I have heard speculation that the controversy caused by Epcot is why they're trying to make Arendelle a Norwegian city-state.
Olafs Frozen Adventure has a character baking a cake in the shape of Norway, so there is at least a canonical relation between Arendelle and Norway. Though the fact that the country is not called Arendelle would support the idea that it's only a part of it.
I never managed to identify where in Europe is Corona supposed to be exactly, apart from the fact that the name irresistibly reminds me of a brand of beer.

Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.The novelization has it as Arendelle which makes me think it was a last minute change.
Had a gingerbread house building contest at my workplace last week.
Our house is kawaii as fuck.
I want that Elsa figure.
The nendoroid? It's available on Amazon currently.
My wife gave me the Anna one also, which comes with a set of linked Elsa arms so you can pose them holding hands.
Anyone else find that these things are much cuter looking than most of the official Disney merch, including the plushes?
I agree (by the way, love your gingerbread house). Most of the Frozen plushies or dolls I have seen tend to have only a passing resemblance with the characters they are supposed to represent.
While we are about it, I take the opportunity to link my two favourite Frozen fanarts I have found so far (yes, I keep occasionally looking for these five years after Frozen was released).
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.With the sequel coming out in less than a year I have to wonder when it'll get an actual title and start being marketed.
I'm surprised nothing has leaked yet. Stuff for Frozen leaked years in advance. I remember following it back when all we had was the long-haired Snow Queen concept art.
SO far all we got was a Ralph-roll.
I have seen a rumour that we'll be getting a trailer this month, but I think it might have been false, given how far in we are.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver! The one piece of info I had had so far was that the movie release date had been set forward by a week (this was announced somewhere in November) and that it would be about Elsa and Anna travelling away from Arendelle (though I don't know how accurate that one was supposed to be).
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.The only thing I've heard is vague "rumors" (with extra quotation marks) about Elsa's love life.
I'm really not looking forward to whatever becomes of that topic, honestly. If she gets shipped with anyone it'll cause a ruckus, if she doesn't get shipped with anyone it'll cause a ruckus. I think that was one of the main reasons I was wary of an official, canonical sequel to Frozen instead of semi-canon supplementary material.
Who's going to bet they'll introduce another character with elemental powers as a foil to Elsa? Maybe they'll with Earth powers or fire as those are really visual powers, plus you can make jokes about them being a hothead or "Down to Earth"

New theme music also a boxI'd really like the story not to be about Elsa getting a love interest. Or, for that matter, not to be about Hans' redemption. I keep hoping we could have something original, unexpected, and full of sisterly fluff.
(Funny typo I just made while editing this post: writing Frozen Z instead of Frozen 2... and now I have some new fanfic ideas )
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.See, the rumour going around about Elsa getting a love interest is specifying that the love interest will be female.
Which, you have to admit, would be ballsy of Disney. That would get the movie shut out of a dozen countries, and some sections of society would boycott it.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Yeah that's too progressive for Disney, still hope springs eternal..
New theme music also a boxWasn't oaken gay? He had his family in the sauna, a husband and kids I think.

see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532They did confirm in Olaf's Frozen Adventure that the family seen in the sauna was Oaken's but never confirmed that he is married or in a relationship with anyone. Disney's leaving it as "Er, there just happens to be a man among them who looks around Oaken's age..."

They could bring more elements from the original tale into the movie, like that witch that has it always be spring in her realm. She would be a good character for an antagonist to be based on.
Would there be any point in giving Elsa any kind of romantic partner?
Well yes actually since she's only Disney princess not in a relationship with someone, which leaves her as the odd one out
- Yes I know she's technically a queen shush
There's no "Technically" about it. She is a Queen!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. She's part of the disney princess line for you know, princesses
New theme music also a box
Wait, Disney is trying to retcon 'Frozen = Norway'? Why??? The fucking ride is even in their Norway part of Epcot!
Though, if you mean Tangled, that one always felt very German or French to me, quite possibly on the border or intentionally ambiguous (though 'Corona' is a Spanish word). Mother Gothel's costume and her tower are VERY outdated in style by seem much more German in influence, which makes sense with her ageless imortal character; Of course she'd be way out of date!
Meanwhile, Corona's castle was apparently inspired by Mont-Saint-Michel in France which is a monestary that sits on a rock in the sand during low tide, but the water will rise during high tide and make it and island. I believe the directors/writers/production staff suggested that the film takes place somewhere between 1700s-1800s due to the reference of musicians of that time, presence of a piano in the Snuggly Duckling, and the palace guard armor. Fandom tends to set it around then too. I think 1820s (late Regency) is the furthest anyone really pushes it.
