I have seen people say that but the could be trolling.
Yeah, these things can be pretty dumb.
"Megalo Strikes Back", anyone?
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.Wait, is there context to Megalo Strikes Back besides it being a bop?
Well, both Earthbound and Undertale fans have taken the song for themselves, even though technically it doesn't belong to either one. That has resulted similar arguments regarding Stronger than You.
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.I mean Megalovania itself is technically an Earthbound song so...
This song needs more love.Megalo Strike Back is just one of Toby's contributions to I Miss You - EarthBound 2012, a fan album featuring a bunch of original music made using Earthbound's soundfont.
Fun fact: This is also where Fallen Down originated!
I knew Megalovania from HomeStuck, personally.
This eurobeat mix of Megalovania is pretty drifty :V
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Technically Brandish has the first claim on Megalovania as, by Toby's admission, it's based on the final boss song from the second game.
There's some mild inspiration in the progression but they're different enough that this is more a case of being inspired by than wholesale remixing or copying.
Strictly speaking Megalovania is a derivative of Megalomania, Odio's boss theme from Live A Live. Created because Toby couldn't use Mania for the Halloween Hack.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! To be fair, it does happen that undertale have a thing for taking SU song and reusing it.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Yeah I wasn't saying he copied it. Though he did feel it was close enough to include the certificate for "Gadobadorrer" in the files of the Halloween Hack (alongside another Brandish song that he just wholesale put in, which he was allowed to do because Falcom is ridiculously generous with their music rights).
As a side note: It still amazes how much of Undertale and Deltarune is inspired by an extremely obscure Falcom RPG (even by Falcom fan standards).

This song needs more love.Hey, something just came to me... Is it possible that Kris' sword isnt their pencil... But their knife? They're both blades, after all, and it would make more sense if a knife became an even bigger knife.

That seems somewhat unlikely if only because the pencil Kris has equipped in the Light World changes based on the sword they have equipped in the Dark World;
The WoodBlade connects to the Pencil, the SpookySword to the Halloween Pencil, and the dummied out Trefoil to the Lucky Pencil, with the WoodBlade's description evoking the general form of a pencil. (A wooden exterior over a "metal" [well, graphite's a mineral...] core)
It suggests a direct relation if nothing else. I would honestly more expect their pencil to be becoming their knife as well...
Edit: Though... it can't be ruled out that their swords could be a combination of those two objects. There is some mild suggestion that Dark World equivalents/transformations of objects and people don't necessarily have to conform one-to-one to their Light World counterparts/origins...

Hmm, the combination theory sounds likely, to me. For example, Susie's axe being made out of her own hair and (presumably), Axe shampoo.
It begs to wonder why Kris has a pencil equipped as a weapon instead of their knife, though. I guess it is possible that they just keep it under their bed.
Edit: We never do get to see the actual pencil, though...

The most likey idea is that he didnt have the knife at the time but rather he take out of the kitchen in order to take is soul(or rather, our).
Also I have being thinking about Sans and I ocurred something: Sans pesimistic actituded about how he cant change anything can be held in part because he come from the dark world, a timeline were nothing you do have values.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Been thinking of random aesthetics for the character without a cohesive theme.
- Undyne in a Jojo style with her armor as her stand
- Sans and Papyrus with Comedy and Tragedy masks instead of heads, Gaster with a sad and cracked oni mask
- A more Druidic, horned gods feel to the whole Dreemur family
- Alphys as a triceratops
- Mettaton as a Transformer, his first form being like a boom box or old timey computer or something that his second form has parts of with the tsche-chu-chu-che-tsche noise
- Muffet with a lot of Midna cues
It is time for the (fan made) Deltarune Halloween Special!
We're all still aliens.Hot Dogs French Fries Extended Version
Has he done it before?
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Is anyone else annoyed with SU fans constantly complaint about "Undertale fans think this is the original" with the stronger then you song when like, no one says that?
