I didn't see any duplicate posts, but for a while I was posting and my new posts weren't showing up.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI think certain posts have become zombified and are now converting nearby posts. Pretty soon every post in the thread will be the same, and it will read thusly: >_>

^^^ Yes.
And ditto everyone else talking about being homophobic when they were younger. Thank god I grew out of it.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.@marston: JT and I are two halves of the same entity that had the OT3 of Twidashjack, but that ship was too much for the universe to handle, and was divided to keep space from rupturing.
I was never really homophobic, I think. I didn't want to be gay, 'cause I was made fun of for it, but I don't think I was ever actively against it. It helped my parents always told me that they wouldn't care if I was(Although in retrospect my Dad's statement of 'don't bring home a flamer' is vaguely upsetting, but I know he's mostly good-antured about it). Interestingly, they had no idea I was genuinely queer. Came as a total shock to them.
I do, however, know that for the longest time I was really skeptical about the existence of Bi people. Which is probably why it took me so long to realize I was Bi, which in retrospect should have been pretty goddamn easy to figure out. I somehow convinced myself that girly guys 'don't count' as gay.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. So which of you is Piccolo, and which is Kami? And will you fuse back together when a giant green bug villain appears int he show?

In other news, I just did a ten-minute beginner's yoga sequence. I am not flexible at all. Which, granted, is why I looked it up in the first place.

Reaction Image RepositorySo what are you seeing? The same post twice?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayLooking back over the last page, I had three whole posts overwritten by JT's. What the heck man, go eat someone else's words.
@Story: Look at the previous page. Apparently the text of my posts got copied over Crowfall's for some reason.
And yeah, it's amazing how life experience can change your perspectives on things. On one hand, it's depressing because of the "I was such a jerk" factor, but on the other hand it gives me a bit of hope knowing that yeah, you can grow out of it and those jerkass homophobic teenagers on youtube might actually get better. The weird thing was that it didn't really have to do with any sort of rights campaigns or anything. It was just meeting people outside my normal sphere of social interaction and realizing that my assumptions weren't accurate. That's the nice thing about the internet, I guess. Of course, on the flipside, you also get the drama nonsense and trolls.
@Wryte: I'll pass on the fusion dance, I like having an individual identity.

Reaction Image RepositoryI just looked at the post numbers, and there are some numbers that are skipped while other numbers have multiple posts with the same numbers. This could make linking to individual posts tricky.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI don't see that at all. But I do see multiple posts with the same post number. However, they have different authors, timestamps and text.
It's possible that the forum software got confused by the duplicate post numbers and served the same post multiple times, but then why does it work when I view it?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayAnd apparently mine aren't tasty at all. :<
Anyway, gonna be streaming shortly if anyone wants to pop in.

Me and Crowfall somehow doubled up or something. And when I try to edit my post, it claims it's Crowfall's post. Somebody crossed the streams.
Anyway, I should get to bed. Have work tomorrow.

Oh, now I see what you mean. Yes, the text is copied over. I just didn't notice. Weird. At least in my case, I probably still have my posts saved, so I can try to repost them.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayOk, here's my lost post 97339. That appears to be the only post of mine that got clobbered.
No you aren't.
All that proves is that the test isn't worth the electrons it's printed on. And I'm serious about that.
Anyway, if you only compare yourself against the top, you'll always feel bad.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThe concept of not comparing myself to others baffles me.
As for trying to improve myself, I'm already working on it. That doesn't mean I don't suck though.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/I wish I could help.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Crowfall: Out of curiosity, what were the things you meant to say before JT ate up your posts?
Comparing yourself to someone else is comparing apples and oranges. No one else on Earth has the same combination of genes, life experience, and opportunities as you. You can't judge results without knowing the context that led to them.
All those people who make you feel inadequate—maybe they're naturally gifted but super lazy. Maybe, if the playing fields had been leveled, you'd have accomplished more than them. Maybe if they, with all their advantage, had applied themselves half as hard as you have, they'd have already colonized Mars and cured cancer. Lazy bums.
Then what am I supposed to compare myself to?
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/Yourself yesterday.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.I'd just like to play devil's advocate here and say it's kind of impossible to completely avoid comparing yourself to others. Comparing ourselves to other people is one way we find what makes us unique, and what we might need to improve. Use those people as role models, but realize you're never in their shadow.
Yes, everyone is unique, but other than your close friends and family, no one you interact with is really going to care about "who are you" so much as "what are you". At the same time, most of those people don't care if there's someone better than you at doing or being something so long as you satisfy a certain level of expertise in it. Just my two cents.
Try not to beat yourself up over a lack of skill. Success in life is largely determined by luck (and porn), anyway.

After I've posted this, the post above me should edit for good testing. That seems to be the case.
