Is Mad Lib Metal Lyrics a trope? It seems like whining about metal clichés. The examples are "X, just X" and/or "Most, if not all songs by X". I say "not a trope".

Also, it's Mad Libs, not Mad Lib.

There is certainly a common trend in metal for lyrics to not have any real meaning other than the sounds they make; indeed, some of my favorite metal songs are pretty random. Even more meaningful lyrics are often isolated; it's not uncommon for a song to be preaching several different messages with one lyric each.

A nicely condensed version of the trope would be "Metal lyrics tend to be more random than lyrics for other genres, favoring the impact of individual lines and words over an overriding meaning."

EDIT: Never mind, read the page. The problem is the examples; the page even notes that this isn't really a bad thing.

And yes, this is tropeworthy. It's like a Random Events Plot.
