I wonder what's going to happen...I feel like we're gonna end up in a Meg Ten situation.
SMT 1- Where things start off urban fantasy, the end occurs, and it's post end of the world.
Persona - group of kids try to prevent the end of the world in secret venturing into freaky places, all while dealing with their inner demons.
Devil survivor - We're blocked off from the world and society breaks down.
I have Persona4 on release day (got the music CD. It's burned in my 360 for crowning moments), played 3, and own Devil Survivor
....I'm too trope savvy. Geeze...I'm too trope savvy, or it's so broad I have to be right (aka, the south park's John Edwards method)

Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.I played Persona 1 and 2 and loved them. Gotta get around to 3 and 4 someday.
They're very different games.
Persona 3's PS 2 version (Vanilla and FES) feature the game with full 3d cutscenes with the ingame engine. Dramatically, it's better and it also contains "The Answer", a "sequel" storyline with Aegis as the main character. I hear it's HARDER then person 3's normal story.
Gameplay wise, you only control the actions of the Player character. You can only suggest strategies to the other party members. (yyeeeep.). If you die, GAME OVER (yeeep).
Persona 3 PSP brings it down to a visual novel style, contains the most updates, and allows you to flip the story by playing as a girl (and romancing the guys, and saving a certain someone). Marget, A bonus boss of P4 is at the end of a new hard dungon. (also, Elizabeth gets a Gender-fliped expy to replace her if you play the girl). "The Answer" is not present here, and the Girl PC is the replacement of that.
Gameplay is Persona 4's. The same, but you control all the party members (So much better).
Persona 4 has the normal version (which I own) and Persona 4: The golden on the upcoming Sony Vita, which adds a character to the roster and probably a ton of other better bells and whistles to make it worth getting a Vita.

- Troper: Rareitor
- Gender: Male

- Required Secondary Powers: unaffected by airborne toxins or lack of oxigen
- 2012 Belief: Galactic Eldritch Abomination engulfing and destroying the universe (think Galactus from the Fantastic 4 vs Silver Surfer movie, but bigger).
- Appearance: Tan skin, buzz cut black hair, expressive green eyes, almost permanent pleased or smiling expression.

- Talents: Good stamina, optimistic outlook on life
- Flaws: tends to be too trusting, No Sense of Personal Space
- Backstory: He's had an average family life as an only child, but with caring parents who gave him much freedom when it came to doing his own thing. He has become a happy kid, who can't help but jaunt around for the heck of it if the chance to do so appears. Both his parents work at big businesses, but don't intend for their son to follow their example.
- Other: No Indoor Voice
opinions, critiques? yes please

OH GOD WHY AM I A CAR!? - ForzareSeems alright but those secondary powers can only count while he's in smoke form.
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comSmoke form?
Hm, I might have worded that wrong. I didn't intend for him to be able to actually transform into smoke, just be more of a living industrial -or any sort of really- chimney that produces and manipulates smoke (of varying types). This is mostly because I thought that would pretty much be a game breaker, that make sense?
OH GOD WHY AM I A CAR!? - ForzareOh well in that case it works fine :3
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comI did think about making him float in clouds of smoke after a while, but also thought it didn't make much sense
By the way, will be posting tomorrow at the earliest, see ya. -thud-

- Appearance: Short, medium length brown hair slightly dark skin.
- Personality: A bit of a split personality. Sometimes a calm intelectual and other times an annoying moron.
- Talents: Logical thinking
- Flaws: Easily stressed and not good at socializing

