Much thanks, guys!
@rikalus - Yeah, that has been one of my fears. I have so many stories I want to write...but I couldn't work on any of them because I still haven't finished the first one.
Now I can finally write that story about the nicest Nazi ever lived!
@wander - That's the stupidest thing I ever heard.
(Quickly hides the "Unused Ideas Folder)
So, I completed the big task of finishing my first novel. Now awaits the next, bigger hurdle: getting it actually published.
Anybody wanna bet how many times I will gey rejected before the publication?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Yeah man, congrats. Almost everyone thinks about writing a novel at some point in their life, but you actually went and did it!
JJBA Battle Tendency fanfiction?
And yeah, I was worried that Sailor Moon cousins Dub-Induced Plot Hole wasn't known outside of the US and Canada.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThanks!
I mean, what good is getting a BA in English literature if you aren't even going to write at least one novel?
A historical fiction about Albert Goering, actually. But that would work too, yes.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. In another topic, anime review time!
- Finished The Rising Of The Shield Hero. It's much better in the whole "MC does everything" issue in that he always needs his companions to fight properly, but more than makes up for its sheer misogyny and other toxicity. I regret why I even considered this as a Guilty Pleasure. One and a half star out of four.
- Started to watch Kimetsu no Yaiba, on the episode 3 now. Hoo boy, this anime is fantastic. Like, holy crap, this might just be one of the best adaptation of a shonen action manga ever. Where do I begin...to start with, both soundtracks and sound design are amazing, the action actually have decent camera work and choreography, and the characters are...likable is a bit strong, but they are very tolerable. I'm definitely looking forward to more episodes.
Damn, Zelda Breath of the Wild sure have a deep, moving story:
Haven't been able to post as much as I would like due to my studies recently. How is everyone doing?
Also I'm behind on several series, so that sucks.
I'm still trying to get through Berserk and Claymore.
I keep starting and restarting One Piece but its length is downputting.
Also I still gotta play through that Fate Stay mobile game as well as Three Houses once I'm done with Awakening.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Lot of anime/manga, Netflix, and games I still need to finish. But for now, I'm going to the gym more.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyFGO is evil, you should just read the story on Youtube or something.
That's a lot of of long runners right there.
Trying to get back in shape?
Did you come to dislike the game?
I dislike the business model more than the game. ...But yes, actually. I put in a lot of work during raffle events and got all my Servants to max level, max level on all my skills I cared about and could get any Servant I wanted if I just tossed my designated free spending money at the game. However, I got bored because I realized with all that accomplished I had nothing left to actually work towards except collecting more Servants I didn't really care about and wasting a bunch of time with boring grinding. So basically gambling with no chance of winning something of lasting value and no fun to be had except that momentary excitement of rolling the gacha. It's not healthy and I don't have good enough control over my spending to play a game like FGO anyway.
The game just doesn't really have anything left to offer as actual entertainment at this point.

I don't think the gatcha is supposed to be the fun part. What about the actual gameplay?
Oh my, this thread is active again!
I agree that FGO is evil. In fact, I have a burning hatred for pretty much all the games that run on gatchas, loot boxes, and other forms of microtransactions. I'd ban the shit out of it if it was legal...
As for the anime/manga, I finished Kimetsu no Yaiba and I highly recommend it. It's possibly the first-ever anime by ufotable that manages to be TYPE-MOON adaptation level of quality despite not being one.
Oh yeah, and I started boxing and now I've learned all the punches...which isn't much of an achievement really, seeing how there are only four punches (jab, cross, hook, uppercut).
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Gatcha is gambling, there's just not getting around that fact.
Kimetsu No Yaiba is some good shit. One of the best anime in recent years. And yeah, it looks really good.
Congratulations, you learned a new move! Which of the existing moves would you like to forget?
What about Megaton Punch? Dragon Fist? Shoryuken?
What about Megaton Punch? Dragon Fist? Shoryuken?
My ass was too broken to fly all the way China and climb deep into the mountains to roll down rocks and meditate under waterfalls and such, so I just had to settle with boring old boxing.
Congratulations, you learned a new move! Which of the existing moves would you like to forget?
Oh God, this joke. This reminds me that I haven't played Pokemon for two years by now.
The last Pokemon game I finished was Pokemon Black and White 2. Apparently Pokemon games kinda started to decline ever since Ohmori started to take charge of the series.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. The actual gameplay is functional.
@Shlugo: yeah, trying. Both for my own health (which isn't bad), and to make it easier to do some of the stuff I want to do while I'm still young.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy@Arha - It sounds like an implication that the gameplay didn't change a bit.
@wander - Good call, the earlier you start hitting gym, the better.
Maybe I too should go to regular gym, instead of wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and boxing gyms.
In another topic, stumbled across Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku. As the title indicates, it's a romantic comedy about otakus. It feels like a slower paced, more subculture-aware version of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, one of my all time favorite mangas.
Also, all the characters are working adults, rather than high school students, which I find greatly refreshing.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Fundamentally, they're never going to change the gameplay. There have been minor tweaks and so on on a regular basis but they don't really shake things up significantly.
Well, if Chinese martial arts novels taught me anything, you still have one way open to you - copious amounts of drugs.
Good for you, some stuff can be only done when yer young.
like speed
International travel is easier when young, too. And other stuff.
I should've been sluttier in college.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyUuugh I don't know how people manage to get fat. I went out to dinner with my family, overate and have been feeling like shit for the past few hours. How do people manage to eat that much all the time? Are they masochists?
Congratulations! And yes, you did accomplish something!
