Oppressed minority revolution? We have that. It's called indie gaming.
Like many such revolutions, it is unfortunately plagued by opportunists and assholes, but has a lot of sincere folks too.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I decided to google ninja. Sure enough, Google shows me pictures of the blue-haired Fortnite gentleman.
Guess that's another reason to stick with DuckDuckGo for my googling, since that shows me... motorbikes for some reason.

Ukrainian Red CrossY'know, Jim said that ninjas would probably be offended about that, but I don't think so.
Actual ninja thrive on invisibility. They don't want publicity. They're all about blending in and not being noticed.
So I think they'd actually be cool with people going, "Ninja? You mean the Fortnite guy?" Yes. The Fortnite guy. You go look that way and watch his video while I prepare this cutlery....
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Real ninja are those Japanese stagehands at plays. You tune them out and forget they're there, the they do their job
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowActually, real ninjas were guerillas.
Ukrainian Red CrossReal ninjas weren't that great, mostly due to the necessities and tribulations of the time they were endemic to. Ninjas, much like pirates, are better in their romanticized versions than in their real ones.
I learned that everything pop culture finds cool, it's never been cool and is always misrepresented. Mostly
But yeah, as you grow older it always disappoints
Ninjas were basically just your average spies & also samurai willing to get their hands even dirtier.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."In fairness Nezumi Kozo was a pretty cool ninja even if the Robin Hood aspect was exaggerated, and GrĂ¡inne Mhaol was a pirate on the side of good (and indeed might well have been officially a privateer if she wasn't enemies with England).
Ukrainian Red CrossThis isn't apropos of anything in the video — I agree completely with Jim — but I finally looked up his intro music theme song: "Born Depressed" by Drill Queen. Holy cow, that's good. It's not what I'm usually into but it fills a certain void, and now I know the actual lyrics instead of Mondegreening what I hear in the show.
It would be amazing if he also used it in his wrestling job. I don't follow that at all other than what I see in his videos, so I don't know.
Anyway, Ninja is a little twat. If he wants to be the best at Fortnite, that's fine, but that's not how most people play games.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I dunno, sterdust's gimmick seems to me like he's not Jim at all and vice versa. Even if kayfabe is common knowledge some people like to keep gimmicks up to keep things entertainingly consistent. If he came out to "Born depressed" people would peg him as Sterling. I mean they already do but the magic'd be lost unless it was some big instory reveal.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowWell, someone should use "Born Depressed" for their wrestling gig; it's too perfect not to be used that way.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ninja is a massive asshole. There is reason why a few of the memes in regards to him is just him screaming at kids that killed him or were his teammates like a child. This is not mentioning the countless really dumb stuff he has said before nor that one controversy a while back where he refused to play with female gamers for a really stupid reason and inadvertently was encouraging misogynistic gamers
He's a bad influencer to say in the least.
He also commissioned a crappy graphic novel about himself trapped in a battle royal game.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Fuck is this shit.
That's a self-insert isekai...right? Or something similar/close enough.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I was going to say that he's just some kid with more power and influence than he should have at his age and that went up to his head, but... dude's actually older than me. (Older than he looks, too. I would never have guessed 28, I wouldn't even give him 20) Sooo... age doesn't necessary imply wisdom, I suppose is the lesson to be taken here.

It frustrates and concerns me that people who crave attention tend to be the ones that attract an audience of impressionable children and preteens. Creators who should know better and take care to behave around their massive audiences. they have a responsibility to their viewers, and only encourage easily angered reactions and immature behavior.
The nature of streaming makes it easy to forget not only the positive aspect where thousands if not more eyes are glued on your screen. They're performers and entertainers who directly impress their behavior on many who're watching.
"No will to break."Ninja is a mouthy asshole because he knows his time is almost up. His skills are beginning to decline, so he's trying to cause controversies to keep his name in headlines.
How the fuck this guy became so big that he is what shows up entirely when you type in ninja on Google is Goddamn baffling.
Why is this guy getting shoe deals & his own funky pops?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He got big alongside Fortnite, that's all there is to it.

"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."And then ESPN treated him like a big star and people prattled on about him being the first 'crossover star' or whatever.
Incidentally, the first time I heard about Ninja was someone's story on twitter about how their seven year old nephew, who watched Ninja and played Fortnite, started emulating Ninja's behavior and would throw massive temper tantrums whenever he lost. This apparently only stopped after the kid was banned from watching Ninja and started watching some other youtubers who weren't raging assholes.
something something opressed minority rise up joke
