Of course, now, looking at the latest pose, I find myself wondering just how much superspeed and strength Henchgirl has if she can catch and hold Maxima mid-punch... I mean even if you assume Maxima paused to grandstand, still, Henchgirl went from in front to behind to catch and hold a punch while the stone version also struck... and Maxima dodged, but still.
Max probably doesn't go full blast on speed all the time, for one it's better if everyone she faces expects her "base" speed to be a bit lower than her actual comfortable speed
"You can reply to this Message!"Well, due to the way her stat shifting works, going full blast at anything is generally poor tactics. Remember the only known way to disable her is to force her to dump everything into armor, at which point she's weak enough to just get wrestled down.
Don't forget the Fetish-Industrial Complex
Also Captain Asshat raises a good point, Max probably offers herself as fight bait. Superhero Rope-A-Dope.

"You can reply to this Message!"Also, I think either Sydney figured out how to send messages on her glasses, of some automatic thing kicked in.
Looks like someone just got Sydney's message, too.
It’s not a bad joke, but it is rather nicked from Ant-Man and the Wasp, isn’t it?
= Spindriver =I think the idea is a bit older, in varied ways. For once Miles Vorkosigan has a pretty hilarious talky reaction to truth serum as well.
After all, there's few truly original ideas.
"You can reply to this Message!"Yeah, Tintin did a similar joke waaaay before webcomics (or the Internet) even existed, or Marvel movies were a thing.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)That was pretty much where my mind went too. Or more specifically "Who the hell gave Sydney Fast-Penta?"
According to the rant we weren't the only ones with that connection
"You can reply to this Message!"Sydney's reaction is perfectly understandable
"You can reply to this Message!"I'd ask about overkill, but we've seen her do worse.
Yes but Max will still find the use of Psycho Pass bullets...not amusing
"You can reply to this Message!""There were a few comments on the previous page about how that guy's arm will be useless now. You were correct."
What's Sydney doing in that last panel? Reaching for the truth serum? Reaching for the antidote?
Memory wiper. She wants to unsee the gore.
Reaching for the mind wipe serum for some Brain Bleach

"You can reply to this Message!"So... did Sydney take the memory eraser, wake up in a room full of gore, and start puking anyway? Or is she gonna take it later?
Author blurb mentioned that they didn't let her inject the Fuggeddaboutit. I presume the counteragent Sydney mentioned must have come from Cora.
Once again, Sydney proves to be insightful without even meaning to be.
"Why would I inflict myself on somebody else?"
Hmm... Photoshopping might account for the somewhat Uncanny Valley nature of the image.
