"Since when did the Royal Thai Police had Fords for a main patrol car?"

Shinji muttered. "Last I heard they still had Toyotas and all."

"All clear out there? Ms. Akane's still with Hans and Fatima."

Mike emerged out of the bar's rear entrance.

"And tell them to bring ma lil' bear with them! I like that gun." Gramps added, still unfocused and staggering.

@Savage: We can handwave that little part. They have Corollas as a patrol car.

"I can drive." Shinji went in the driver's seat. "Mike-san, get them out."

Mike nodded. "Doctor Mishima." He called out to her. "All clear in the parking lot. And we've taken care of the policemen out here."

Akane helped Hans back towards the Humvee, and got him inside.

"Thanks, guys.", she said. "You're tough as nails, Miller: You'll live through this.", she told the German. He mumbled something in response, barely coherent. His lack of response made the CMO get hysterical: "We need to get the fuck outta here! NOW!"

"Shinji, you're driving! Medics, stabilize Miller and check Gramps' concussion! Jade, GPS, NOW! Becky, grab the gunner seat! I'm gonna get up with a Dragunov. Irishman, you're gonna act as spotter!", Igor ordered.

Hans opened his eyes and freaked out when he saw all the blood he was losing. "Scheiße! Zu viel Blut!", he muttered.

"Yes sir!"

Shinji replied as he started the Humvee's engines. "Buckle your seat belts. We're about to get into a wild ride."

Mike glared at Igor. "That's Mike, sir." He reminded the man. "And I am Chinese-Irish." He went to sit down at the rear of the driver's seat.

"NOW! HANG ON!"

Shinji pressed the gas hard and drove through the roadblock, smashing through the Royal Thai Police squad cars like nothing.

"I sure hope the Immigration or Tourist Police won't be looking for us after this shore leave!"

Mike watched as the squad cars were badly smashed that most of them were topped over on the side or on the top.

"Sure sucks to be them. Now they'll have to get new ones. And a good thing we didn't get the Chinese-made Humvees even though they look nice."

Rebecca climbed into the gunners position. "See, I knew nothing good would come of this outing." she muttered to herself.

She looked over to the German. "Stay with us Hans. You die on us, so help me, I'll dig my way to Hell and punch you in the Goddamn face!"

Hans smiled at Becky, faintly. ''Go shoot up... those fuckers...", he groaned. Then he yelled, when Akane rammed a freshly sterilized cloth inside the wound to thwart the bleeding.

They were being followed by three squad cars and a police helicopter: That meant they only faced small arms fire... At least, until they made it to the harbor.

Jade started yelling instructions to Mike: She utterly ignored the GPS's suggested route, instead looking through the map to find a faster one. Igor frantically called the ship through his cell-phone: Telling them to raise their Viet flag of convenience so the Americans and the Thai wouldn't blow them up... And demanding they lowered the ramp for the Humvee.

He'd be getting a harsh chewing-out from the contacts at the VPN for causing an incident... Then again, that's all it would amount to.

"Oh crap." Mike looked outside. "Three Corollas and... is that a Bell 206?"

He then heard Jade shouting at him. Unfortunately, the Chinese-Irish thought that she was speaking too fast that he didn't understand her.

Shinji concentrated on driving the Humvee as fast as possible, listening to Jade's instructions to head towards the Fortuna.

Rebecca began firing on the chopper. The Humvee could outrun the cars, but a chopper?

Not so much.

Once the chopper got the message that RVI was playing for keeps, they butted out of the chase, taking a sharp turn left and returning to base.

They couldn't counter the heavy machinegun, and trying small arms fire against the gunner with a sharpshooter at her side was foolhardy at best.

"Incoming left turn! Hang on!"

Shinji prepared to turn left at the three-way intersection, doing so at the steering wheel while using the brakes to slow down and avoid crashing onto a civilian vehicle.

"Alright! Here goes!"

After getting the Humvee to turn left, Shinji removed his foot from the brakes and proceeded to step on the gas as soon as the way was clear.

"We should be getting close to the harbor..."

Rebecca saw the chopper leave. "Huh, guess that have brains after all." She fired a few bursts at the patrol vehicles, hoping that they would follow suit.

"Hopefully, we get there soon."

BOOM.

One of the tires of the chasing vehicles exploded, making said vehicle swerve to one side, eventually being driven off the road in a lampost.

