I strongly suspect people won't be able to keep spoilers off Tumblr, and will ruin the game for me.
They've already done that with the anime.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I'm tempted to buy a Vita just for this but at the same time I need to see how they handle the localization first since I've heard people don't really like some of the changes they made to the first two games.
IIRC the two main games are all on Steam too.
Really? I've never heard any serious complaints about the localization, aside from the usual band of sub purists you always get. Maybe I travel in the wrong circles.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonThe first thing that comes to mind when people talk about Danganronpa localisations is that they changed Ibuki's talent from Light Music Club to Musician, but to be fair? How many people would have known what Light Music Club is?
I think the thing that people miss when complaining about the localisation is that it isn't for them. It's to sell to as wide an audience as possible, in order to make the price of localising worth it.
And then there's going from "Super High School Level" to "Ultimate". Apparently some people liked it for being incredibly cheesy. On one hand, I don't see why they're complaining about the localisation taking itself more seriously, but then again, this is the series where someone is executed into butter.
I think it's just a lot of pointless complaining. Nobody's taking away your pure, 100% translations. In fact, you're complaining that the series is being made more profitable, and more likely to get continuation in the franchise.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. As someone who is currently working translating the first game, I gotta the localization is actually pretty good despite quite a few terrible decisions.

Was that really necessary?
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. What exactly?
Yeah, I did miss the most important word of the sentece there, but that was not on purpose. I don't hate the localization. All the stuff I disagree with is very minor and I think they did a great job keep each characters' speech patterns as unique as they should.

If you have an issue with the translation, fine. But don't make a sentence and then deliberately leave out words.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. The demo has been datamined, and I have not looked into it myself but apparently people have been able to determine quite a few deaths from what was found there. If you don't want to be spoiled, it's best to cut yourself off from the fandom now.
Thanks for the warning.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonNo need to worry. Black Dragon Hunt already stated she is not telling anything about the datamined content, so any spoiler you potentially see is fake.
I'd like to reiterate my earlier proposal for a separate thread for spoilers so we can discuss other stuff here without having to worry about said spoilers.
Oh God! Natural light!Please do.
I've had enough of anime spoilers being thrown at me on tumblr, I don't need it on my tvtropes threads as well.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I agree too.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonI also agree especially since the game is coming out in 7 days in Japan & they still haven't announced the U.S. date.
Also I finally started playing Despair Girls. Its cool actually meeting Makoto's sister & her realistic feelings of horror to the games events are pretty endearing. Now those Warriors of Hope, damn after finally seeing them live, I have to say there all a bunch of absolute little shits. Now I don't believe in corporal punishment but those kids are definitely in need of an ass-whooping I tell you what.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Keep playing. There's more to those five kids than meets the eye.
Everything is Vanity and a chase after Wind.I wouldn't worry too much about spoilers. I've been actively looking them up (I have a problem) and I have only found one solid thing and it's so minor that it might not even count. There are plenty of false spoilers out there however, so even if you do come across something, there's no guarantee it's real.
This song needs more love. The subreddit is driving itself into despair over fake spoilers right about now. No one knows what's real.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonWell, as long as there's no real spoilers out there yet, before I go dark there's no harm in giving one last round of blind predictions to look back on and laugh later: Shuichi will be the mastermind. Survivors will be Kaede, Maki, Himiko, Kokichi, and either Gonta or Ryoma (to break either the Big Guy Fatality Syndrome or Nonstandard Character Design death streaks).
I wrote a complete prediction and I'm looking forward to see how hilariously wrong I'll be.
Whoa. Those are some very interesting predictions.
But I have a question: how would your version of Chapter 6 work in a NISA localisation, with the inevitable shift to First-Name Basis?

Everything is Vanity and a chase after Wind.Just like did with Ultra Despair Girls, I did not write with the localization in mind. But not really a hard problem to fix. Character speech must always be unique for each character, so applying Last-Name Basis for Amami only would be a way to set him as unique.
Speaking of First-Name Basis vs Last-Name Basis, the way Angie speaks is very unique in that she uses First-Name Basis with no honorifics for every single character and a lot of people are taking this a hint that she is not Japanese. If that's is the case, I'm very curious to how will NISA try to make it clear that she is foreigner. The usual method for that is broken English, but Angie's Japanese is completely fluent, so I want her to have a fluent English in the localization as well.
Hmm...perhaps a change in nationality, and have her mix in some words in her native language?
Anyway, those are some fun predictions, though I do have one question - why exactly do the two in Chapter 5 kill each other?

Oh God! Natural light!Well I didn't think of motives for any case except Saihara's. But considering Sasaki's comment, I'm predicting Ki-bo attacked first.
