Yeah. Holy shit.
I love this. Gat was confirmed to be even more fearsome than the Boss, so naturally, he's the new playable character. I wonder how they'll excuse The Boss not being playable though.
Sadly, it's a next-gen exclusive it seems.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!They're also releasing the Saints Row IV Re-election edition, which is a next-gen port with improved visuals and all (currently) released DLC for $30.
zinyak<The devil himself.
Only kinzie is the who can save us all.
My god, that sounds fucking awesome.
Also if they DON'T have Meatloaf's hit, Bat Out of Hell, in it they fucked up.
I watched both of Jesse Cox 's playthroughs of the third and fourth games and those looked really fun, so I'll probably get this XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yeah, in that Kotaku article itself, funnily enough.
"It's a standalone expansion pack for Saints Row IV in which you play as the ever... colorful Johnny Gat or the booksmart yet utterly badass Kinzie—or both in co-op. It's coming to current and last-gen consoles as well as PC and will run you $19.95."
Note the last sentence. "...as well as PC". It should be out at or near the same date as the other formats listed.
What do you mean there were three up arrows? There were only two.

I don't get why they don't expand on it and turn it into Saints Row V like they did with Enter the Dominatrix.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. Are they actually improving the graphics in Re-Elected or just increasing the resolution to 1080p? It might be worth it if it's a proper graphical facelift. If they were including Saints Row the Third in the package as well, I'd pre-order it ASAP. Just IV plus Gat Out of Hell, though... not sure.
Disappointing that Gat Out of Hell won't let you play as the Boss, but hopefully this is just an interim game while they're making Saints Row V.

What makes a good man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?Hey, new to the Saints Row thing. Just got SR 3 and SR 4 in the steam sale last week. Beat SR 3 and I intended to move to SR 4 but I'm running into issues.
Namely, neither game will allow me to log into the Online Community so I can upload and download my character. First off, I think its incredibly stupid that this can't be done locally. But, the main issue is that it won't accept my username and password. It consistently says that its incorrect even though the site allows me to log in just fine.
I've scoured the web but haven't found anything helpful. Any suggestions from guys here?
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.Gameplay for Gat out of Hell seems alright so far, but I really hope I get to play as The Boss again eventually.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Gat Out of Hell was alright. I managed to beat it in two sittings. I think they should have made it a full game.
The gameplay was pretty good. Flying is fun once you get used to it. Sadly, the game is pretty easy: I was able to get gold medals in every activity without much difficulty.
Arm-chair-megaddon is the best thing ever.
The story is too thin. There were only a couple of really hilarious/memorable moments: the musical number and Gat meeting God.
Exploring New Hades was my favorite part of the game. I actually prefer it to Steelport (I haven't played either of the Stillwater games, so I can't make a comparison with that city.)
How long is it give or take? Any customization options?
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote? It took me about 8 hours to complete the story, get 100% city control, and get every collectible. It probably takes longer than that to complete all the challenges, but I've never been patient enough to kill 100 enemies with every weapon and superpower. Sadly, there's no customization. If you have Saints Row 4 save data, the game will give your Boss the appearance and voice of your most recent save, but that's all.
If it weren't for a blizzard forcing me to stay home for two days, I would have waited for it to go on sale. While the effort the devs put into this justifies the $20 price tag, it's just too short.

I played a bit of Saints Row IV when it was free to play a weekend or two ago. It was good, but I'm waiting for it to show up in a Bundle or the like.
Got it for 5 bucks from Gamestop pre-launch. Been putting it off, but I might play it later.
So I just got Reelected, never played Saints Row before. Trying to make Senator Armstrong, well, President Armstrong. Not perfect, but I think I'm as close as I can get without spending a week adjusted every variable for the face.
Edit: President Armstrong just fucked cancer and punched a dickhead. This is the greatest decision I have ever made and I love this game already.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyI've just encountered a rather odd bug in SR 4: All the cars and pedestrians are gone. Random occurrences such as cops pulling over normal drivers, or roadworks, are still there, but even in the military base there's nobody around. Makes attracting the aliens rather difficult, as they won't appear unless you both have enough notoriety and have harmed the police or army.
Leaving to the real world and returning doesn't help, nor does starting a minigame thing which alters alien or pedestrian spawn rates (I tested the Mech Suit and Trail Blazing games). All that's left I can think of is to save, quit, and load, or to enter a plot-based level such as Santa or the Dominatrix. (The main story is not really an option, as I'm up to the last one of those.)
I do think I know part of what caused it though: I was fighting a Warden (which removes all cars, pedestrians, and other aliens), then ran away so as to fight in a more open area. I beat it, then... nothing spawned.
Is anybody still playing this? I want to run co-op on the one, but I got nothing.
So bored it hurts.

The Reaper Games starts anew.Never got to do co-op at all. I came by to re-post this because I adore this ending.
I don't know what's funnier - that the main characters end the game, while in control of the most technologically advanced empire in the universe, deciding to have a dance-off.
Or that they resurrected Zinyak/put him into the simulation and forced him to participate.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!NECROMANCY!
Because I cast: NEWS!
and also
https://www.pcgamer.com/volition-is-working-on-a-new-saints-row/
Press release from THQ Nordic confirms a slew of new titles being worked on currently. And apparently the new Volition game is a "Full fat" new entry in the Saints Row franchise. So, not a new Agents of Mayhem (Alt universe) or Gat out of Hell Spinoff.
TBH though not quite sure where they can go from here without the humour feeling strained - open world RPG? Full scale time travel?
On the other hand, I'm sad it isn't Freespace 3...
Not sure whether to be incredibly excited over a new Saints Row, or sad that this is another nail in the coffin of Agents of Mayhem. I feel like a fully squad-based sequel to that would be really fun, and I already loved the original.
:smug:Never got to play Agents of Mayhem. Quite sad indeed. I don't know what was actually wrong with that game it looked hype as hell way back when and then all news about it just... stopped.
I'd assumed it was a poor release but I've not seen any videos like the storm of "FALLOUT IS RUINED" videos that came out after 76. AOM doesn't seem like a broken game.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Agents of Mayhem's problems are even more devastating than Fallout 76 in some respect because it was disappointing rather than angering. The city was small, the activities limited, and the player characters were so numerous you couldn't get attached to any of them nor was there any of the story that was always a surprisingly effective way to get you engaged with the chararcters.
Basically, the game acted like Saints Row 5 with nothing to ground us to the GI Joe world that plenty of fans would have enjoyed I think.

There's a stand alone expansion called Gat Goes To Hell coming out. You have to rescue the Boss who was kidnapped by Satan and you play as Johnny Gat.Link at bottom of last page. Looks fun.edited 29th Aug '14 12:49:08 PM by GethKnight
