Most of the time. While Vandal does Obviously Evil historical acts like be Hitler's advisor or be Vlad the Impaler, he also has aided figures like Napoleon and been figures like Julius Caesar. They're still conquerors and complex figures, but he's not always being/aiding the Villain by Default of history

Piggybacking on Hitler is such a cliche thing for immortal supervillains to do. Can't they help out a historical villain that isn't Obviously Evil in real life like the British Empire

Okay finally he's gonna talk with Steph.
The fact he hasn't talked with Steph at all and just broke up with her offscreen despite being the most important relationship in his life has been the most criticized part of Tim's new thing.

Exactly.
A lot of readers grew up on the Tim/Steph ship, so DC just ignoring it (until now) for the Tim/Bernard ship comes off as very tone-deaf.
Regardless, I can't imagine Steph will take the ghosting rather well. (Might she punch Tim about it?)

So they're moving ahead with Selina and Valmont as a couple for now. Kind of figured this was happening what with the push for Bruce and Talia again in Shadow War. Frankly I'm relieved. Clean break from King's legacy and an opportunity to rebuild it later, once people actually begin to root for them again

Speaking of Batgirls, their first arc wrapped up recently, and it's pretty good-though the art style might rub some people the wrong way. Said art style radically changes after that with a new artist, so who knows?
I saw someone complaining about Seer (the sort of anti-Oracle who forced the Batgirls to go low-tech for a while) because she's clearly not a physical threat. And personally I think that's a good thing. It's nice to have a villain who is just a world-class super hacker. She doesn't also need to know ten unarmed fighting styles or have the metahuman ability to shoot lightning or throw fireballs or manipulate cityscapes. That sort of thing starts becoming a hat on a hat.
Batman: Killing Time really isn't anything new or special (there's a lot of faffing about in timelines that doesn't become clear for issues and far too much of King's needlessly specific narration) but the art is very good.
And, as much as he reeks of Awesome New Character syndrome, I really like The Help. He's the ultimate henchman, which means of course he can fight Batman one on one and win, but he's so old-fashioned I like him simply for his style-he's essentially an evil Alfred, with his "costume" simply being white tie evening dress. He carries a sword-cane that is also a gun-cane and uses words like "Donnybrook" and "Proustian", and claims/looks to be around 100 years old.
He's the kind of villain only a pretentious writer with a history degree could make, and being most of that myself, I do enjoy the work King has put into him.
Which means I also expect him to be dead by the end of the story
