I hope it reaches at least 3 stretch goals, haven't played any Shantae's since the GBC one. I'll pitch in some cash but man, did they choose the wrong time to start the kicker around the time of the Mighty No9 one. Timing sucks.

Yeah the only Shantaa game I have is Risky Revenge, and I never finish it.
I'll most likely get this game on the PS 3 slim seeing as I lack a Wii U for the time being.

I don't mean to be disparaging, but what sets this apart from the other ten billion Kickstarter platformers? Pedigree?

not only is it a new entry into an (admittedly kinda obscure) game series and looks fantastic from what little we've seen, but it's being made by people who've made some fairly good games in recent memory
so yeah its got stuff going for it

I still need to beat Risky's Revenge. I think I keep getting stuck but I forget where since it's been so long since I played. I'm also going to get the original on the eshop one of these days and I'll probably get the Pirate's Curse too.
I might back this game but I'll wait until it gets closer to the end since I already backed two projects in the last few days. Too bad it doesn't look like it will meet any stretch goals. There's some neat stuff in there.
