Random topic: You know a trope I have mixed feelings about? Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy. On one hand, it is a valid response to many works out there, especially if you can't bring yourself to care about any of the characters. On the other hand, a fair amount of examples in the trope page just come off as whining and missing the point of certain series.

Woah dude, calm down. It might seem petty to you, but it's likely a bigger deal then you think it is. If you want to talk about it, we're here for you.

Significantly subjective posts like that, especially negative ones, are always kind of a mixed bag. I personally find it interesting on a sort of academic level, to see what different people find to be the breaking point and find consistency in, but reading the pages for Nightmare Fuel and Crowning Moments have shown me pretty handily that nobody has the same limits for any given thing, and that people are going to react to the presence of different factors in very different ways. So while many of the reasons cited on pages like those might seem whiny or petty, it's good to keep in mind that everybody has different experiences and limits that make them see things differently.

@Wryte: I don't see why an Original Character stops being an Original Character just because they aren't the protagonist. They're still an OC, just not a particularly important one.

That is also true. Many people tend to have different experiences and opinions.

Sorry for messing up the thread with my presence again, but I feel like I should probably explain what has been going on. The TLDR is I have been on the receiving end of really bad sportsmanship for a while when it comes to the CCG and today it escalated again. It is now to the point I am dismantling my best and only good deck (aka, the one that has been causing all this mess) and contemplating giving the game up. It doesn't help that I already have non-existent confidence on top of all this happening.

Heck, I have even been told that my deck is not fun to play against. I am literally spoiling other peoples fun by playing using my deck.

To save from a wall of text, the full thing is on page 2735 of Insecurity, Sadness, Anxiety, and such matters II in the Yack Fest section of the forum.

And now I shall leave again. Sorry for wasting all your time. I know I haven't done anything of worth on this thread other than start flame wars and moan, so the thread will be better off without me in it.

Sorry to hear you might be quitting the game. I haven't been able to play myself because Wednesday classes prevent me from going to the Wednesday meetups for my local group.

Finished Tales From the Borderlands yesterday. Fantastic game. Rivals Life Is Strange, honestly. If only because Tales had a much better finale then Li S. Still miffed at how Li S ends. Love the game, but disappointed with the ending.

Surprisingly, Tales had a lot of points where I was going "Nonononononono! Don't kill them! No!" and "Oh no...". That game really hits you hard, especially if you've already played some of the previous games.

And before you ask Marcen, no, I don't know how the sauce tastes.

All right, starting up the next episode, The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows. I can't think of anything funny to say about the title other than point out it reads like an incomplete thought, so on we go.

Wait, is the baby top-secret, or is the thing that Mrs. Cake is making for the event top-secret? Either way, I don't see the problem, we've already seen that Pinkie takes secrets veeeeeery seriously.

The One Where Pinkie Knows is a reference to how Friend's episodes were titled(IE:The one where...)

But the mlp episode is better because there's no Ross Gellar. (drops microphone)

This episode was great. I was laughing pretty much the whole way through. They've really been on a roll these past few episodes.
