption and incompetence that runs through almost all governments in the world; he looked in horror was he read about atrocities men have done upon themselves in both the past and the present.

Worst of all, he was angered at the sheer number of people who have the ability to change things for the better but refused to do so, either out of cowardice; out of greed; out of weakness of spirit and heart; or, worst of all, out of sheer laziness. At some point, Ivo had a realization........if there those who refuse to stand up to make the world a better place despite having the power to, should they even deserve a chance to rule this better world? If humanity can be truly happy by merely getting rid of those who prevent it, why not actually do so instead of merely talking about? In fact.....he already has ideas on how to make the world a better place......why not do it himself???

With these questions in mind, Eggman worked tirelessly, slowly building up both a reputation as a rising star in the field of robotics while secretly plotting and building up his plans for world conquest, seeing himself as the one man who can finally bring peace to both the planet and the human race. Along with his nephew Snively◊, his robotic lab assistants Orbot◊ and Cubot◊, and large portion of his entire army, he travels to Beacon City with the hope of conquering the city and being the first benchmark for eventually ruling all of Earth!

He also comes to Beacon City in search of powerful artifacts called the Chaos Emeralds. Eggman already possesses four of them, and the remaining three all conveniently in the city itself. Even if he fails to conquer the city, if Robotnik gets his hands on the entire set of Seven Chaos Emeralds, his plans of world domination would be set.......

I still think that Sonic might work somehow, in a way that could be taken seriously, even if it's as a human or hedgehog that got transfigured into a blue super powered form.

Mainly I want to know if the White Council would fit in your verse. Also do you know anything of the [1] so how much detail do you need?

I don't know a thing about the Dresden universe, but if you tell me what the White Council is, I'll be able to tell you if they fit in the universe or don't.

• Name: Miss All Sunday
• Real Name: Nico Robin
• Gender: Female
• Age: 28
• Alignment: Anti-Hero (borderline Villain)
• Appearance: Purdy ain't she?◊
• Personality: Almost eerily so, Robin rarely shows any emotion other than calmness. She is usually calm, cool, and collected and it would take the most dire of situations to get her to lose her cool. She has a child-like fascination towards world history and the macabre, and as such, she is extremely intelligent. She is merciless in combat, but she isn't without her own moral code, and acts almost motherly at times towards others, especially children.
• Powers: Having consumed the Flower-Flower Fruit at a young age, she has the capability to replicate her limbs on any surface including the user's own body. She can use the smaller limbs to attack or meld them together to create larger limbs to attack her opponents. This can make her take on multiple enemies at once. She can also gather information by forming ears and/or eyes. However, the limbs can be attacked, causing pain to Robin and she cannot create limbs if there's not enough room. She also needs to see the surface in order to grow limbs out of it.
• Abilities: Robin is a good problem solver and her wide range of knowledge helps her with planning out things. She's light on her feet and is very agile and fast.
• Posessions: Robin lives in an apartment complex at the heart of the city, and in it she has a large book collection, a bed, and a medium sized TV. She also owns a white mink coat.
• Origin: Nico Robin was born on the island of Ohara to a family of archaeologists, and a famed archaeologist named Nico Olvia. Olvia set out to travel the world in search of the true history of the world, leaving Robin to the care of her brother and his wife, Roji (whom was very abusive towards her as a child). At the age of 8, she aced an archaeology exam and was inducted as a scholar in Ohara. It was then that she stated her intent to study the true history of the world. However, the island of Ohara was targeted and destroyed by a terrorist organization (on orders from various governments) to keep them from exposing a secret government experiment to the world. After her home island was destroyed, she spent the next 20 years joining numerous criminal organizations around the world (and amassing a big bounty on her head because of it) before she caught the eye of a rogue government official named Crocodile. He recruited her to join his organization, Baroque Works (a terrorist organization that carried out assassinations of politicians, criminal overlords and practically everyone that stood in the way of their goal of forming their own World Government) as they needed her help in order to find out what that secret expiriment was about
• She quickly rose up the ranks of Baroque Works and became his second-in-command as her new codename, Miss All Sunday. At this time, she is sent to Beacon City by Crocodile to gather more information on this experiment. Crocodile also called for her to kill off anyone that stands in her way, whomever it may be...

@Ud: A few things. One, the Wing Fortress, I doubt that Eggman would have such a ship and not raise any eyebrows from any governments of the world. It would have been most likely shot down by a joint effort between various world leaders. Two... jesus fucking christ! The hell was up with that backstory?! I mean, you write the entire sheet in this semi-comedic tone, and then you give me this backstory with physical abuse on children, gory murder and more? I'm sorry, but... I can't accept that. It's just a really fucked up mood shift that doesn't further the character. In fact, it just makes him look unnecessarily grimdark!

