Hulk isn't that heroic. Half the time they're tearing down buildings because they're on a rampage, the other half they're punching anyone who pissed them off, and that's when they're not a space barbarian or a gangster.

The Space Barbarian is the most heroic alter.
And the Childlike Hulk only ever attacks if he's attacked first.

The Hulk alters are however, innocent in a way. Well, Savage Hulk is at any rate. He's the embodiment of Banner's childhood trauma.
As the Leader possessing Green Scar Hulk explained back in Immortal Hulk, Savage Hulk is the childhood Banner got.
Disgusted, but not surprisedJoe Fixit is one of the meaner ones in a sense cause he has intelligence and a desire for hedonism
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Wasn't the progenitor modeled after Stark in a sense? That kind of bias would at least explain his and Cap's judgments
I'm actually surprised Iron Man passed in that case. Tony doesn't like himself very much, after all.
Though Immortal Hulk has Joe explaining that he too is a child. He's specifically a childhood fantasy of Banner's that was inspired by old gangster movies. Joe is just a kid's idea of what a tough guy is.

Disgusted, but not surprisedx5 The Space Barbarian invaded Earth and the child-like Hulk tears down people's homes because he's mad. A building can't hurt him so it's not like he has an excuse. And don't tell me he hasn't killed anyone in his tantrums. The comics can say it as many times as they want, but there is no way he hasn't hurt someone with all his rampages.

Guess he managed to prove himself even in the eyes of himself.
Kind of a you are better than you think you are moment.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Its not about how heroic you are. I think its more about how true to yourself you are? Doom passed and he nuked a universe.
And he didn't even need to die.
Take That! MCU Tony! Comics Stark just topped you!
One Strip! One Strip!Because he believed the the Illuminati had intentionally caused the explosion that killed his wife and a good chunk of Sakaar.
Even then he didn't want to kill them.
No, it's because someone picked a fight with him. Savage Hulk doesn't do anything unless provoked. Like he repeatedly says, he just wants to be left alone. He doesn't intentionally destroy homes, that only happens because a supervillain or General Ripper decided to attack the Hulk.
He hasn't killed anyone. The only alters that have killed are The Professor and The Devil Hulk.
×2
The Celestial's standards seems to vary from book to book.
But yeah, he might pass Bruce purely because of everything he has had to put up with in his life.

That's bullshit and you know it. Like I said, I know what the comics say and I don't give a shit. There is no way he hasn't and nothing you or Marvel says can convince me otherwise.
It's not bullshit, Savage has never been seen killing anyone. That's a fact.
On the other hand, we have seen the Devil Hulk kill people on panel.

You're free to think the canon is stupid, but don't try to tell people they're wrong because they follow the canon. You don't have a leg to stand on here.

Rather unexpectedly, the 1990s Marvel UK series Dark Guard has just landed on Marvel Unlimited today.
Apart from some Death's Head and the Captain Britain and Night Raven stuff, none of the UK titles have been made available digitally or reprinted in non-UK collections.
I wonder if this means we're going to get the whole 90s line reprinted. Is the 21st century really ready for classic 1990s characters like "Die-Cut"?
I wish the Marvel UK characters would show up more often.
Jamie McKelvie put an alternate version of Motormouth into Captain Carter, which was fun. And the opening newspaper montages are packed full of references to Marvel UK characters, which might be more than a throwaway gag if they get a sequel.
But, yeah, agreed.
The original Knights of Pendragon was pretty good.
Yeah. Loved the first run, ambivalent at best about the second.
And the Revolutionary War one-shot by Rob Williams didn't seem to actually like the characters or premise, and veered into narm (a giant Mo Farah replacing the Green Knight? Really?)
Carlos Pacheco's suffering from ALS and his 'Damage Control' cover will be his final comics work.
Crap. :-(
That puts Marvel's digital re-release of Dark Guard today - some of his very first Marvel work - in a very different light.
Damn 30 years, a Hell of a career
Also damn this week's issue of Sam Wilson has such a negative portrayal of Wakanda and Black Panther that I saw someone say Latveria looks better
You know Marvel is fucking up a character when the country run by a tyrannical dictator comes across as better

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Oh wow, hat is a shame. Pacheco's always been fantastic.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. It took me a while to get around to finishing off Marvel Dark Ages because I wasn’t very impressed three issues in and now I’m not impressed six issues in.
The whole story just speeds to a conclusion, apparently because the writer was jumping ship to DC. Which, yknow, fine and best of luck.
And I know it isn’t the best criticism to complain that a story wasn’t a completely different story but the main plot of heroes try to stop Apocalypse from redestroying the world during the post apocalypse feels less interesting than all the little setting details that get quickly introduced and brushed past. And time skipping from the end of the world to “no it’s cool, we built a utopia now that comic book geniuses aren’t held back by status quo” certainly was a choice.
Also my prior complaints about how incredibly stupid the inciting incident is.
There’s a lot of stuff that could be interesting if given time in a longer than six miniseries format, maybe each issue exploring a different aspect of the Dark Ages world.
But that’s very much complaining that a story wasn’t a different story
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
The twist is banner gets the thumbs down and most hulk get the thumbs up
