Man, if Morty wasn't already scarred for life up to now, he sure as hell was in this latest episode.
What with having to bury your dead alternate self and all...

When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefI love the way this show has of making the viewer assume things. Just about everyone assumed from Rick's line in the pilot about how Beth's mother would have liked the eggs, that she was dead. But now in last night's episode we find that Rick left her. Did they actually ever say she's dead, or is she alive, but divorced?
I was expecting the whole thing to turn out to be a dream or for Jerry to actually be in a simulation created by Rick for an experiment or something. Things cannot turn out that well for him.
Rick better whip up some amnesiac for Morty just to help him forget.
Then have Rick tell Morty I just gave you amnesia at your request after we doomed our original universe and that our alternate universe selves are dead.
Well at least Morty can only imagine how horrible things could be rather than recall how horrible things were.
I found the "Rick Potion #9" episode to be the funniest episode so far, and I messed up?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- Am I
Oh, forget it. I suck at "foruming", I'm just going to go back to editing the page.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI really liked Summer in this episode. Even if she wasn't in it much. I mean, she's clearly notices that her parent's marriage is on the rocks and she's not above calling out Rick on being a dick.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"It's weird that they've had two episodes in a row addressing Beth and Jerry's marriage, both of which ended on a positive note for said marriage. Seems more like a typical sitcom marriage, weak and mismatched on the surface, strong enough underneath. She did not want to cheat on Jerry, though did try to kiss Mr. Meeseeks.
It's odd that the traumatic experience with King Jelly Bean was played off as more Drama than comedy, but Morty seeing himself dead was played more as comedy than Drama
Sure about that? I think it had a mix of both, but I'm really leaning on drama.
After I watched the Meeseeks episode I thought Rick and Morty's speciality was deconstruction and comedy... Now to add in brilliance and wits. I cannot, see that ending, and the after credits scene was what you can call depth. It actually makes use of alternate universes. Once again, Rick and Morty gives us an episode that is more mindblowing than the other one.
Just wowed by it. Poor Morty... Well trauma helps a man grow
It just makes you wonder what kind of life Rick's led thus far that he can be so nonchalant about it.
What do you think bothered Morty more? Leaving his reality, dooming humanity except for those who are related to him or seeing and alternate version of himself dead?
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Well, he discovered long ago that there are potentially infinite versions of himself out there, and with all the chaos I guess it just doesn't bother him that much anymore since technically anything he does doesn't really matter.
A love that crushes like a mace.Just saw episode two again, I think the reason the dog is named Snowball is a reference to Animal Farm.
Dan Harmon's complete flu awareness rap.
This is the best cartoon.
http://creepdeer.tumblr.com/post/74932136447/i-have-this-idea-that-morty-will-eventually The commentary on this fanart makes me want to cry. Just something that explains what might happen to Morty in the future(also explaining Rick).
Rick And Morty is a Stable Time Loop universe, in which Morty grows up to be an alcoholic and loses part of his hair from stress, and when Rick finally dies (long after he should have, thanks to Science!) Morty takes his knowledge to go back in time and prevent his mother from ever being born, but then falls in love with Beth's mother, assuming the identity of Rick Sanchez
I'm sure the writers are well aware of that possibility and will Joss it. Joss it hard!
What if Morty gets blue hair in the future and eventually becomes Rick?
That's basically what he was saying.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIt would explain Rick's nonchalant attitude towards fate, if he knows how everything is going to end up, he's basically just going through the motions of super-science, knowing that he's only traumatizing himself.
Damn. Only 5-6 episodes in and this is already going into fanfic theory territory.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWhere did they get the term "cronenberg"?
Now that you bring it up, yeah.
