Marcia - Near's Room
I g-got something that'll w-wake you up r-real good.
(Marcia looks around for ingredients. If there are any ingredients, Marcia attempts to make a meat crust pizza for Near.)
Elderstar
…
(That is probably not remotely pareve or kosher.)
(...but. gratitude.)
Thank you so much, that is very kind of you.

T-thank you, Near. E-enjoy... (Marcia is unaware of Near's religious practices, so she honestly thought this was good for him. She enjoys a slice as a way to encourage him, taking a bite to savor its meaty goodness.)

Dorms
-The party are invited to use the elevators to head to the mall, where the game will begin, by a tinny voice on the loudspeaker-
The Game
-The elevator doors open to somewhere other than the Mall-
-It is yawning, dark chamber◊, with distant lights beyond the wall of television screens arranged in a spacious hemicircle around the elevator doors-
-Standing, directly facing the party, is a wheel-
-It is cut into various slices, each bearing a symbol-
-Head, Eye, Brain, Swords, Cup, Body, Skull, Clock, Question Mark-
-The screens are all on static, but quickly change to depict Bezalel's smiling face-
Well, good mo(u)rning, my little treasures. Excited to begin your first challenge?
-He pauses for half a second-
Of course you are.
-The wheel lights up-
Today, I shall be magnanimous. The minimum number of spins per team is three. You may spin as many times as you like above this number, if you hope to win.
-Some of the screens flash to the number three-
Please, take your time, take as much time as you need.
-Above and beyond the screens, the dark form of an audience in tiered seating is barely visible. They sit in perfect stillness-
Otherstar
-Standing by the Wheel is Liz, who is examining it carefully-
-She looks at the party as they enter-
Ah, there ya are.
Elderstar
-Mike Hawk shoots one of the screens with a magnum revolver, there is a canned laughter from the crowd-
Fuck, thought you'd never show up. Let's get this over with.
Outerstar
-Sam has effectively dissected one of the tvs and is examining its sillicon innards when she looks up-
-She looks sad-
Oh, I'm so sorry... please try to be strong, alright?
Outerstar
....?
-confused blinking-
...Eh? What's the matter? Did we already lose?
Otherstar
-Yusuke stands perplexed by the wheel-
I thought... we spun those after the challenge? Or is this how they decide the challenges?
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanElderstar
Let's d-do this...
Otherstar
(Busy getting ready)
Elderstar
"Mmm, hmm, wheels, wheels... Just a matter of the perfect amount of leverage and force to get the desired result..."
Elder Star
I'm pretty sure we're stuck with luck here Trudy
-he looks at luffy and vegeta in the other teams, yeah both teams have the advantage when it comes to spinning the wheel really hard-
LOVE IS STORED IN THE AXOLOTL!Otherstar
-studies the different results on the wheel-
So
What Precisely Do All Of These Mean
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOIElderstar
(Nods as Michael speaks, gazing a few infuriating inches to the right of Trudy's head with stern eyes.)
If a wheel could be used to receive reliable results, then it would not be used in this context at all. Being cocky is a grave mistake.

-Yusuke-
No, b'y. Whichever team spins the Wheel most wins. The teams that don't have to go at it in a dangerous challenge, and the one who loses there has to eliminate one o' theres.
-Bezalel smiles, serenely-
We'll just have to find out.
-She winks, and the crowds laugh artificially-
Elderstar
Line up and spin the fuckin' Wheel already.
-The lenses of dozens insectoid cameras glimmer in the dark overhead, watching them-
-Some of the T Vs are showing the live feed, which millions of adoring viwers are tuning into now-
Outerstar
No, no, no... you haven't lost yet. Don't worry too much, you'll be fine...
Elderstar
"Pfft, just physics, relax..."

Outerstar
...Huh....Okay, then!
-He walks right over to The Wheel-
So I just spin this, right?
-grab-
-AAAAAAAAND SPINNNNNNN-
Otherstar
...Wouldn't that mean whichever team is in the lead will always win or...
-He shakes his head-
Well, whatever. We're just spinning the wheel at least three times then?
-He walks up and gives it a SPINNNNNN-

(Wheels up with one arm, stimming with his hair with the other. Eyes that wheel like a little kestrel sizing up an ambiguous potential prey item.)
(Flips the bowfinger at the cameras.)

-Yusuke places his hand on the Wheel, and a tingle goes up his spine as he casts it-
-The Wheel turns and turns... coming to rest on-
-the Eye-
-All the screens flash, showing Eyes-
-Bezalel pops out from behind the Wheel, grinning-
Oh, aren't you lucky? Well, the Eye is a fairly straightforward option, especially this early in the game. You simply have to sacrifice some of your vision. Let's say... color!
Of course, if you enjoy the sight of a sunset, you could always make a penalty spin (which won't count to your total) and try for another one.
-Liz watches, jaw tense-
Elderstar
-The Wheel turns, coming to rest on-
-Hand-
-Ammon walks out from behind the Wheel-
At this stage in the Game, landing on Hand requires the loss of some measure of dexterity. This can be given in the abstract, but at a greater general effect, or in the form of first joint of one of your fingers. It won't be painful, either way.
You may choose to spin again if you wish to avoid this sacrifice, but it will come at a cost.
-He frowns, deeply, at Near-
Please, do not. Children watch this program, and profanity is damaging to their innocent ears.
Outerstar
-The Wheel turns, coming to rest on-
-Skull-
-Steph trips out from behind the Wheel-
Shitfuck sh— I'm fine.
-She straightens herself out, trying to look cool and sinister as she looks at the Wheel-
Oh.... ohhhhh... ohohohoho... bad luck, Luffy.
Literally. The skull is just a blanket bad luck.
Elderstar
"..."
She snorts
"Myeh. It's a debuff to my biological dump stat, that's perfectly fine by me."
Outerstar
.....Huh??
-He looks at Steph-
....Really? I'm unlucky now?
-He folds his arms, pondering-
....Or maybe I was always unlucky, and this just meant I was pre-ordained to get the Bad Luck Symbol....
-Looks back up at Steph-
Well, whatever- so what happens to me?
Elderstar
Uhhhhhh Trudy? It might be permenant...

Elderstar
Gonna assume you don't have a lot of those to lose.
LOVE IS STORED IN THE AXOLOTL!Elderstar
Very well.
(Looks into the camera, solemnly.)
Don't be like me, children. I had a normal-looking face once... and then I began to use profanities, and it all went downhill from there.
(Hesitates a few hair-twirling seconds... before spinning, with all his meager strength.)

I see... so we have to go into the game with a minimum of three disadvantages...
(Velvet walks up to the wheel, and she spins)
Outerstar
(Sol groans at what Luffy’s spin lands on)
Damn it, so they’re gonna stick us with three penalties from the start, huh?
(he peruses that wheel)
Ah, fuck it.
(he spins it, he can afford a debuff)
