2014 Holiday Card - Mishra's Toy Workshop.
You're an ad hominem attack!Either my eyes are going or i can't find a good enough quality image, who's the artist credit on Mishra's Toy Workshop?
So, this is my prediction for Fate Reforged: the clans each stop being wedges (obviously) and focus on one color, with some hybrid in between to keep the "wedge" theme going.
- Abzan is the White clan
- Jeskai is the Blue clan
- Sultai is the Black clan
- Mardu is the Red clan
- Temur is the Green clan
This way, instead of focusing on an allied color pair and how it plays with its enemies, it focuses on a single color and how it can be influenced by its enemies.
I then predict that Dragons of Tarkir will have the clans settle back into their allied color pair, without the enemy color with them.
- Abzan = GW
- Jeskai = WU
- Sultai = UB
- Mardu = BR
- Temur = RG
This is based on the fact that the dragon in the art of Dig Through Time is specified in the artist prompt to be UB:
As this is a Sultai spell, it makes me think that Sultai will become UB. With that settled, it becomes obvious where the other clans will end up.
I'm not sure what the point of making the clans allied-colored pairing would be when they already have an entire Plane dedicated to two-color pairings.
What you're suggesting would make Tarkir near-redundant as long as Ravnica is still around, but it would be worse for Tarkir because Ravnica covers the entire 10-pair lineup.
Plus, the one card we've seen spoiled that's got a heavy clan identity is green with red/blue hybrid mana.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.I think they even said Fate and Dragons won't be multicolor sets (maybe I'm making this up?)
Not that I wouldn't like to play Gruul. But I don't think they will go back to multicolor. Probably mono+hybrid, as Yasova implies. Multicolor Dragons (not wedge-colored, as Maro said there are no wedges in Fate or Dragons) would probably work though.

They call it the Rumour Mill because every time one specific guy posts I definitely feel cards going from my library to my graveyardYeah, I'm thinking the clans will settle into one color identity. Though I think it'd be more interesting to switch them to enemy colors, because the clans would change more noticeably:
Abzan = Black
Jeskai = Red
Sultai = Green
Mardu = White
Temur = Blue
But they'll probably just go with the main colors of each clan.

''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''Announcing Modern Masters 2015 Edition!
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Always wanted to play/own more of Zendikar! Looks fun!
Dat $10 MSRP tho. I'm tempted to just draft this instead of actually buying any.
Well, there's a foil in every pack. Totally not a marketing strategy to make us think 10$ a pack is worth it.
They call it the Rumour Mill because every time one specific guy posts I definitely feel cards going from my library to my graveyardIt seems they're well aware they can get away with it because if it's anything like Modern Masters, those packs are going to have cards that are going to be worth quite a bit to the hard-core Modern crowd.

They could make us sign a mortgage loan to get the boosters and they would get away with it.
People would complain the contract was printed on the wrong side of the paper, though.

As I'm sure just about every other player does.
Looks quite good. Also feels like this is pointing to a "choice" theme in Fate Reforged.

''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''Oh my, I can see many "choice" cards finding a place in my EDH decks.
It does look good. It also looks like it's going to be a massive pain in my ass.
Kills Rhino and Polukranos, not bad. Unfortunately can't touch Stormbreath or Pearl Lake Ancient.
That sounds very much like the "dies to Doom Blade" argument.
I'm just noting that it doesn't kill two of the four most powerful creatures out there. Ajani's Vengeance gives indestructable and +1/+1 for less, and Glare of Heresy exiles AND can hit Elspeth. IMO it doesn't stand up to the current cards and will maybe be sideboard material or find a slot in UW Heroic.
Yeah, maybe so, but you're overlooking how this is basically two cards in one.
It's practically a split card, when you think about it.
The problem is that the Charms are better for options, while the other two that I mentioned are more efficient manawise. It just doesn't seem to want to fit anywhere in the current decks.
Edit: I'm actually reconsidering this. I forgot that it hits Butcher of the Horde, Doomwake Giant and Courser. That's some value.
