Once again, Thats simply your Opinion Myopia trying to look for positive reviews then the ones that actually criticize the game and its various elements that don't work, while still priasing stuff that does (Visuals, performance).

I will said is more than the star wars bomb efect is passing* and people can more calmy make reviews that can disect the problem here and there with easy.

Yeah, for every person out there with reasonable takes, there are those who hate on the game for petty reasons, like Abby being muscular, Lev being transexual, Ellie being playable ETC.

Getting mad about Ellie being playable in particular is a real headscratcher. Were people just as pissed about Clementine replacing Lee after the first season of Telltale's Walking Dead?

Legit, there are comments saying they wanted Joel to be playable and Ellie wasn't as fun to play as.

And here I thought the problem was "too much Abby, not enough Ellie."

I would have liked to play as Tommy - parts of TLOU 2 you spend just following his carnage, and considering how much Ellie and Dina had to go through, it kind of bugs me how Tommy has his own Roaring Rampage of Revenge that we eventually catch up with. It almost feels pushed to the side.

Most of the dumbest hate i've seen is directed to Abby and her physique. Also everything involving Anita Sarkeesian somehow, because she decided one day that Joel was to catch a fatal case of golf because he is a white male. Or that's what the internet tells me every day

Her talks really resonated with Neil and he is good friends with her. That still doesn't mean that Neil will suddenly bow to the almighty Anita and kill Joel because his goddess told him to, that's just silly internet conspiracy theory.

Neil always wanted to kill Joel, the problem is the execution, not some political agenda bullshit. Though yeah ND does have some political agenda but that's not really relevant to TLOU 2's problems

If you're not for anything then you are only against something. It happens in politics when even after they "win", a certain group keeps bringing up their enemies because they have no plans to do anything.

It's also dumb as hell as Anita Sarkesian is an Actual Pacifist who wants to promote non-violent, puzzle based games as alternatives to the constant stream of shooters as well as nihilistic murder fests.

She doesn't want to get rid of them but they're not her cup of tea. I can't imagine her being, "Oh yes, that's what I love to see, women protagonists being every bit as violent and horrible as toxic masculinity male heroes."

I bet any poster here five bucks it'll be that.

(I love Anita FYI and think her work is some of the best in video blogging—we can use a bit more Monkey Island and less modern military shooter, IMHO)

No, but Clementine's replacing Lee was pretty different from Ellie replacing Joel. Clementine didn't spend the rest of the series trying to avenge Lee.

Plus Lee died at the end of the first game in a way that clearly setup Clem taking over as player character. It's just a shame that Season 2 was the followup *shudders*

Re: Demongodofchaos 2, no Opinion Myopia, I have seen negative reviews for the game but initial kneejerk response is waning, mostly because they never played the game and had bad faith reviews.

Its political that LGBT people exist.

Also the existence of people of color.

Pretty much anything that isn’t white & straight is a “political statement”.

Honestly, those type of people want guys like Jai Courtney to be the main character of every single game.

I remember the salt from all the sexist gamers who complained that Naughty Dog gave Nathan Drake a daughter instead of a son. Good times.

For a more relevant example, the pearl-clutching HORROR at the DLC of the first LAST OF US where they revealed that ELLIE WAS GAY!

I think much of the "outrage" has to do with that movement that shall not be named and i will leave at that.

I can see why they want to keep the Mafia name regardless of the race of the protagonist. Gangsters doesn't really have much of a ring to it.

Funny that both TLOU and TWDG suffered less-favorably received sequels though. I guess the phrase "trapping lightning in a bottle" applies.

Season 2 of Telltale's The Walking Dead was pretty trash in my opinion. Season 3 of it was....eh? I don't really remember much if anything about it, forgettable I guess. Season 4 was the true sequel to Season 1.

Clementine isn't really comparable to Ellie. Clem can be pretty badass on her own but her story isn't remotely similar to Ellie's. Although, if Clem was put into Ellie's shoes with Lee being killed like Joel did infront of her I think that could of been interesting to see how she handled it.
