Most of my serial tweaking is done because I read the page, find and fix an error, continue reading the page, find and fix another error, etc. Forcing you to preview the page won't help with that.
It would help with repeatedly changing markup to make sure that it's not broken, though.
That would increase the time needed for wick cleanings considerably. I vote no on this idea.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've already stored many tropes in Notepad.
It'd be nice if there was a Wiki Sandbox compared to a Forum Sandbox, though. Then again, can't you make a Sandbox page to practice edits too?
Wiki Sandbox is the page you search.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah. Just use that to practice. Once you get it right, copy the parts you want, put her in.
I agree with Septimus Heap. No on this.
Yeah, the Wiki Sandbox is good, I guess. But still.
And for the record, the locker can be optional.

I'm going to have to agree with Septimus. More downside than up on this suggestion.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.
I think we need some sort of program to lock edits until we preview them for the Serial Tweakers among us.
