Pretty, though.
Just what the heck happened to the star in Odin's home system to cause such sudden and massive changes? Talk about one creepy stellar phenomenon...
My first guess would be TITAN, but this strikes me as a magical change, and I don't recall if we've seen TITAN or his followers using magic to any real degree.
Maybe it's a Dyson sphere?
The depiction on Page 2179 is very distinctly the same as the depiction of a black hole in Interstellar (which was itself designed to be mostly "realistic" insofar as it matches the calculated visual appearance of a black hole with an accretion disk, although they left out a few effects that would make it look even weirder). So clearly their sun collapsed into a black hole.
As for the cause of this, well, we don't have any information, so speculation reigns. Given that it seems to be implied that "Titan-years" are similar or identical to Earth years, that implies that their planet was way further out from its sun than Earth is, which implies that their sun had to be much bigger / hotter to keep it in the habitable zone (again assuming that Odin's people are human-equivalent, since they look human-equivalent ...). Bigger stars burn hotter and have shorter lifespans, so it's possible that it might have simply run out of fuel and collapsed naturally. However, I was under the impression that said collapse process tends to be ... energetic, to say the least (namely involving a supernova), which raises the question of why it didn't simply sterilize Aedinfell immediately.
Edit: "Because the core-collapse mechanism of a supernova is, at present, only partially understood, it is still not known whether it is possible for a star to collapse directly to a black hole without producing a visible supernova, or whether some supernovae initially form unstable neutron stars which then collapse into black holes; the exact relation between the initial mass of the star and the final remnant is also not completely certain. Resolution of these uncertainties requires the analysis of more supernovae and supernova remnants." - from Wikipedia. So it's not totally impossible that their sun could just turn into a black hole without vaporizing their planet, but mostly because we don't know how the process works well at all (it's not like you can just create one in a lab ...).

New update here.
Am I the only one wondering if that's why Odin was looking for hosts, so they'd have something Titan wanted for a trade?
Update. Odin's family situation.
And with the latest update, Odin is saying that TITAN created the Silent Scavengers who go around destroying colonies and acting like raiders. He probably isn't wrong either - would explain why his older brother was able to use Scavenger tech to interface with TITAN's secure systems.
After that bit of information there's no other way to put it, TITAN's pretty much responsible for every current major problem or misery in the known galaxy right now... well, obviously before Wrathia's empire, cause she sure as heck wasn't a pleasant ruler.
Update. Ava and Odin discussing the Silent Scavengers, and Strategos talking to someone with a suspiciously vice-like name.
Veevra sounds like a Vice?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youAvvrice = Avarice.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Avvrice is the kind of name that shouts "the greed one".
Avvrice/avarice.
'ed because I forgot to refresh the page.

Ah I see. I misread.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youCatching up. Nice touch with remembering that a 15-year-old might not know the word "apathy".
Update. Ava finally notices her horns.
Close to another plot advancement.

Does he need to? I thought he was aware of Pedri, just ignoring him. That's what Pedri seems to be assuming, at least.
That's an awful lot of ignoring, though. He doesn't even seem all that interested in Ava's tale, even though it is clearly relevant to Odin's situation. Pedri also seems to be unable to influence Odin's behaviour like Wrathia used to do to Ava.
Perhaps the connection between the two is just awfully weak.

Seeing. Odin gets a shard (ouch) in his eye and can see Wrathia, at least briefly. He doesn't look in Pedri's direction, so still no confirmation on that one yet.
What kind of planet was Ava living on that it didn't have a Sun? Was it even part of a planetary system for that matter, or just a rogue planetoid floating out there on its lonesome?
