She once took a sword to the brain.
I think a flamethrower is an altogether different type of damage.
I have literally never been so happy to have been wrong.
I'm not sure whether to be annoyed that her Healing Factor is being portrayed a little inconsistently or glad she's able to stop Alison from doing something we'd all regret.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)How is it being portrayed inconsistently? She recovers more slowly due to the strain of surgery (hence her visible fatigue from earlier and her still severely damaged form now), but given that Alison intervened and the sprinklers went off, I doubt she got torched to the point that her Healing Factor was completely exhausted.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia! For that matter, it's not even been shown if her healing factor can be completely exhausted. Sure, it seems to take time to recover heavy damage (and be unable to recover fully from impalement without the object being removed), but for all we know she may have From a Single Cell regeneration given enough time.

Still, that had to hurt...
Dis sum beautiful shit rite here.
The conversation with Cleaver was really interesting.
I like how the top book in the stack is Calvin and Hobbes!
Apparently he's taking us through an origins story arc.
It's nice to see a superhero whose childhood isn't unremittingly traumatic. Maybe that's part of why Alison's such a nice person - she had the benefit of a loving family who taught her to care about others.
And it's Mom for the win!
Did somebody call for a power emergence event?
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Uh oh...
I'm loving all this backstory. The government's initial response seems very plausible - extremely security-focused (and certainly something that I can see some of the newly-superpowered people legitimately rejecting and fighting/running/hiding from), but not deliberately hostile towards "biodynamic" people.
The revelation that the in-comics flashback-US is under martial law in response to Menace seems like a major overreaction, though, and a bad sign. The comic mentions five separate attacks in US cities, which is pretty major, but the US has been through worse (okay, depending on the scale of the attacks you might have to go back to Civil War days to find "worse", but still).
Also, I hadn't noticed at all that the guy who rejected Allison's attempt to discuss The Two Towers earlier was Pintsize.

Is anyone else still reading this?
I'm really enjoying it (and I'm very impressed with the new full-colour look). Interested in the new character of Paladin.
Any speculations on what Patrick's up to?
I'm still reading this. It's still very very good, and I think I'm going to enjoy seeing Alison's interactions with Paladin.
No idea what Patrick is up to. That guy is hard to track. On the one hand, he seems genuine, but on the other Alison is not immune to his mind reading, and he gave that speech about how it's ridiculously easy to make someone do whatever you want if you know their entire mind.
Yeah another "out"? superhero that she knows at the school should be interesting
Lets try to guess what she teaches. Biology?
Given the latest strip, I cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or just have not read it yet.

I dont remember where it was stated she could regrow her brain and such. Can you provide a link?
