While i've never had any experience with it myself, i've generally avoided putting females in the military. I've heard quite a few horror stories of them giving birth on the battlefield, their babies die in the crossfire, and BOOM. Tantrum spiral. Also, males with large families. It's just a disaster waiting to happen.
Is there a link to the original embark somewhere? I wouldn't mind messing around with it for fun (or FUN)
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less. The best we have is after the first year. see here
Who watches the watchmen?@Sasty: Sounds like the setup for a great Dorf epic.
"'LEEROY, JE- *shot in the head*' - the battle cry of the Viha." — MadnessincarnateImagine...an all female military. This could either be really cool or really FUN. Not that much of a difference, anyway.
I could swear that was the case for a little while at either Beigeknife or Waterburned. Either that or there was just a really badass chick that was essentially a one woman army.
"'LEEROY, JE- *shot in the head*' - the battle cry of the Viha." — MadnessincarnateI've heard of players setting up all-female militaries for exactly that reason.

Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less. You may be referring to Tholtig Cryptbrains, the last of the dwarves in some dimension where the dwarves were involved in a long running war elves after giving them the opportunity to multiply.
Also, Archereon is still alive as of the end of my term. After that I can't guarantee. I also cannot guarantee that you weren't going to die moments after my term ended.
Your malevolence knows no bounds. I absolutely love it – viha Kirbonium.NE Sgamer, can I get a check on my dorf? I don't even know if he's dead or alive
"'LEEROY, JE- *shot in the head*' - the battle cry of the Viha." — Madnessincarnate@Archeron: Still alive!
@Kirbonium: You're still kickin', but I've been thwarted by college work for a while. I pray I don't have to pull another NES.
Might get some gameplay in within the weekend, after finishing off a college test and a bit of college homework. (Apologies again, but college had earned higher priority.)

Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.Wow. Deeeeeeeeeeeeeefinitely would have thought Durza would have had me "accidentally" shoulder-checked into the LONG DROP.
"'LEEROY, JE- *shot in the head*' - the battle cry of the Viha." — MadnessincarnateDespite what certain subversive groups would have you believe, I don't have people killed for fun. To alleviate boredom or because they were mildly irritating is another matter entirely. Luckily, those subversives have all been accidentally shoulder checked into lava. On that note, if we get around to my turn again, I'm planning to start a death cult and begin constructing the Loving Armok's Vehicle of Ascension.
Also, I did some research on the lives of people before they came to Jawmetal. Disappointingly, no one was particularly interesting.

Your malevolence knows no bounds. I absolutely love it – viha Kirbonium.aw yeah craftsdwarf.
"This is why elves suck" you got that right! For a race of immortals, they're pretty boring.
Yeah, well. They do tend to eat people and stuff, so I guess they're not all bad.
Your malevolence knows no bounds. I absolutely love it – viha Kirbonium.Who has the playthrough now?
Also no Tuefel on that list? Must have died and no one noticed.
Who watches the watchmen?I didn't include anyone with no history prior to Jawmetal.
NES has the file at the moment, but college is keeping him busy.
Your malevolence knows no bounds. I absolutely love it – viha Kirbonium.Durza: Very odd. There should have been a Tuefel somewhere in there then. No big deal.
I shot NES a pm to see what is up.
Who watches the watchmen?Tradition is to be upheld, that I have failed to pull a year again in a week.
I have got to stop pulling a NES if I wish to continue these succession games.
"If you have any beefs with Santa, do remember to SETTLE IT IN SMASH!" Quote by EdveedIts cool man things happen.
If yuou haven't done so already please double check your link and the file to make sure it is the right one.
And if it is all good all prepare the reign of terror that will life under CONDORITO THE MAESTRO OF MADNESS!
Who watches the watchmen? On the bright side, he hasn't gone through any traumatic surgery or emotional loss this time round, so his turn should be pretty good... shouldn't be too bad... shouldn't be terrible. Also, someone might need to PM Condo. I don't think he's posted here in a while.

Your malevolence knows no bounds. I absolutely love it – viha Kirbonium.I've updated the page, not a whole lot happening during the last year? I'm impressed that we live in a volcano base and have constant goblin invasions, yet we haven't made some colossal monument, enemy siege, or other Dorfy contrivance. (EDIT: Yeah, I know about the framerate issue, but there's other FPS-friendly ways to make superweapons)
@Durza: You do realize that this means any one of them can later qualify for From Nobody to Nightmare?
Maybe that'll be the case when Condorito takes over?
Heh, I'm listening to Dancing Mad right now; I'll take that as ominous.

Since people act differently when they know they're being watched, piety is the best form of madness for getting through life.
Is Archereon the militia commander still alive? I can't seem to tell.
This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