"My sight... has returned." Gramps said, blowing the smoke out of his grizzly. "Now...a little shut eye... would be good...yeah..." He said, before the combined effort of adrenaline burnt out, head clubbing and a night of party and alcohol made the old man collapse exhausted in what he assumed it was someone's cleavage.

The other two patrol vehicles stood their ground: These dudes had heavy weaponry. It was business for the military.

"Almost there..." Shinji drove the Humvee left and right a few times to get clear of civilian vehicles.

"Now that's done..." Mike looked at the back to see one of the RTP Corollas totaled. "The police may call on the Naresuan 261 and maybe on the Arintharat 26."

Indeed, Naresuan had already been called. Three of their vehicles (black, armored vans) blocked the entrance to the harbor.

Fortunately for the crew, the role of the counter-terrorist police unit was to break up guerrillas, not people in armored vehicles with heavy machineguns. Either way, the main entrance to the harbor was closed. This time, there was no going through.

Then the realization came: If the vans were there, snipers were there too: Igor dropped inside the vehicle, dragging Becky down with him. This was a conundrum... The solution, however, was quite simple.

"Mike, grab the RPG-22! Send those bastards straight to Hell!", the Commander ordered. "And put on the goddamn helmet! They'll be aiming for your head!"

Naresuan agents were trying to board the frigate: They wore full body armor and M16s.

"Understood."

Mike grabbed the RPG-22 and made ready with the weapon by extending the tube before donning a Japanese-made Type 88 helmet, which was a copy of the American-made PASGT helemt. It had a good fit for him.

"Prepare to bust right in." He told Shinji, who nodded after aiming the weapon's sights.

"Have a taste of Russian HEAT." muttered the ex-ARW commando when he fired the Russian-made LAW weapon, watching the rocket head straight for one of the Naresuan armored vans.

The van might have survived an incident with an RPG 7. It stood no chance in Hell against an RPG 22. The blast was such that it turned the armor into deadly shrapnel, and pushed the van partly out of the way.

Now, it could be rammed...

"Jackpot!", Jade said, high-fiving Mike.

Meanwhile, despite Akane's best efforts, Miller started shivering... "Ich verblutet...", he muttered. Unless he got a transfusion before 20 minutes, he was a goner.

"Alright, folks!" Mike said after returning the high five to Jade and tossing the used RPG-22 inside the vehicle. "The path is clear."

"IKEEE!!!!!" Shinji shouted, punching the Humvee through the roadblock.

"We'll need to hurry." Mike advised the others. "It seems that Naresuan 261's here. We need to get out of here before they get reinforcements from Arintharat 26."

"We're in the area!" Shinji shouted to the others, seeing the Fortuna. "I hope the others can make it back."

Arianna scowled, leaning her head back against the steel wall. She knew there was a reason she hadn't joined the others in their quest to get wasted. Could hear the fire from the ship. Thought she heard a rocket launcher a few minutes ago.

It had been hard to refuse. She really loved alcohol.

"God damn it," she hissed to herself, cocking the pistol; what the hell was she trying to take down armoured police with a damned handgun? Jesus.

There was a crash from beyond the corner. At least three of them. She knelt down and took aim, swearing under her breath.

Two of the SWAT guys got onboard... And Ari had a point blank shot lined up against one of the guys' (unarmored) faces.

The other was almost instantly taken down by Trooper Joker's taser gun: He started writhing in pain, eventually falling unconscious.

At the sight of the Humvee (and its machinegun), the other cops gave up: Two of them dropped from the ramp to the sea. The remaining two, facing certain death, chose to go forward and surrender.

"We're on board!"

Shinji shouted as he got on board the Fortuna. He then then told everyone to get their seatbeats unfastened while he started to turn off the engine.

Mike removed the Type 88 and placed it on the Humvee floor next to the spent RPG-22.

"We got company!" He drew out his UAE-made Caracal F pistol after stepping out of the Humvee and raising the weapon in a Weaver-type stance.

When Shinji saw the incoming Naresuan 261 operators, he drew out his Glock 19 and shouted at them to lower their weapons right now.

TO Bruckmann, the ship's pilot, instantly started the engines. The ship started its way out of the harbor. The only American ship in the harbor, the cruiser Princeton, started pursuit.
