In today's issue of X-Men FF, we get the noted false god trusting Dr. Doom to restore his powers for him. While I understand that Doom would do anything to one up Reed, Franklin and Valeria are trusting Victor "I have attained godhood many times and used it all to prop myself up as God Emperor or have attempted to do such" von Doom.

Yeah, our main character is a damn moron.

This wouldn't have happened if Reed didn't alter Franklin in order to make him invisible to the Krakoa gates. Then again, Franklin making a decision like this almost makes Reed seem right, even if he was wrong so there we go.

I'm still trying to figure out all the hero combos at the end of Tarot 3. some are pretty obvious, but I'm still not sure who reaper's non-vision half is. Valkyrie maybe? And Gadget is maybe iron man + thor?

[up]x6 After X-Men #7, I'd definitely say Reed was right.

Reed is always wrong, even when he's right.

Because he goes about being right in the wrong ways.

[up][up] They would not do that. For one thing, he would only go through Crucible if he wanted to and he wouldn't even be allowed, since he still has his powers, they just are reduced. Crucible is only for those who lost their powers.

Man, villainizing the X-Men by making shit up is going to get super popular now, isn't it?

I really dont think they would be fine with an omega level not having his full powers and living forever on cult island.

The clear implication from Apocalypse's comments is that he sees human's as weak and those who will flee from conflict rather than stand. Now as long as he's been around you would think he'd know better.

No they would most likely take Frankin to the Healing Gardens to see what was wrong and try to help him. They would only allow him to go through the Crucible if 1) he LOST his powers permanently 2) if Franklin wanted to have them restored.

I mean, yeah, they would. That's kind of the entire point of Krakoa: if you're a mutant, you will be safe on Krakoa. You don't have to go through Crucible if you don't want to. And, again, the only people going through Crucible are those who permanently lost their powers.

yeah and these are also the people who keep altering the deal with mystique to not bring back destiny. If they want franklin back at full power they will get him.

[up] They keep altering the deal because they know they can't bring Destiny back. They aren't supervillains, they aren't going to forcibly kill Franklin. And if you keep saying they are, obviously you've missed the entire point of the books.

they are acting like supervillains. if moria tells them they need to kill franklin to have him at full powers they will.

...I'm not sure of that...right now.

I do know that a lot of people are uneasy about the things going on with them (but at the same time, the X-men are living large and not being genocided over and over again, and more to the point the way humanity has been written in these last few years makes it hard not to understand why they're being dicks so...)

We'll see how it goes.

...by the way, has Hickman giving his thoughts on Wanda?

Cause X-Men 7 does not paint her in a very good light (and she's already being referered to as the Pretender in their files).

No, they are acting like a persecuted minority who are tired of being persecuted anymore.

their interactions with mystique are them acting like supervillains. "you have done shady shit in the past that is totally different and worse than the shady shit we have done so you are never gonna get your wife back thanks for doing this work for nothing."

like ok they cant bring her back because she will bring the whole thing down for some reason, but you instead use her as bait you will never give and make mystique want to burn the island down and honestly I'm on her side here.

Maybe you two just have different interpretations of the book and we can spare ourselves another page long argument.
