Spoilers for Episode 18:
That will be the Birds of Prey inspired episode that they teased a while back, called "Lost Canary", and based on some set photos, it looks like it will have Caity Lotz as Sara Lance appearing.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoOh Diggle. You actually think this is a good idea don't you?
You know your decision is bonkers when I'm agreeing with Felicity of all characters.
Operation Blow-The-Head-Off-Of-The-Dragon. YES!
And of course this backfires on them. Did you guys seriously expect this to go well for you guys?
For all his hype though, this Dante guy feels really unimpressive. He seems like just....and he's taking on Ollie. Well alright then. Shut MY mouth why don't you?
SHOOT HIM FELICITY! SHOOT! HIM! NOW!
Oooorrr Diggle can wreck him.
They should still shoot him though.
Dragon BBQ anybody?
And it turns out Lady-Arrow really is working for the bad guys. Great.

Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?I'm not sure if Diaz catching the Lighter was the dumbest move he could have made, an instinctive reaction, or the only hope he had to not get lit up.
Either way, there was no winning that one. We'll see if this is really the end of him though.
One Strip! One Strip!Man, just one appearance and Dante is so much better than Diaz. Probably because Dante is also the fucking Highlander, man!
This was a good episode. We probably shouldn't expect Diaz to actually be dead because this is a superhero show (even if Earth 1's Diaz dies, a different Earth's Diaz could appear on the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover), but the tease of Diaz being killed off will please many regardless.
Personally, I think that Diaz was kind of a plot tumor, but Kirk Acevedo is such a good actor. I also enjoyed the not-Suicide Squad Ghost Initiative for the brief amount of time that we had them.
Diaz also could still be alive, since in the comics, when the Ninth Circle (the group Dante leads) inducts someone into their group, they burn their skin.
The series ending this Fall with 10 episodes[1]
So I guess the only question left is...
Will he finally stop failing his city?
One Strip! One Strip! So he's definitely going to die in Crisis on Infinite Earths, right?
In any case, I think this is a good thing: Arrow had gone through ups and downs and this season is currently doing pretty well, so it's better to end on something good than keep going until it's bad again. Plus, eight seasons is nothing to sneeze at (although Supernatural will keep going until the sun explodes).
And it makes room for Batwoman, which continues to sound awesome.

I am okay with Green Arrow taking the Flash's place in stopping the Anti-Monitor. It started with Arrow, it's fitting.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. It really is, isn't it?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyYeah, that's definitely making it sound like Crisis on Infinite Earths will end up being the finale of Arrow (whether or not it results in Oliver's death).
Remember Season 1? When there were no superpowers, and they were trying to portray all this superhero stuff in gritty, realistic style? Now the series is going to end on our hero fighting cosmic entities to save the multiverse. That is one hell of a transition.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoHeard this was finally ending after season...8? I had the feeling that CW would never let go of any of the DC shows it had because of how popular it made them.
Better to quit while you're ahead. But damn, seven years...
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Question, is this a cancellation or simply an official ending? Because I've seen it called the former.
Nope. The creators unanimously made the decision to end it.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I think Diaz being afraid of anyone is BS after all the shit he pulled the last two seasons.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Only one way this can end...
“Anti-Monitor, you have failed this universe!”
What's the difference?
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoIt's about time.
Cancellation could mean the executives pulled it, and thus the writers might have to scrap together an ending, or in the worst scenario end it on a cliffhanger.
If it were officially ending they're more likely to have an ending in mind, and have time to do so, or that they'd planned to end things here.
I feel like it's less that they reached a group consensus/wanted to end it and more that having Arrow and Batwoman is redundant. Plus Arrow was long past it's proposed ending with Oliver finally making it off the island. And we have a shortened season which I'm almost sure the CW hasn't done with any of these superhero shows.
In an objectively better timeline with flying cars, free healthcare, and explosive chewing gum, Arrow would have gone:
- Season 1 < Season 2 < Season 7 < Season 5
Then wrapped itself up and lead into Flash. The amount of guest appearances on these shows would have kept Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Richards on set if Guggenheim wasn't happy.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It'll be interesting to see the differences on how they adapt things, especially after Flash and Supergirl came out and things got more comic book-y.
Wake me up at your own risk.I stopped watching after season 4, but I will admit that Arrow being the first to go fills me with feels over what it started.
You should really continue. Season 5 was a blast. Season 6 had its problems, but was still way cooler than Season 4. And Season 7, so far, has been awesome.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianI got into Arrow through Netflix (with the rest of the CW DC shows) but when I heard Oliver and Felicity got married, I lost any and all will to continue.
I've felt the same ever since a nuke almost hit Star City.
EDIT: I barely recognize this show anymore.
