Reposting for great justice!
- Class: Imperial-I
- Ships Name: Devastator
- Unit type: Capital ship/carrier
- Manufacturer: Kuat Drive Yards
- Operator: Imperial Navy/Galactic Empire
- First deployment: Bombardment of Falleen
- Dimensions: 1,600m in length
- Weight: Never specified
- Crew: 35,000 (45,000 including Stormtrooper complement)
- Powerplant: Three Destroyer-I ion engines, four Gemon-4 ion engines for emergency or supplimentary power
- Fixed armaments:
- Sixty turbolasers of varying power
- Sixty ion cannons
- Ten tractor beams
- Additional armaments and munitions*
- Fighter Craft:
- 72 TIE/In starfighters*
- Details: The Devastator was Darth Vader's second flagship, and as such had structural alterations to allow it to carry more weapons and their ammunition. It served illustriously during the Galactic Civil War, participating in such key events as the Subjugation of Raltiir, the First Battle of Tattooine, the Battle of Poln System, and many more. The Devastator has access to hangar bays filled to the brim with the ubiquitous TIE fighter and its' smorgasbord of variants, as well as various other starships. Its' armament and equipment is quite potent. It followed normal Imperial doctrine, although at one point it was assigned to Death Squadron and Lord Vader's presence likely granted it special allowances that other vessels in the fleet may have lacked. It was eventually lost during the Battle of Endor, succumbing to sustained attack by A-Wing snubfighters and Y-Wing bombers. Crew losses are unknown.

Locking you up on radar since '09I wasn't involved in the original version of this, but I would be interested in entering with a Normandy class frigate from Mass Effect. I have a few questions/reservations, though:
- Do these have to be canon ships, or can we make one up? I'd prefer not to use the Normandy SR 1 itself, but other ships of its class have been mentioned in-canon.
- Someone from the first iteration of the game may have bags'd a Normandy/the Normandy.
So, I guess put me down as tentatively interested.

Original ships of canon classes are allowed; that's what I did.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Reserving SR-2 Normandy, Post ME 3 (assuming it's still working by the end of the game. If it's not... I'll improvise)
On second thought, an ROU would be OP for sure.

The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundFlanker, Des, you're in.
And we do allow OC versions of already exisiting ships. I'm tentative about custom OC ships, we'll handle that as it happens. Masked and Dangerous played the SR 2 Normandy in the last version of this RPG, so the Normandy itself is reserved.
Speaking of ships:
- Class: Excelsior Refit◊
- Ships Name: USS Knight. NCC-24500
- Unit type: Battlecruiser/Explorer
- Manufacturer: Starfleet San Francisco Fleet Yards
- Operator: United Federation of Planets Starfleet

As time went on, over a decade later, a refit to the Excelsior was built, first in the Enterprise-B. The class continued with Starfleet for over a century, becoming the workhorse of the fleet eventually. Surpassed in power and prestige by newer vessels, the Excelsior continues to endure. By the time of the breakdown in relations between the Klingon Empire and the Federation, the Excelsior was slightly long in the tooth, but still packing a wallop. With four torpedo launchers forward, the Excelsior Refit has a massive first strike capacity. Currently under the command of Captain Alexander Sunder, the vessel was investigating reports of a Klingon strike force attacking convoys on the outskirts of the Federation.

You're in Deadbeat. And my signup list looks a little weird. Every show so far starts with Star
Class: Normandy
Ships Name: Normandy SR-2
Unit type: Stealth Frigate, Mobile Command Center
Manufacturer: Cereberus, retrofitted by Systems Alliance
Operator: Systems Alliance
First deployment: 2185
Dimensions: (estimated) 250 meters tip to thruster. 180 meter wingspan
Weight: N/A
Powerplant: Nuclear Fusion, with H Fuel cells for back up power. Tantalus Drive Core allows the Normandy to move without using heat emmitting thrusters, thus creating stealth in space.
Fixed armaments:
- GARDIAN Point Defense Lasers (Port and starboard, concealed under hall in rear of deck two. Good for short engagements, but with poor range and lasting power)
- Twin Javelin Disruptor Torpedoes (Mounted next to primary engines, magazine size is twenty)
- Thanix Magnetic-Hydrodynamic Cannon (Spinal mounted on deck three. Can fire regular mass accelerator rounds or liquid metal at .13c)
Fighters: UT-47a Kodiak Stealth Drop Shuttle (Holds twelve, twin mass accelerator cannon mounted on belly). Normandy has two.