import signatureFinally managed to get some off time to think up a character... though I don't think I'll be joining you guys at the club anytime soon.
Name: Shiro Shirakawa
Gender: Male
Age: 16 (2012 is his junior year)
Appearance: Black eyes. Sharp facial features. Pretty tall, in the high seventies. Medium-long brown hair. Most of it is at the back. Enough to be somewhat messy.
Ability: Hammerspace. The vanilla, no-nonsense kind. In other words, the ability to put away something into nothing and take it out without ill effect. He has to touch the object with his hands. Has concentration requirements as well as mass limits. Starts out as small as perhaps an eraser or a piece of paper.
2012 belief: A kind of spacetime singularity. Similar, but not exactly, to the hypothetical Big Crunch. An event when everything in the universe collapses into a space smaller than an infinitesimal point, a pinprick so small that it cannot be said to even exist or not. A pointless idea born from idle daydreaming. Whether or not it is a valid hypothesis or even physically possible is of little concern to him. He doesn’t really believe in it. It’s simply a mild fascination.
Clubs: Drama, Literature, Student Council, Tea Ceremony and Archery. Somehow, he managed to convince the school to let him join the last two at the start of his junior year.
He's the treasurer of the Student Council, on the rationale that rich people wouldn't bother with cooking books to steal money from an ordinary high school student council's petty coffers. On paper, it sounds impressive but it is more like a clerical position since he doesn't even have the power to allocate funds. He dislikes that something so shallow got him into the Student Council, though he at least does the job properly; on principle, as well as in the hopes that the president will give him responsibilities less insipid than filling out ledger entries.
One would think that he would be insanely busy… but he treats the Literature Club like a lounge and his attendance of the Drama Club with irreverence. Before he abruptly joined the Archery and Tea Ceremony club, he used to be a lot more involved in them. Otherwise very serious about his extracurricular activities.
Backstory: Comes from an upper-class family. He has an older sister whom he is on somewhat bad terms with. As his entire family has been overseas since he enrolled, he lives alone in a studio apartment near Kyouto High instead of the family mansion. He gets an allowance disproportionate for an ordinary high school student but otherwise manages everything himself.
Personality: Usually quite sincere but has recently become somewhat dry and sarcastic. He used to be a rather carefree person in middle school before independence and school responsibilities dampened his free-spiritedness somewhat. Because of his family’s perennial absence and his wealthy background, he takes to his socio-emotional needs more than most people. Friendly platonic-wise but tends to go through intimate relationships like a knife through butter. A lot of times. As of summer break of his junior year, he is currently going out with someone from the Archery club — and has kept at it for a few months. A personal record.

By the way, what's the current date of the RP? I'm honestly confused.

It's just turned to 12/20/2012, in the RP but new posting will be closed until we time skip until the next day. Everyone will just Remember the New Guy?.
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comSo, I have computer access again, and I've written up my character:
- Name: Quinn Barksdale
- Troper: deathpigeon
- Age: 16
- Clubs: Tautology club, founder, president.
- Power/change: Invisibility.
- 2012 Belief: Nothing out of the ordinary will happen, or, if something does, it's a complete coincidence.
- Appearance: Quinn isn't exactly ugly, but she's hardly attractive. She has rather messy black shoulder-length hair. She wears dirty glasses, the bridge of which is crudely fixed with electrical tape. She's medium height. When not in her school uniform, she wears comfortable clothes, generally a t-shirt and sweatpants. Around her parents, she wears a pure silver cross on a pure silver chain, but she generally keeps it out of view.
- Personality: Quinn is sarcastic and cynical. She dislikes most people. Most things she finds boring (school, friends, relationships, personal appearance, etc.), she hates (other people, hard work, sports, the outdoors, etc.), or both (pets, most modern music, anything to do with her parents except such as religion, politics, parties, business, etc.). Her likesare few and far between, pretty much just politics (the only like she shares with her family, though their views differ, books, good ones, at least, fencing, and the 2012 club, she has no idea why, though but she does grant them, and them alone, the privileges of her attention, and the consistently use of sentences longer than two words.
- Talents: Fencing, sarcasm, silence, hate.
- Flaws: Sarcasm, silence, hate, anti-social, lazy, apathetic.
- Backstory: Since she was young, Quinn’s parents have told her that she was the child they never meant to have, and they only conceived her in a moment of weakness. Yeah, they’re kind of dicks like that. Her parents are the sort of born-again Christians that even other born-again Christians hate. Other than giving her food, sending her to school, dragging her along with them to church, and telling her how much of a mistake having her was, they have rarely, if ever, gave her any attention. As such, she quickly learned to keep her mouth shut around her parents, and to hate her parents, both of which she quickly applied to absolutely every other part of life. Her only respite was school, but even school began to get boring and repetitive for her, and, by High School, she began to look for other methods to relieve her boredom, stumbling upon the 2012 club almost by accident, and finding it interesting enough for her to stay, and give it her full attention. She quickly found herself enjoying the club, and even not hating some of the people there.
- Other: Half of this was done on my phone, so please tell me if you see any typos.
Can I still enter this?
accepted, its the next day at school and everyone is starting to find their powers.
