There is no hope, we are all just bags of meat waiting for the sun to blow up or global warming to flood us.
There is only chicken frittatas.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Man, I'm looking forward to Immortal Hulk 25. Hulk as the 9th universe's Galactus will be epic.
Have any of you guys read Spider-Fan.Org's recaps of Spidey Super Stories? They're so funny XD Star Jaws, The Beastly Banana, Doom's Day at the UN, and The Grand Garbage Can are my favorites.
(This series is also where the Thanoscopter came from)
EDIT: Oh, they started as live-action segments too! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spidey_Super_Stories

The Protomen enhanced my life.Ooooh I forgot to mention this today.
There was a deal at my university's book store today, buy 2 get 1 free for any graphic novel (this includes both comic books & manga).
So I ended up getting a volume of My Hero Academia & Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess annnnnnnd....... 1st volume of the most recent run of Power Man and Iron First.
I liked that comic, it was fun. Shame it got canceled.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I was browsing CBR and got alerted to a few posts that got deleted, one of them which remained quoted said that Quesada's "VP/Creative Director" credit is purely ceremonial and he has lost most of his power at the company. There's a bigger reason why he got removed as CCO too, but the person didn't go into specifics, wanting to protect his source.
Take with pinches of salt.
Turns out Star is the reality stone.
So is the Red Skull currently a clone or did the original one come back to life?
What?
Forever liveblogging the Avengers×2 The Red Skull clone is dead, but the original in Lukin's body is back.
The new character Star/Ripley Ryan is the reality stone.
Adam Warlock sent the Infinity Gems off on their own; the Time Gem merged with a man named Hector Bautista in Wolverine: Infinity Watch, and now they've revealed that the Reality Gem merged with Star/Ripley Ryan from Captain Marvel.
So I've been thinking of how to update various characters for the modern day. The best example of something like this is Miles Morales — he isn't just another version of Peter Parker, he's someone who is made to be more inclusive, more diverse, and more modern.
So I've been thinking about the Punisher and how I would create a Miles Morales-type for him. Let's see if this is any good, shall we?
Booker Abbey was an African-American soldier who served in the marines during the Second Gulf War. When he retired from active duty, he decided to marry his boyfriend, ruffling some of the feathers of his former compatriots. After being married for six months, however, he and his husband, Walter, were confronted in the park by a group of five corrupt, homophobic cops. Booker stood up to the cops, but in retaliation, they shot him and his husband. Walter died and Booker was left in a coma.
When Booker woke up, he was handcuffed in the hospital and learned that the cops had planted drugs and guns on them to make the shooting look legitimate. Escaping the hospital, he was nearly killed by one of the corrupt cops until they were shot and killed by a nearby old man, who revealed himself to be Frank Castle, the former vigilante called the Punisher.
Castle took Booker back to one of his underground bunkers and laid it out for him: there was a network of corrupt cops, cops who are racist and homophobic and xenophobic, but who stayed on the force through the cooperation of their fellow cops. Booker and his husband weren’t the first to be shot and framed and they wouldn’t be the last. Castle would go after the cops himself, but he’s getting on in age – he was born in 1950, so he’s seventy years old now – but he says he can help Booker get revenge for himself. He says that some folks – even cops – just deserve punishment.
A month later, the cops who killed Walter started dying one by one and word starts going around: the Punisher is back.
I'll admit, there's a bit of Steve Orlando's Virgil in there, but I think it could work.

But humor aside, this does sound like an interesting story.
I just say that he should be given another name and he can team up with the Punisher. I mean the guy has an interesting backstory and Punisher probably would give him a lot of sympathy.

Castle doesn't take proteges that easily though, they usually have to insist on it
Frank also isn't usually happy with people who emulate him.
And their was a black Punisher legacy, Nigel Higgins. Who eventually gave it up because all the lives he has taken eventually got to him.
I think Spider-Gwen did it best by having Frank Castle be a Cop who uses excessive force and eventually being kicked out of the force because of it.
Part of the issue people have with Cops using the Punisher symbol is the fact that Frank isn't someone that should be emulated.

Oh yeah I remember Gwen had a Cop-Punisher.
That was a pretty interesting revision of the character.
How is Gwen's doing now? She's now able to dimension hop as easy as opening a jar of pickles right?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Wasn't there another female Punisher before Rachel too? I think she was blonde.
Yep. She's attending college at Empire University in 616, which has policies in place for students from other dimensions, because of course it does. Seriously, the story of Gwen attending college in 616 is worth it for the enrollment issue alone.

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Yeah, there was also Lynn Michaels, who was known as the "Lady Punisher." I used Rachel Cole-Alves, however, because that was a better storyline.
Heh that is a ridiculously hilarious.
Like why that college, what's wrong with the colleges back in your home dimension? Also do you immediately go back home once classes are done of the day or do you commute?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."everyone in her home dimension knows who she is
So I've heard that Tigra started out as a pretty competent superheroine but became less so when she joined the Avengers. Anyone more familiar with her able to shed some light on that?
Except there were consequences, he was kicked out of the force. This Frank Castle did everything the Main universe Frank did as a cop and got kicked out of the force because of it. The story makes it very clear that this is not ok and that Frank Castle is a bad guy.
It's not glorifying Frank, it's the opposite. Even his partner turned on him because of how extreme he was.
And Gwen hates him, because she has high standards for a what a Cop should be.
If he's going to play judge, jury and executioner, it does sound like he's emulating him and it's not like he can go back to a normal life after.
I know, hence why i mentioned Nigel Higgins. And Frank is usually not the one that invites, they do so on their own, like Lynn Michaels.
And like Nigel Higgins, who ended up regretting it.
And i feel like a 70 year old Frank would tell people not to make the same mistakes he did. At the very least warning Booker first that there's no going back if he goes down that path.
That is what she does, goes straight back to her universe after classes.
And she's about to have a run in with the Jackal.

Which is why they won't honor their promise they made to Mystique to bring back Destiny.
