Kayeka: Ah. Then again, it probably wouldn't be the first to have that kind of side quest going on. I'm looking at you, Final Fantasy X. Also, that was kind of my experience with the original Disgaea. The main story levels up enemies at a reasonable pace, but then all the side story stuff, some of which is a ton of filler maps with a single story resolution after the final map, kept jumping enemies by tens or even hundreds of levels. The grind was real. I eventually gave up before killing Prinny Baal, because I just couldn't be bothered to grind up even a small team to take him on. I later went to the full extreme and took him down at the absolute apex of his power, but even then, the grind there was significantly less effort, since a single sufficiently powerful Magic Knight could take him in a duel. After finishing that, though, I decided I never, ever, wanted to see another Disgaea again. This was years ago and I still can't even bring myself to look at even the back of the casing when I see a new Disgaea in the stores these days.

boop I'm more active on hereBut the story and characters are great. Well, in the first at least.
"No will to break."Dark: Well, yeah, and I did enjoy that part (I still have a soft spot for Flonne), but we're discussing side quests that get out-of-control and inflate the game time to ridiculous proportions. I did enjoy the story of the second game too, but the memories of the grind will haunt me forever (seriously, I'm pretty sure that single Magic Knight took 200 hours on her own to get both her and Prinny Baal up to the required power levels; for those who don't know, getting Prinny Baal to the apex of his power requires some really obscure Item World shenanigans).

What game are we talking about?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Dammit, I forgot that the old owner keeps the license plate when you buy a vehicle. Now I gotta find a way to tow it today.
I don't mind the second at least the cutscenes I'm seeing so far, but Adell's a bit generic if a pretty likable guy, I can see the twist with Rozalin a mile away, and none of the other characters aside from that ninja girl are very likable. And Axel's kind of a prick.
"No will to break."Rent a trailer?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Librarian: The Disgaea series, although that was led into by Xenoblade Chronicles discussion.
Dark: There's some pretty good moments later down the line, but I do agree that the first game did its story (and some of the characters) better.
CDRW: Is there a reason you couldn't just hit an insurance place to get it plated now, come back and then drive it away?
FE: New Mystery Fresh Cart Lunatic 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiWell, we started with Xenoblade, but now I guess we're talking about Disgaea. Which I can't really comment on, since I've never played it, though in general I don't mind sidequests that require a bit of time investment to complete, so long as they're just that. But if the main quests are built the same way (or even worse, if they're built so that you're practically forced to do said sidequests just to have a fighting chance), that's when I take issue with it.

Yeah, I can't get down there until after the DMV closes. I'm probably going to just rent a U-haul motorcycle trailer, but I need to make sure my ride has a trailer hitch first.
I tried to play the first Disgaea game, but it was just too hard after the first few levels like geez.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I had the 1st Disgaea game on PSP, but I couldn't deal with all of that grinding, so I didn't get too far in. It's also the reason I haven't returned to Pokemon in a while. I absolutely loved Alpha Sapphire, but I cannot even face doing the grind to get a competitive team again (at least the groups I battle with do not follow Smogon rules, so I'm not having to replace the Greninja and Mawile on my team (team was made before Smogon banned them both))

Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/Whelp going to be moving.. Casey didn't pay the rent on time.. again. and took so long getting it to them the lot owners voided our rental agreement. Good thing I was ready, got a place to stay, just an issue of getting things actually moved up there.
Sucks about getting evicted but at least you have another place ready :)

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Got back from my interview a few minutes ago, and I'm actually feeling really good about it. I met with the kitchen manager today, and I still have to interview with the general manager next week, but I'm actually feeling really confidant about this!
Really makes up for that screw up on last night's drawing. :P

Grats. Moving on to a second interview is always a good sign.

Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Yeah, place is smaller, and more people, and more cramped. But less overall issues, actual working how water, and a LOT closer to work, as well as places for Silver to get a job.
Yeah, I'm on the job hunt too...If you're scheduled for a second interview, you've probably got it in the bag. Well, hopefully.
Actual working hot water and close to work are really good perks. As long as you don't mind being cramped with all those people! I have to move within a month, but where depends on my employment status.
Image summarizes my life atm.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I've got a job right now myself, but it's a college job and I'm technically seasonally employed since the school paper understandably doesn't run during the summer semesters. There's a paintball place that's hiring but I'm not really focused on putting a resume together because we're closing on the end of the semester and I need to focus on a few important papers and whatnot.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yeah, but that's okay if you're a student, so at least you're not a NEET.
