I've been interested in this for a while, but I haven't really heard much about the gameplay...anyone know what it's supposed to be like, other than turn-based?
Welcome to th:|Holy crap, I never expected that this game would be localized! This is awesome!

The Protomen enhanced my life.I think the DS one is toast due to the platform being pretty dead, sadly.
I have a PS 3. U mad bros?
GOH! JII! RAH!YEEEEEEHAW!! I'm going to kiss my PS 3 when I get home.
i. hear. a. sound.FUUUUUUUUUUUUU—
The DS isn't dead yet! I'll show you!

it seem same team that make DQ
At the very least, there's still DS backwards compatability in the 3DS. Does the PS 3 version also have a big-ass book?
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaHere's hoping!
i. hear. a. sound.I think it'd HAVE to, since the game makes you go to those pages.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Heh. I have both a PS 3 and a DS, so which one it comes to doesn't matter, nor does any official European release as both consoles are region-free.
I will probably wait, though. There's plenty of other stuff to get like The Last Story, and all of those delicious games coming soon (Q4 2011 -Q2 2012. Oh, and I haven't played either of the ports mentioned. If you have played them already, replace them with Dark Souls and Sonic Generations or something.)
My standard Anime Theme song game variant rules: [Censored by ACTA]These are the people who made Dark Cloud I and II as well as Rogue Galaxy and White Knight Chronicles. Their console RP Gs usually have some issues, but they land in the upper echelon of jRPG creators. I'm looking forward to this.
EDIT: The announcement was made at a Sony event. The lack of a DS announcement might not mean anything.

Fee fi fo fum. I smell Kraft Dinner. Most excellent! I've been interested in this game for a long time. Nice to see Level 5 localizing it!
I'd be even happier if they do an American release of Inazuma Eleven but hell, that's probably not happening. A dude can dream, though!
I spread my wings, fly away. The wind sweeps me off my feet, blowing me away yeah. Trees whispering to me. I'm feeling free now.@ Freezair For A Limited Time,

The Protomen enhanced my life.Hmmm, the DS version's gameplay does sound kind of interesting, but have we found out anything on the PS 3 version's gameplay?
Welcome to th:|BOOK. I WANT BOOK.
I also kind of want to play the cell-phone prequel, if only because it's a big homage to the Mother series.

What nonsense is this? I HAVE A DS YOU SONS OF DESCOLE!
...on PS 3, but the Japanese PS 3 release is in November, so that's not such a bad release window.

I, for one, am glad Level-5 switched gears from "No localizations" to "Oh, you meant THOSE localizations! Yea, we'll get right on it!"
