DO NOT GIVE SHIT. UFOTABLE TIEM.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI don't mind the OP song actually, although I guess I wouldn't count it amongst the greats. The animation is rather ufotable-ish.
Re watching the prequel first: Might also help to know a bit about Saber's motivations. They're somewhat explored anyway in Fate/Zero though.

Kind of off topic, but wasnt there a movie for Unlimited Blade Works recently? If so, was it good?
There was, it aired last year(? My memory's hazy on this). It's a very Compressed Adaptation, and thus skips on a lot of the exposition from the corresponding VN route.
Speaking of the first episode of Zero (HF spoilers): Wow. They went ahead and animated the original version of the crest worms and not the Realta Nua one.
Would you like to know more?Fate Zero should be comprehensible without reading FSN but you'll get spoiled like fuck.
Also, I'm not sure that I really buy that the Fate Zero Servants are better. Fifth Lancer seems a lot better than the Fourth, Fifth Berserker should be stronger than anyone but Gilgamesh. Fifth Caster is supposed to be unimpressive. I'm pretty sure Fifth Archer could hold his own against pretty much anyone. At least well enough to say that except for possibly Rider I don't think anyone would have a great advantage against him.

Watching Fate Zero will spoil you if you plan to do FSN later. At the very least you'd know who Saber and 4th!Archer is. The only FSN route that isn't really spoiled is UBW. But FZ should be completely watchable if you haven't seen FSN. Heck, at the least you won't know the forgone conclusion.

Er, right. Silly me.
Ignoring Saber, who is in both wars, Berserker should have an advantage against Archer just like he does against Gilgy. Rider can beat him, and Caster (if he summons that giant thing) is hard to take down since I don't think Archer can use any Anti-Fortress phantasms. 5th Lancer could take out 4th berserker but I don't see him taking down Alex. And Rider isn't that strong for a servant.
Alexander>Everyone except maybe Berserker.
Gilgy>Everyone except maybe Archer
Zero Berserker>Caster, Assassin, Archer, probably Rider
Zero Caster>Everyone except those who have an anti-fortress noble phantasm
Zero Lancer> Uh.... Maybe Assassin. Maybe Rider. Maybe Caster.
Zero Assassin> Maybe Assassin.

Oh come on. Discussing power levels in the Nasuverse, of all things?
I have yet to even watch the episode but Rin, Sakura and Ilya have already formed an unholy trinity of cuteness that threathens to overload my head with endorphins. Just by looking at the OP.
AAAAAAAAAAH. HAVE I FINALLY SUCCUMBED TO THE GRASP OF THE LOLICON MONSTER.
FATE/ZERO! Y U NO SUBBED YET?!
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialBy the way, I think I'm going to use class names to refer only to FSN characters and Fourth Berserker since only his identity is really a spoiler.
All in all, it's pretty even between the two wars if you ask me.
I had a big wanky post about it but then I realized no one cares. But I will say that Archer could beat Fourth Berserker because he doesn't use the bladespam that Gilgamesh does normally. Sure, Berserker can grab all the Broken Phantasms he wants, but they're just going to explode anyway. It's what they're designed to do. That isn't going to go well.

^^ But there are Engish subs on the Nico Nico Livestream.
I still haven't quite finished playing Heaven's Feel, but I just had to watch this anyway. ...just WOW! at the quality of animation and Kajiura's music <3
Little Rin is sooo cute~ *steals her*
I wonder how closely this'll follow the original Light Novels? If I remember correctly, there's three or four of them, right? That's quite a lot to adapt into 24 episodes, but I have faith in Urobuchi and ufotable!
Her eyes can only hamper beings with high magical resistance. That said, Pegasus is pretty powerful.
If we want to go by power levels... Archer could beat everyone using only Enuma Elish. The problem is that he isn't very fond of using it against unworthy foes.

Yeah, but most classes don't have that high of magical resistance. Only the three knight classes are particularly impressive there, and even then it's a pretty big hindrance. But considering Fourth Berserker's identity his magic resistance should also be pretty impressive, so include him in 'not instantly beaten.'

Well isn't this just stupid. I realise that Archer's master could just use a Command Spell saying this if he becomes bitchy about using Ea: use Enuma Elish against every other Servant and Master you fight. Poof. End of the war. Unless everyone decides not to fight head on (damn you Assassin).
It kinda feels awkward that two of the heroines are tiny while Saber is exactly the same. Didn't notice it when I read the novels.
Meh, already spoiled myself on the Nasuverse. Might as well wait for this ones Subs anyhow.
Watch SymphogearGilgamesh has a high degree of Independent Action and could thus resist orders that are spread out over a long time like that. Also, you'd need another seal to make him not kill you. Also, remember, this isn't the Fifth war. He doesn't have the impossibly huge reserves on hand that he did then.
And Tokiomi needs to save the last seal. So he'd be left with no seals to use in a pinch. Tough situation for him.
Ah... if only Gilgamesh wasn't such an arrogant prick.
I don't remember him having any ridiculously large reserve of prana. Is that even relevant? I don't remember the prana requirement for Enuma Elish being stated either.

He had huge reserves in FSN because he'd been draining the orphans. Thus, he could freely use Ea all he pleased. Seriously, that thing has to use a ton of mana. Otherwise it breaks thermodynamics, and to do that it would have to be True Magic. I'm pretty sure if he was one of the True Magic users it would have been mentioned.

Yeah, he is a dick. Nearly a Complete Monster in UBW route, especially the movie.
Watch Symphogear>implying Gilgamesh isn't the man we should all aspire to be◊

I think it might be interesting to watch the prequel before the original. Could be fun.
