I think that's inevitably going to happen (there's a semi-credible leak going around that says Kirby is coming as DLC—check the Smash Bros. thread), but I hope the series keeps the Mario Kart branding. It's just too famous and popular.

Honestly my only hope for future DLC in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is that Bowser Castle 4 returns as a course, with the pipes being alternate paths you can take via zero gravity.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.
