I mean, Unstoppable Wasp is a comic about a young girl making an effort to raise the stock of women in STEM, has Nadia dealing with her bipolar disorder, probably has a romance between two of the girls, and all of this is being written by a dude too. Why does Unstoppable Wasp resonate but not Jason Aaron's She Hulk?
I don't think it's just a matter of being "woke" as it were, I think it's how you manage to deal with social issues in your story. Unstoppable Wasp probably had the most even handed depiction of talking about The Hank Pym Moment in all of comics.

Unstoppable Wasp got cancelled because of low sales.
But the fact is rather than it being a point, it feels like this writing an excuse, a means to an end because Savage Hulk isn’t available for use.
And the fact that Pym is still defined by that moment is enough to make me want Unstoppable Wasp to stay down.

I'll quote it once and I'll quote it again.
"A good book tells you something about its characters; a bad book tells you something about its author."
I don't know about that because Jen hasn't felt at all like Hulk has historically been.
Although changing a character because you can't use another character is how we got diamond Emma Frost. Also an actual angel.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersYou really should check out Unstoppable Wasp before saying that. Apart from being a critical darling that returned due to strong TPB sales, it also appropriately deals with Hank Pym's actions without explicitly treating him as a giant piece of shit who had his soul eaten while hallucinating his friends liked him.
That poor butt monkey
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah isn't Wasp still going on after being brought back due to strong backlog sales?
Sounds better than Tony being a fucking prick about it.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's getting cancelled again but apparently was always meant to be limited to ten issues. Trades will come out and it'll get relaunched probably one last time, I think.
It might not be in the Squirrel Girl/Moon Girl bracket unfortunately.

For a book that calls itself unstoppable, it sure gets cancelled a lot.
One Strip! One Strip! Most of what I’ve seen online are sarcastic reviews of it. It’s not getting the sort of love Immortal Hulk has.
Hit the breaks, this isn't about "being political", that's ridiculous.
And the reason Unstoppable Wasp was brought back was because of strong trade sales.
And the book isn't the reason for Pym being remembered for hitting Jan that one time, so it's a little silly to take it out on this book.
Especially since Jan herself was empathetic about Pym having a mental breakdown at the time in UW. If you actually read the issue, both Jan and Jarvis stress that Hank Pym wasn't a bad guy.
Doesn't sound like you actually looked, because that isn't what i've seen. Don't just ask people inside of your bubble.

The people that like Unstoppable Wasp and gave it good trade sales aren't the kind of people that write online reviews.

I suspected as much. Jan has long since forgiven Hank.
It's other writers who forget that and insist on demonizing him.
One Strip! One Strip!Silent Majority as they say.
If its selling well then people have to like it.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Speaking as a 4chan gremlin myself, don't go to /co/ for your opinions on comics starring girls.
And I want to reinforce this; it is the single most sympathetic attempt at addressing The Slap ever, probably because instead of Tony going "YOU JERK!" it's about Jan talking about her feelings with Nadia and how it impacted her, and how she dealt with it.

They are actually and they have.
I mean, Nadia seemed pretty fun. I'm not shocked she's getting some love.
Isn't she part of the Champions now?
Edit: Speaking of the Champions, I totally want Scott to rub in the fact that his version of the team was cooler than Bobby or Warren's...and then point out that he both became a Champion before either of them and after they both founded the team at the same time.

One Strip! One Strip!Yes, but she hasn't really done much there. Most of her stuff's been in her own book. Though since that's ending, that might change.
So Aaron thinks large, muscular women can't be sexually harassed?
Maybe he assumes they just pick up the dude and give him a back breaker.
I'd watch it.
One Strip! One Strip! My guess is he wrote the opposite of what he finds attractive to make a point.
Granted, there are a lot of people that find muscle women hot but that’s neither here nor there.
Is it overstepping my boundaries if I think this sounds profoundly sexist for a dude to write about a character who was previously very open about how she enjoyed being a giant green amazon?
Comics have been a boys club for a very long time and She-Hulk was part of that, but it feels like Jason Aaron ended up saying "wanting to be sexy of your own volition makes you weak! Grow muscles!"
Just in case this was missed, I want to say it again:
I totally want Scott to rub in the fact that his version of the Champions was cooler than Bobby or Warren's...and then point out that he both became a Champion before either of them and after they both founded the team at the same time.
One Strip! One Strip! She actually beats up Ulik the internet troll for repeating some of the criticisms of Jane Foster Thor re: Thor being a name.
Also because he conquered Australia and is part of an evil alliance of evil who conquered Earth but the part of the fight we see has her beat up Ulik for saying that Thor is a name, not a title.
I wonder if its a leftover moment from the Thor book because its odd for Jen to be taking a personal stake in it.

I guess my main issue with it is that he turned a perfectly fine character into an Expy of another one simply because he couldn't use them. If you can't use the characters you want, either find someone who's already like the character in question or don't use them at all. Don't force someone with their own distinct character to be something they're not.
That and using the comic as a mouthpiece.
