Pretty sure they meant something other then that, but yeah, dropping the dubject
New theme music also a boxI do so love how Rick actually tries to defend himself here. Getting wrapped up in this particular issue actually makes him backpedal from his characteristic douchery.
The same man who would end up in a fist-fight with the President of the United f-cking states episodes later.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It does sort of beg the question of why he thought he'd go on an anti-Semitic rant while drunk.
Remember: being drunk doesn't make you into a different person, contrary to what Rick is trying to claim.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThe Rick and Morty comics are... fun.
There's a Jerry from a universe where he was successful. He successfully replaces the Jerry we know, wins Beth over, and pummels Rick of all people in a fist fight. And Rick makes several failed attempts at taking him out. This version of Jerry is just a Born Winner and scarily competent.
I was hoping we'd see an episode like this in Season 4 but, this is good enough.
EDIT: I'm on the second part and holy crap this adventure is awesome. "No one should have to exist in a world where a Jerry beats a Rick." Rick gets so desperate to take this Jerry out he breaks out the Neutrino Bomb again! Like yeah it's one of those "low-hanging fruit" kind of plots but it's hard to put the book down.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!That does sound great. And yeah, it's such an obvious idea for a Rick & Morty plot that you have to wonder why they didn't do it on the show already...
So... any news about potential season 4?
Interesting video looking at why Rick and Morty is so smart and why its fans don't have a high enough IQ to watch it
All in all it's all stuff we talked about before, but an interesting analysis nonetheless.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI can acknowledge that this is show is a cut above most cartoons I've watched - that it's cleverly-written, that I enjoy it, and that I can enjoy it without blasting its memes everywhere. My favorite scene is this show is during the Parasite episode where Rick says to Jerry, "at least we're real Jerry, we're real - I think that defines this show's cast and gives off a strong message about what we expect from family.
At the same time, I have no interest in pointing out how smart it is, or how smart I am for "getting it," or that I'm even "getting it" at all because I picked up a few atypical elements in the show's design, and watched a few videos on how much there is to "get" in Rick and Morty as well; nor do I think its a show that doesn't deserve all the memes it GETS because damn it if Rick's "riggity-riggity WRECKED SON" line wasn't designed to be a forum weapon.
Not fond of the "appreciate the high-mindedness of this thing you're watching/feel better for not being part of the lower fanbase" school of videomaking. I know its analysis, the thing we do here, and it's not purely made to be condescending, but there's a reason I only click on so many of the "The Philosophy of Rick and Morty" and "How RICK & MORTY Tells A Story" videos that crowd my suggested videos list. Even if they're not talking to me directly I feel like just by association I'm being told I don't get this show somehow because I'm not taking that same intellectual standpoint on it.
-belch-
And that's just f-cking ridiculous.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Since no-one knew/bothered to answer you I searched it myself and it's not coming anytime soon.
Apparently the earliest it will occur will be mid to late 2019, if not 2020.
Somewhat unfortunate but I'd rather they take their time then rush it out and mess things up, especially considering that Adult Swim has renewed it for 70 episodes.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -Hylarnx3 Moviebob? No thanks. He’s not a very reliable critic.
Rather it be done right than done quickly.

Thinking about it, it's interesting how Rick is clearly supposed to be the smartest man in the universe, yet no one really seems to care.
Like, when people see his inventions, or aliens, or get teleported, they're like "cool" not awed. And yet, it really doesn't seem like the world is ahead of our time, and those things would be common place.
And also the fact that Rick does all of this, and yet acts like he needs to live in the family garage. Part of that is obviously him caring more than he'd rather let on, but it does mostly seem... genuine, that he needs to live there, for convenience if nothing else, which is weird.

Rick needs to be in a Death Battle someday.
Rick is in some ways the smartest and the dumbest man alive.
I mean, you have to be a real fucking idiot to think turning yourself into a pickle to avoid therapy is a good idea. And it did almost get him killed in a really stupid and pointless way.

Disgusted, but not surprisedThe writers admitted that that ep came about being someone just blurted out a random thing like "Rick is a pickle", and then because they're so good at their job, they turned it into one of the best episodes in the show.
Rick is a daredevil, plain & simple.
There are tons of better ways to avoid therapy but he chose a pickle because "Why not?"
Only the truly stupid & daring would do it.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The therapist even points that out. He's a thrill junkie. He doesn't want to engage in the Boring, but Practical shit that is most of life. Which means doing something really stupid and dangerous like turning himself into a damn pickle rather than spend some time in a family therapy session.
The episode works in part because it points out that Rick is, in some ways, a real fucking moron.
Heck, a big part of the season as a whole was about taking the piss out of Rick.

Disgusted, but not surprisedAnd then it ends with Rick on the bottom rung of the family's ladder. How long will he stay there? Who knows, but it's still satisfying to know he's there, even for a bit.
What is problem...?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie....I never said there was a problem.
Disgusted, but not surprisedYou're calling Rick stupid for no real reason.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.He turned himself into a near immobile pickle & did not have the foresight to to think that Beth or anyone else could have easily grabbed the antidote & thus leave him stuck as a pickle for an unknown period of time.
He was then almost killed by a cat simply moving him.
If that's not stupid I don't know what is.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think sometimes Rick does shit just because he can. Just to prove he can. When he was de-toxed, his toxin side went on a long rant about what he could do and why he could do it to Morty. One of the qualities Rick thinks is negative about himself is that he wants someone to know what he can do, and it's usually Morty.
"Morty! I turned myself into a pickle!" "Uh, okay, why?" "Fuck if I know, Morty! I just wanted to!"
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Did you read their post? Because the reason was rather obvious.
He turned himself into a pickle to avoid therapy, and as a consequence of that wonderful decision faced multiple life or death situations without most of his normal hyperscience tools.
I would call that stupid, he didn't even have a good reason like doing it for Science!
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnYou know what's funny, though? Rick turning into a pickle led to him fighting and befriending Jaguar, who saved them from being killed by Concerto later on.
As stupid as Rick's stunt was, it ultimately saved their lives.
I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.
Are you serious? What do you think the arguments on gay marriage were? Or the ongoing argument on LGBT and reproductive rights?
Of course there's a culture war.
It's the nature of having different worldviews coexisting in one society.
But this is diverging from Rick and Morty so we should probably drop this discussion, if you really want to continue it the General Politics thread would probably be a better location.