• Name: Tomoe Mami
• Appearance:
  • a normal girl◊ and..the senpai

• Universe: Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
• Powers:
  • Soul Gem: what she believes to be the badge that distinguishes a magical girl from other people. Actually it's more like a soul jar wherein the magical girl's soul is stored. Therefore it is theoretically possible for a magical girl to have her entire body destroyed and yet still be alive. Also a magical meter that gathers impurities every time magic is used- collecting too much impurities not only causes the girl's magic to run out but also plunge the girl into depression and...
  • Magic: Mami has a ribbon on her collar that is 'alive'. Mami's magic is centered around the use of this ribbon. Her guns are constructs made out of ribbons. Her outfit is a construct made out of ribbons. The ribbon's use is hugely varied- from being used as chains to turning into trip wires.
  • Mami's main fighting style however involves guns (gunkata?). She is able to summon a huge number of guns in a single go- these usually are muskets that have only one shot, however she can pull out cannons if she wants to and a huge pistol for her Trio Finale. All these guns only have one shot. Lately, she's been seen wielding pistols and even a sawn-off shotgun. She uses these guns primarily for shooting but she will use them as a bludgeon if it suits the situation. just a little taste of how she fights.
  • Healing: Mami has limited healing powers, they are nowhere near as good as Sayaka's and only work for light wounds and scratches- deep wounds would take quite long and use quite a bit more magic as to be rather inefficient.
  • Superhuman attributes: Like all other magical girls, Mami literally has a body running on magic. Therefore she is more durable than your ordinary person. She has greater agility, strength and speed a girl of her age would have.

• Personality: Mami likes to appear as a serious minded, cheerful senior to those around her. She's smart and certainly does a good job at playing this part. However deep down she is just a lonely person with zero social life- witch hunting takes up all her free time. She clings to her ideals stubbornly, believing that a magical girl can live an unselfish life. She is also rather emotionally weak but that is something she'll hide at all costs.

• Backstory: In this universe, Mami's backstory does not change- she was a secondary school girl born of rich parents and had lived a smooth and happy life till the age of 15. Then one day when her family was driving back from something or other they are caught up in a horrible traffic accident where both Mami's parent's lose their lives. On the brink of death, Mami doesn't have a choice when a mysterious creature- Kyubey- appears and asks her what wish she would like him to grant. She saves herself but not her family. In 'payment', the Kyubey makes her a magical girl- a girl whose fate is that of combat against eldritch monstrosities called Witches. Mami accepts this fate. Now for the past year, she has been hunting and killing witches at night, making sure to keep her identity as a magical girl secret to those around her.

@Strat: I can definitely nix the Wing Fortress idea for now, probably have South Island located a bit closer to Beacon City and save Wing Fortress as a future plot idea. For the backstory, it was actually an idea I had for a Sonic fanfic that combined elements from all facets of the franchise that explains Eggman's motives and give him depth. What I wanted to convey was the lengths at which he would go for the sake of humanity's benefit with that childhood experience being the first instance of that resolve. I wanted to show that, despite being eccentric and goofy, Eggman is still an extremely dangerous individual not to be trifled with.

I can probably delete it off the origin and instead save it for ingame as more of Eggman's life is revealed. How's that sound?

How about delete it altogether? You don't understand what I mean. What you just did wasn't give Eggman any depth. Instead, it was more like you copied the backstory of a character from some needlessly dark story. Dark, gritty and grimderp doesn't equal depth, and in this case, it detracted from the character, making it seem like the two halves of the sheet were written by two completely different people. That backstory does not fit with Eggman, especially the one you were building up with the first half of the sheet. Either you write a completely new backstory, or go with a different character.

@bio: The sheet's fine, but, hm... see, my problem is with the whole Kyubey thing. We have a whole lot of magical characters, and it's weird how no one knows a thing about Kyubey or the Witches. Or does. So far, all the magical stuff has mended well (to some degree), but something as big as Kyubey/Witches going unnoticed seems weird. You know what I mean?

@Ud: Oh, look at that, an origin story that matches the tone of the rest of the sheet. Anyway, before I accept, you gotta nix the Wing Fortress, and you gotta understood that Eggman can't just march into Beacon City. He's gonna have to operate under a certain level of secrecy, because a robot army would warrant unwanted attention from the governments of the world. Got it?

Well....the Kyubey is a devious bastard and in the anime- the only people that can see him are the people he wants to make a contract with or is a magical girl- refer to the first two episodes where Kyubey calmly hitches a ride to school with Madoka.

And don't forget the Kyubey uses teleportation and apparently everything about him is Time Lord Technology- meaning tech beyond human comprehension so what he is using is not exactly magic.

The witches thing...I explained my point of view in the discussion thread so if you need clarification I won't mind explaining further. I also want Magical girls to be a new thing for this city- not witches, those are always around- just magical girls.

I don't remember much from the anime, but do normal people see the Witches? Or only those inclined to magic/heroic stuff?

Only Puellae and Coobies see Witches.