- Class: Imperator-class Carrier◊.
- Ships Name: SCS Independence.
- Unit type: Strikecraft carrier
- Manufacturer: Hagarakh Shipyards
- Operator: Spredronian Navy
- First deployment: CE 3132 by Spredronian standards, with the SCS Imperator's keel laid and launched.
- Dimensions: Unknown, but the carrier is smaller than you'd think it to be.
- Weight: 121,000 tons.
- Crew: 3000 - 1500 are regular crew, whereas the other 1500 crew are nonspecialized joint-ops that can be assigned to whatever ships are required.
- Powerplant: Nuclear fusion drive, which vents high-energy plasma through a magnetic bottle located in the rear of the ship to provide thrust.
- Fixed armaments: Four medium-class mass driver turrets, utilizing kinetic railguns to launch slugs of matter at targets.
- Fighter Craft: As of the start the Independence has a standard fightercraft escort. However, Details explains why this number is subject to change:
- Total strikecraft as of entrance is 35 (25 fighters and 10 corvettes). Two additional vehicles are carried.
- 13 Blade Mk. V interceptors◊, equipped with twin kinetic autoguns.
- 12 Thunderbolt attack bombers◊, equipped with plasma bomb launchers.
- 4 Tempest multi-gun corvettes◊, equipped with six independently tracking kinetic autocannons
- 6 Porter Mk. II salvage corvettes◊, equipped with one kinetic autocannon for defense, magnets, and a suite of capture technology designed to bring ships back to shipyard-type vessels
- 2 Providence-class resource collectors◊, carrying phased disassembler arrays to harvest asteroids.
- Total strikecraft as of entrance is 35 (25 fighters and 10 corvettes). Two additional vehicles are carried.
- Details: The Imperator-class was constructed as a requirement for the Spredronian combat fleet, which needed a strikecraft carrier capable of storing and attending to strikecraft. In the end, the applicant by Hagarakh Shipyards, the Imperator-class, won out, and the Spredronians accepted it into their navy as their official carrier. The primary reason for its victory was how Hagarakh managed to utilize the same phased disassembler array technology, used previously in shipyards, and shrunk it down to a scale where it could build and repair fightercraft, allowing Imperators, as long as they have the Resource Units and joint-ops crew to do so, to act as mobile fleets and task forces. Though standard protocol calls for an escort of two Revelation-class Destroyers/Perdition-class Missile Destroyers and a single Avatar-class Heavy Cruiser, the Independence is a newly laid ship in a position with no escort, when it miscalculated an FTL jump. It has a full compliment of crew and enough RUs for decent strikecraft building. The full capacity of a Carrier is 75 strikecraft - 50 fighters and 25 corvettes.
- Crew: Captain Josephine Taylor is the only crewmember I plan on having at the moment, as I forget the rest. However, positions of Weapons, Strikecraft Command, Pilot, Engineer, and other roles can be filled as needed.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Hm, I wonder: Can I play both the Liberty and the Storm Wind at the same time?
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundI thought that was your intention already.
Actually, no, but when I saw both of them in the first post I thought 'Sure, Why Not?, it's going to be fun'. So I assume that's OK with you.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundThe reason I added the special forces (my multiplayer characters, by the way), was so I could have someone other then Shepard to send into combat, someone who may actually die.
Found this◊ and I think it will come in handy for those of us who try to remember how big each of our ships really is.
And it clearly shows why I don't allow ships bigger than 3000-4000 meters. It just dwarfs the rest of us. I do have a minor nitpick in that they have the Excelsior size wrong >.>
It should be 511 meters, not 465
Plus it doesn't have any Stargate ships on there; for reference, though, an F-304 class vessel is about the same size as the NX-01.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Well, the Liberty's already there, and the Storm Wind is about as large as that acclamator-class, a bit shorter perhaps.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundDo we have to play as ships from existing franchises? I just wonder cause I write sci-fi myself, so, yeah...
Assuming we gave our own ship/fleets substantial weaknesses, of course.

