"Cometh Soon"
I’ve been hoping someone would make a good urban fantasy style genre buster like this. Bright promised, but did not deliver.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The trailer will drop during NBA Finals.
Inb 4 tons of fantasy puns with product placement logos, and a twist where they discover unicorns are actually real.
This isn’t a Dreamworks movie.
Peace is the only battle worth waging. It sure looks like one.
Looks like the existence of unicorns is already common knowledge by the looks of things. So much for that twist, eh?
Joking aside, it looks pretty fun so far. Looking forward to seeing more of it!

"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."Why would Unicorns be scavengers akin to Rodents? Their Equines, and as far as I know, no Equine fits the Scavenger role. A better fit would be the Capra, or Goat and Ibex, family. Unless they want to claim that Unicorns are actually Goats, surely there is a Mythical Goat creature that would be better then a Unicorn.
But yeah, that looks pretty good for just a teaser trailer. And the voice cast looks great; dare I say, Marvelous. I'm excited for the Trailer trailer tomorrow.
Of course Disney totally ninja'd me.
Obviously this is a comedic, low-fantasy world that I highly doubt they put a ton of thought into (unicorns being scavengers instead of being used as horses, etc). I really hope they wrote a great story.
Also I personally feel a tad betrayed by the incorporation of the song "Magic" because I also envisioned using that song in association with a comic I once wrote. Sigh.
I personally think that unicorns sound better as scavengers than just horses, because I've honestly never thought of that concept for unicorns.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Unicorns were actually highly aggressive in legends before the Middle Ages.

Peace is the only battle worth waging.Yeah, people forget that unicorns used to be metal back in the Middle Ages. And they were supposed to be the most wild of creatures to the point that only a virgin could tame them.
I'm getting a weird Pixar-Dreamworks vibe from this. Part of it reminds me of Dreamworks, but it also has a distinctly Pixar tone.
I like the look of it. Taking fantasy and making it mundane is always nice.
When I write unicorns, I always write them as normal horses (albeit more intelligent) but with more mule-like personalities. Their fight-or-flight instinct often leans towards fight because they're protective of their horns. I've never liked the whole "unicorns are mystical, magical, and peaceful" interpretation of unicorns. I just like them as horses with magic.

I have to agree that the character designs are, well, really generic. It truly looks like something Dreamworks or Sony would do. In fact, I think you could put those characters beside the Trolls, and nobody would notice.
I also really, really hope that they toned down the realism of the landscape. The Good Dinosaur was unwatchable for me simply because I couldn't deal with those really childish character designs in front of the hyper-realistic landscape. Made them look unfinished.

Huh, this looks more interesting than I was expecting.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.I was noticing that too.
I wasn't expecting much in the way of info so soon. I thought this movie was a lot further off than it is I guess?
As for the Disney Georgia thing, yeah, I don't blame them for throwing their weight around. They have a lot of staff there and the laws being tossed out suggesting prosecuting someone who goes to another state is way out of line. I may be testy about Disney being involved in politics, but sometimes politics make strange bedfellows and enemy mine situations.
For those who don't quite get why the out of state thing is so out of line, Hawaii has laws against gambling. Las Vegas is a tourist destination based entirely on gambling. Would it be ok for Hawaii to charge someone for going to Nevada to gamble?
Was going through the Lion King 2 YMMV page and wanted to know where I can dispute this:
You don't. That's kind of the thing with Your Mileage May Vary tropes. They're about audience reactions, and everyone has their own. If you really have a problem with the entry, you can change the language to make it clear that only a subgroup of the viewership holds this opinion.

When you realize how they have done business in places like Saudi Arabia and Croatia. The latter which has tough abortion laws. Then it comes off as virtue signaling and hypocritical. Not to mention the fact that they are partnered with China. Again they think Georgia is attacking human rights, but a *beeping* pass to China!! They currently have Muslims in internment camps.

I’ve said this before, but even ignoring politics, I worry that this move will hurt local talent that has nothing to do with these laws.
Peace is the only battle worth waging. The difference is that they usually don't film in those places, and are out of the country.
He said, it would most likely be difficult to stay in Georgia, if it passed, and that's probably true. As other people stated, talent might refuse to film there on principal, which would be a huge problem.

@megaeliz
They have two working parks in China. So, it's right to call them out on their bull. And comes more as myopic.

But they usually don't actually film movies there.
