"It has plenty of juicy details," I noted to Dizzy. "It says Sub-Zero could have ice powers. Bakugou has explosive powers. Dr. Robotnik might be dangerous enough if we warrant his wrath. He did endanger the multiverse. Dr. Breen is a pushover because he's a drunkard who ran a mall after he survived a fight against Soraya Montenegro. Shantae is a half-Genie, which means humans can breed with other species.This also means they can breed with us. But what are the odds of a human sympathizer out there willing to romance a Gear?]"

"Maybe I was human]," I replied back to Malpercio. "But the journal mentions a Professor Hoffmann as my creator? Was the one who did this to me?"

...Perhaps this Hoffmann is their leader. He sounds like a bastard, and I already don't like the sound of this "Breen"...

"We should keep on the lookout for 'Dr. Robotnik' too. If he's bad enough that even the humans are fighting him, he...could be something worse. And Shantae's a...'half-genie?' So she's probably a human but with more abilities than most. This isn't good..."

(Reclines after sucking down another fish, coiling her lower body up.)

Whenever we find them, we'll have to keep on our guard. Even if there are weak ones among their ranks like Breen... What they did to us, they must have caught us off our guard. As Malpercio says, they must be formidable in their own right.

I understand how you feel. I've had my doubts about this war too.

The truth is, in war we can't make assumptions about anyone. We need to remain cautious.

(indeed, running is going to prove difficult when they're completely surrounded by worms, particularly with one worm, in particular, emerging in front of N and going in to wrap itself around her legs)

(the worms from below emerge, but Suzy and Shantae playing whack-a-worm manage to keep them down)

(meanwhile, the knights decapitate a few of the worms, slowly working on cutting an opening to run)

(the woman puts Travis down and dusts him off)

(she said that way too enthusiastically, almost like she's deliberately acting out the genki girl archetype, you seein' this Travis?)

(Shotaro's double stomp and Musashi's sword slash collectively cause Pot to release Logan, but this in turn allows him to erect another barrier to block the incoming beams of heat)

(Min-Marahir's sword lands on his barrier as well, but he can't keep this defense up forever...)

(Pot reached back and attempted to get a good grip on the tendrils accosting him, hoping to pull them off with his sheer strength and yanking Lapis into the heart of the battle)

"Nngh...gonna kick myself for this later..."

-Shantae runs for N, throwing a trio of fireballs at the worm attacking her-

"Triple Fireball!"

Hanger

-He's friggin' Potempkin of course he's gonna break those "chains"-

The tendrils break apart in a wet splash and Lapis entered the hanger overhead, flying above him and summoning up more from the ocean below to combat this mountain of a man.

-You bet your ass I'm seeing this!-

I'm fired up, now! That was just a warmup, the real round 1 begins here!!

-He CHARGES for Pot with a Warrior's Battlecry, slashing his lasery blade at Pot's heels-

The others continued to speculate about the journal's contents for a bit while talking about follies of humanity and even asked about what FBI does. From what I could glean from my short memory-span, I think it means Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“It's short for Federal Bureau of Investigation, I believe. From what my memories can tell me, a bunch of Gears formed this agency and they were assigned to a case where a human called Beefus Weaver found the strength to take on Gears and kill us.”

Huh...? Where am I? Why am I in a Persian desert? What happened to my almighty robotic form?And why in the Lord's name are these sandworms hungry for robot flesh?!

I quickly tried running away from them, but they still managed to keep pace with me. I screamed like a girl in an attempt at getting someone to help me.