I do allow original storylines and ships, as I allow OC ships from existing franchises.
It just depends on the quality of the entry. So what exactly do you have in mind?
Hey, if original story-lines are allowed, I could submit one of my ships from a Free Space mod that I'm (planning on eventually) making:
- Class: Io-Class Destroyer
- Ships Name: UAN Linare
- Unit type: Hybrid Capital/Carrier (Mostly intended for anti-capital and strike forces)
- Manufacturer: Sigma Astronautical
- Operator: United Terran Astronomical Navy (UAN)
- First deployment: Battle of Vega (2164)
- Dimensions: ~700m length, ~400m width, ~300m height
- Weight: ~215,000 metric tons
- Crew: ~5000 (including command, support, maintenance, fighter pilots, and special forces - no dedicated troops otherwise)
- Powerplant: 3 Deuterium Fusion Reactors + 3 Emergency Fission Backup Reactors
- Engines:
- Subspace Jump Drive
- 4 Fusion Rocket Main Sublight Engines
- 32 Ion Maneuvering Thrusters
- Defenses:
- Heavy T-Kar Armor Interwoven Plating (with reflective layers to defend against normal lasers - no effect on other types of energy weapons)
- 12 Force Shield Emitters (Effective against kinetic, missile, or fighter weaponry, either deflecting or shredding incoming objects to dust, but most energy weapons penetrate it)
- Fixed armaments:
- 8 Heavy Anti-Capital-Ship Railguns
- 6 AAA Beams
- 6 AAA Flak Cannons
- 6 Missile Launchers (3 AAA, 3 Anti-Ship)
- 2 Force Emitters - function like tractor beams that can push or pull, and can also be focused to act like plasma cutters (doesn't really do much damage, but can be used to whack fighters around)
- AAA armaments are usually used for point defense against fighters or missiles, but can attack larger objects (with comparatively low effectiveness)
- Fighter Craft:
- 90 Space Superiority Fighters
- 30 Bombers
- 10 Support/Repair ships
- (And an assortment of automated repair, scout, and probe drones)
- 3 Fighter Launch Bays (and an additional drone launch tube)
- Details: Launched in early 2164 to help defend Vega, the UAN Linare is a relatively new ship, but has proven herself capable in battle. One of the new Io-Class destroyers, she strikes a compromise between pure anti-capital ship armament and fighter complement. Primarily intended to work in strike groups with Carrier support, the new Io-class destroyers are a core part of our evolving strategy. The Linare is commanded by Captain Ramanathan, and has a special forces strike division lead by Lt. Cmdr. Harrison. As well, through the Inter-Species Alliance Cooperative Exchange Program, Vice Imperator P'jwakh of the Hxaons, and Ambassador Ivin of the Vencarans are also present to observe and advise.
- Notes: Due to a large amount of automation, AI-like systems, and genetic enhancement, crew requirements are reduced, and the humans from this timeline are able to react much faster and with much more accurate aim than today's humans.
If we can make stuff up does that mean I can make a pony cruiser? Eh? Eh?
I'm only half kidding here.
♌Due to the precise details of the ending of Mass Effect 3, I may have to scrap the Normandy, and switch to another series that has caught my interest recently.
Which one?
"Yup. That tasted purple."Honorverse. I'm gonna do the RMS Werewolf
Alright, this is the second signup sheet for Lost Among the Stars when it reboots. You are the captain of a vessel from one of the countless science fiction universes pulled into a solar system filled with debris, dying planets, wrecked space stations and other hazards. You must survive against not only the threats that come with this system, but also other vessels which have been pulled here.
Unlike before, I am not forcing any teamups, so its open season...
Now, I will state restrictions. The absolute maximum length of any starship in this game is 4000 meters. That's four kilometers. That should be plenty long enough. Also, I'd like it if we didn't have any super weapons (So no Super Lasers, etc).
