“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.I think I'm going to be building around the Lorehold Commander.
It looks like an artifact focused Boros deck that can get a lot of value. There's even a combo that for five mana lets you Time Stretch your opponents.
In Boros.
Here's a new Strixhaven side story;
A Cry of Magic, by Aysha U. Farah
In The Strixhaven, Part 1. I'm really digging this set. In part because I am in uni myself now. And it seems to bring new life to the old enemy colour pairs which intrigues me as enemy colours were always the ones I gravitate towards.

Liliana's trying to resurrect Gideon. Didn't something like this backfire on her before?
Yes. Yes it did.
If things go badly enough, we may see a Legendary White Black Gideon Zombie.
I mean. (She thinks) She probably knows how to make it work this time. She's gotten enough knowledge and mileage to make it work this time, just watch!
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.So anyway I got a look at the Hall Monitor card.
...Dammit, Wizards of the Coast.
Disgusted, but not surprised@Elfive:
"Here We Go Again!" screamed George.
Planeswalker's Guide to Strixhaven
After getting a better idea of what the five colleges are all about, I think I've settled on Lorehold as the one that most resonates with me.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Complete card gallery is out. I appreciate this set, especially the lore.

Episode 3: Extracurriculars, by Adana Washington
I really ought to wait until the stories all come out before looking at the card galleries. Sure, things don't always play out as depicted in the cards, but the general strokes are still there.
Disgusted, but not surprisedToday's side story;
The Chains that Bind, by Reinhardt Suarez

Also, this week's Strixhaven main story episode is up.
Epiosde 4: Put to the Test. by Adana Washington
So apparently, Extus Narr knows about the multiverse and Planeswalkers, and has started going Darth Sidious on Lukka - who seems nothing but eager to be corrupted.
Lukka then went ahead and amplified the Mage Killer monsters with his magic.
Not that Extus needed to do much. Lukka was already the kind of person willing to unleash a monster horde on a city in his debut story. Even Vivien Reid, someone who thinks badly of civilization in general, thought he was going too far.
He's basically a guy with the mindset of a mass shooter who also happens to have formidable magical power over beasts.

Disgusted, but not surprisedSo really more of a villain team up than a straight corruption. All Extus really had to do was point him in the right direction. So...really more Darth Sidious and Darth Maul.
"At last, we will have our revenge."
"For what?"
I will say that Lukka's introduction to the plane could give him the idea that Strixhaven's a problem.
Lukka is really weird in that the Ikoria cards portrayed showed him being someone befriending a monster and getting persecuted by his xenophobic city for it, being ezzentially the hero of the story. Then the Ikoria story summary came up and explained that he was someone befriending a monster and getting persecuted by his xenophobic city for it, who then responded by using an Artifact of Doom to crete an army of super mosnters to raze said city to the ground, ultimately becoming the villain of the story.

You think Extus might be connected to whoever our next major villain's gonna be?
The last Strixhaven main story is up!
