Frozen (Disney film)

Frozen does have a vaguely ominous ring to it.

It is just as descriptive as Cool and appeals to boys more. Not a big fan of half assed solutions, myself.

Well, with the way everyone's talking, this is looking to be 2013 - let me repeat that. 2013's most disappointing film...

And all because it's in CGI. I'm just waiting for more complaints when it becomes that.

2013's most disappointing film will be Fast Six. Partly because it's an unneeded sequel to a series that wasn't good to begin with.

I'm glad SOMEONE sees I'm trying to be sarcastic and think most of these complaints are BS IMHO! But haters gonna hate!

You hate CGI that much? don't see it ans stop ruining what could turn out to be something worth a trip to the movies for once.

How do you know it will be in CG?

Nothing's been announced yet but I believe it could be a CG project, seeing as how Disney has been trying to slowly destroy 2D animation again by releasing their hand-drawn films at a time when they won't make much money. I mean, what other explanation is there for releasing Winnie The Pooh on the same day as the last Harry Potter???

Because it appeals to the younger crowd who can't see Harry Potter due to scaryness?

They announced they would release a hand-drawn film every 2 years. With Winnie-The-Pooh being released earlier this year, 2013 seems like an ideal time to make another.

Winnie the Pooh was only distributed theatrically to promote the DVD release (since the Pooh movies do better on DVD than in theatres). Also, the decision to not put much promotional money into the film was more because of the disappointing box office internationally (where it had tougher competition in the form of Rio and Hop).

@Shota: It's going to be CGI, they have heavy weight 2D animators like Mark Henn doing pencil tests to help the CGI animators, but is going to be CGI.

Well, that's okay. It could look beautiful in CG.

I can't wait for people to start hating it based on the name, CGI, and obviously edited trailers once they come out.

I'll avoid posting online about it, then.

Tangled was super great looking, so I'm not worried a bit.

At this point, I almost... really don't give a shit. Like I said, "Haters gonna Hate."

However, I don't blame the haters (Disney and the world at large could use more hand-drawn shit if possible, if only to curb CGI over-saturation everywhere).

All that complaining about how we need more hand-drawn fare aside, if this flick turns out good, it's just more justification for me to say, "Haters gonna Hate", like the fucking unsatisfied idiots I refuse to ever associate with as a fan of any kind of animation!
