Both Chugga and Masae have just made seperate, but similar statements that they wish each other well, but have gone their seperate ways and don't want to deal with each other.

Masae's message from January on the issue still stands.

When it comes to the post Star Allies videos, I think they might start uploading them next year. I suspect that Chugga has already given the go ahead, with Jon and Tim just waiting until the wounds have somewhat healed.

Another question to ask is whether or not Dan finished editing all the videos. If he didn't, would he be willing to come back?

Well, I just feel bad for all of them now. I feel like an asshole for ever doubting Emile, honestly.

TRG is going to be weird without Chugga. I always felt he was the liveliest of the three combined with his middle man of their dynamic and expertise. The future of the channel is going to take some adjustment.

Me too. I mean, at first, we all hoped this was a misunderstanding, but once it appeared like it was the worst case scenario, I turned hard. Seemed like there wasn't anything left to be said.

These kind of accusations happen so often, and usually tend to be exactly what they seem to be, so the fact that, even at the end, there were still parts of it we weren't aware of that made it more complicated is a bit of a curve ball.

It just goes to show that (1) This happens way too much; and (2) It's still possible to not know all the facts even then.

I think TRG will still be a "wait and see" situation. It's possible that the already recorded videos are more likely to be released now, but if Emile declines to resume the project, then it will likely be disbanded, with Tim and Jon possibly creating a new channel. It would a shame, because their dynamic was a unique one with Emile saying weird shit, Jon always coming in with the sarcasm, and Tim being the calm one to fall back on.

But I think they all need more time to figure out the future.

I know we should probably digress since the Chuggaa thread got locked for talking too much about the contraversy, but can I also just say that holy crap has this entire incident showcased what a genuinely kind and amazing human being Tim is?

Yes. Tim is amazing.

Anyway, it's funny comparing Chugga to Jirard the Completionist in that the latter was heavily defended at first but as the story progressed everyone saw him as nothing but a fraud. For Chuggs, it's a reverse; most other content creators either piled on him or said nothing at first, but as the story panned out, most people stopped seeing him as a creep and instead as complex man(child) with a lot of issues.

Also, I really hope the recorded videos do go up someday.

Hate to double post, but Jon said that he's willing to release the 2023 videos, but he's waiting for Chugga to heal before asking for permission.

Good to see all that work not going to waste, even though I'm only planning to watch Mario Party 9. Shame Mario Party 10 presumably won't be possible, I wanted to hear Chugga's salty screams over Bowser Party.

Also question, should we look at updating the Role-Ending Misdemeanor entry on the group's trivia page and the trope page itself for Web Original? Since the controversy ended up being way more nuanced than it seemed and people are willing to give Emile another chance (and it seems the only risk to his role ending is his decision) it seems wrong to let it keep sitting there as-is with the original context, but I'm not sure how to re-word it without seeming like I'm drama importing.

Maybe something to bring up in the ROCEJ thread?

Yeah, either that thread or the Role Ending Misdomeanor cleanup in Short Term Projects. What I’m unsure of is if we should wait two weeks before updating.
